If the company has desperate to fill the position and they feel it's hard to fill that position they will not be strict to their rule. There is always a demand and supply ratio.
Cracked an interview in TCS and while processing my profile they stopped it telling I have career gap. SAD TRUTH IS AS PER COMPANIES POLICY CAREER GAP IS A CRIME!!!!

Our Indian HR mindset is very beurocratic
If they found gap ...they come to immediate conclusion that's candidate is not fit for job but other side like they don't try to think like it's private sector companies you can't expect to have work ever season ..so companies do asks employees to go ..

The Europeans and the Americans,the westerners take breaks from their careers occasionally for say one year they travel see various places gain insights they have no qualms about taking long breaks for traveling,seeing the world or other reasons which is good this gives insights
Yes it is crime in India. One time i cleared technical interview in Infosys but HR rejected me by saying that you have 3 months of gap. I had some health issues that's why i didnot work but HR argued with me because of company policy we cannot hire you.

Aksar bachon ko job Milne ke liye graduation ke baadh minimum 6 to 9 months lagte hain aur woh 6,9 months gap me consider nahi karna chahiye.

99%hr are poor quality in india I had faced 20 company
Got selected in ust global, nissum, Infosys, capgemini but all did the same. They r taking interviews for time pass.
Unfair policies must be reformed
And few companies don't hire people if they have more than 5 yrs of experience
Nothing wrong to take career break for countless personal and family reasons. It's not any more single sided game for corporates. Corporates also need people.

I have 3 year and 6 months of gap in my resume. I took break for UPSC prep. But now I am struggling to get job due to resume gap. Now I am upskilling myself to manage the gap. I am a civil engineer with 2yr and 5months experience.Hoping for the best!

I have 3 year career gap and whenever I go to interview they just take me not seriously when some hr are good I applied around 60 or 100 what I got only just 2 it mean is nothing. Gap is really a bad crime in india.

@ks ahmed it's happened with many of my friends TCS think that any GAP is crime and the same they will feel you. It's a bitter truth..

Ask them why they are looking to Hire someone from India or considering your resume for Malaysia...these type of aimless questions from HR leads to no where ..if they really have a need they won't ask these type of questions .. anyways ...on a different note if you really wanna answer this question in like ..tell them the job profile is more or less matching your carreer expectations and nothing like it when it's an onsite oppty and gaining in peeson international experience and how you can add value to the table... btw most of the hiring managers or HRs ask these type of questions by goggling interview questions ..and even they do not know what's the answer for that .. btw there is no right or wrong answer to such questions ...

Hey I am 23 passout batch, still i have not received any job offer as every company is looking for experienced persons. I have a plan to join a good certification course to upskill myself. I guess the course will cover the gap for me. Correct me if im wrong,Let me know whats your suggestion,

Hi sir, I've 3.3 years of experience as a java developer and also ive 3.5 years of career gap. In this recession period, whether companies will accept me with this much of gap. Do we have any openings for career gapers.
You will get less calls, HR will try to keep you resume aside unless it is urgent need or will try to negotiate for less salary.
It happened to me, I had 3 years gap. Out of which, it took me 9 months only to get a job. HR gave me the same salary that I got 3 years before.

I was advised to make 4 years fake experience before applying to a CMMI level 5 company.
Now everyday new freshers are coming into market, how can we compete with them. Colleges pay money to companies to hire their students.
There are tons of IT companies in market. Not necessarily to go for CMMI level 5

Career gap, don't try for IT jobs,
Even though you get job starting salary is very less, and can't sustain pressure of work, better try any business
