- An mythical cobblestone wonder of the cycling world, the Tremola! Neither of us have much cobble riding experience, for Taylor it was none, but we handled business and had a great time down this classic road.

Them roads .... ❤️ All cobble! Laying them all by hand, unreal amount of work to do that.
确实,我第一眼看着感觉好奇怪,后面才发现是石块拼接铺设而生,这项工程的工作量可不小!😮
Thanks for sharing
Love you guys, people who don't cycle wouldn't know the courage this takes
And fitness 💪
The Gotthard route is one of Europe's main North-South transalpine routes and sees a ton of traffic. The cool thing is that there is the highway tunnel down the valley soaking up most traffic (3-4h delay anyone?), the very modern pass road you see in the background a few times (big busses use it no problem) and the old road we see here. Because the first two exist, the third predominantly belongs to bike riders.
This one was interesting for sure haha! The views though... Insanely beautiful climb!
Visually Stunning views!Thank you Safa!Superb Ride!👌🤘😎🤘
That's awesome guys. Loved the video. It's basically therapy. What a route! Keep it up 👏👏
Your longevity never ceases to amaze me 🎉
In Switzerland, there is a saying: "Manchmal bleibt Gott hart." in relation to the Gotthard pass and it's harsh conditions sometimes (weather, wind, etc.), but also because of the heavy traffic in holiday rush time through the Gotthard tunnel. :)
Awesome video... like all your others! ❤ I rode on those cobbles many years ago in the rain.
Nice scenic adventure.
I just did that in Sept 2024 with 35mm Gravel king tires, it was a blast. I was so pretty I even stopped to look while going down hill
Great run! I wish there were places like this near my city
Need a full bolt check after that one. 😂
Dose of adrenaline received ❤🎉
You've solved a puzzle for me I think. I was wondering why I keep binging on these SAFA Brian vids even though I'm terrified of descending in real life. Some kind of vicarious adrenaline buzz maybe.
Did it years ago, but bikepaking and opposite way😅
Stunning views
still faster than me descending on a smooth road xD
god of non-motorized asphalt-dirt-whateversurface-cruisers, i hope the swiss streets (specially the cobbled ones) served u well
Legendary road, old-style cobblestones
8:58 - start of asphalt
Always make sure to check bolts after a ride with lots of cobbles 😂
Thanks!
Thank you!
bro...the guy following...lol his bars were bobbing like nuts
just love your videos! the sound is amazing. which microphone do you use? where do you put it in the bike?
is there any reason why you're still using GoPro hero 7, instead of the newer ones.
greetings, keep up the good work :)
shout out from philipines
We should rename Switzerland to Watopia. Those views 😍
Yo, real sweet ridin'. Got a question though. What is the overlay for the video? Is it the Garmin overlay?
This ride title is literally: How to make your brakes temp as high as the sun lol
No it's not
@@bullfrogboss8008 🤓🤓
SAFA removes his brake pads before every descent. It's true...
@@Matthew-ez4ze replaces them?
I rode this the other direction (uphill where they've come downhill) in 1989. Didn't they take a wrong turn at 14:40? I was never on such a narrow and minor road on this climb. And while the road is said to be cobbled, if you think of Paris-Roubaix as cobbled-hard, uneven edges, not tightly spaced---this is really brick, tightly and one could say smoothly laid--a truly remarkable bit of labor/construction. I'll ask this question in a more recent posting in hopes of getting the men to answer: they ride without so much as a saddle wedge to carry spares and tools, not to mention their overnight clothes which leads me to believe they are accompanied by a car carrying their baggage, toiletries...and spares and tools. Oh, and do they ride uphill? Their (thoroughly enjoyable [except for dangerous passing] videos are all downhill.
Hi, my respect! When exactely has this video been taken? Thanks!
Did you use 30mm tires for the descent and were you both on tubeless?
Pavé???? Nooooooo! That's insane! 💀
How did you mount Hammerhead on Creston Handlebar ?
nice
man, clean setup! what bike do you use?
That looked SKETCHY lol
Did you ride up?
thoughts on using straps instead of cleats? I'm looking for a gravel to use it for all purposes, daylife and sport
I wouldn't. Mtb pedals and sneaker style spd shoes is better but I prioritise the riding part.
Does this road not affect the bike wheel?
is cobble slippery?
2:28 how about grip on this type of road if using 28mm road tire?
welcome to switzerland the gotthard pass was one of the first links to unite southern and northern europe.
Pourrait-on connaître la section des pneus (ou boyaux) utilisés et surtout leur pression de gonflage??
Your cycle is beast. I am in love with it. Whats the brand. I know it will out of affordability range second we rare have roads like this.
he has a scott bike
Ridden up it wasn't to bad but man I can believe it's almost harder going down. Though cobbles is a bit to big a word for these tiles, Flanders, Roubaix those are cobbles.
Yeah these are as good as they get. So smooth.
Maybe it's just me, but watching Taylor enter switchbacks at those angles gives me anxiety.
I keep thinking, "He's gonna go down!"
Thank for sharing. How to display speed, heart rate, power ... on video, bro ?
I wonder if one could descend faster with a hardtail or even full suspension mountainbike -- until you reach the tarmac. 🤔
Cobbles aren't aggressive enough to warrant suspension apart from the one provided by the tires. That said, bigger tires would help so a frame with enough clearance for a tire with +30c like a gravel one would be better.
The Paris-Roubaix of descents. 💀
Can someone tell me the name of the bicycle?
Heck no! Sketchy!
What brand of breaks do you have? No skweeeeeek
Dura Ace
Why you ride a bicycle without any suspension?
Would love for you guys to put up average cadence on these rides
🤩😎😊
Where????
haha...nightmare material...lol
How do you film?
