That's the biggest problem with this model, no one makes aftermarket shock mounts. So we have to figure this out. Thank you for coming up with an unique solution. Don't forget to add grease to transfer case and motor gearbox. Mine were all almost dry
Ty for the idea on the red and tacky. I'm in east Tennessee and we got hit by the flood . All my husbands RCs were covered by 6 inches of mud last Friday. He lost 2 controlers, batteries and 2 of crawler trucks were destroyed. But I know he said he has to tear the rest down and clean the mud out and grease them. I'll stop and get him some of the red and tacky that might help him. Thank you
I think it looks absolutely great, lot of cool ideas. I found this video because I’m ordering a Rochobby Atlas this week & want to do some work on it. These are great tips, awesome video. 😌🤘🏻
The Atlas is coming along nicely. I really like the paint job on the fuel tanks and exhaust stacks. Nice Job! Denting the diamond plate is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.
Great job so far Gerry! The chassis seems very similar to the FJ40 I'm working on, I think they all share comonality. I like what you did with the wheels and foams too. Look forward to the next update. Hope you are well
Great work with the sharpie and paint marker. Some really really nice work dude. Wheel weights some really great stuff dude. Get more weight up front lol jk with the wheel weights motor up front I cut front foams…same way funny tire roll on extreme side hills never bothered me too much lol. I gotta try the inserts have some sitting here just haven’t food right tire to put ‘em on. Like how beadlock went together very cool

Thanks buddy!
Looking good Gerry. Cool stuff man
Thanks nick!
Looking good, like the 2 tone and the wheels came out great, the detail on the grill looks painful to do but you nailed it! thanks for sharing.
Thanks Derrick! Grill wasn't to bad, sprayed with silver then black was paint marker. Finished it with flat clear coat.
@@gerrysoldguyreview thanks for the tip👍
@derrickhays3627 no problem

Thanks my friend all is very well. I do believe they are the same, the fj is next on my list!
You choose a really gorgeous paint scheme. Yeah you have a very artistic approach. I really like what you've done so far. Your dog is soooo sweet.
Thank you so much Ed!

Thank you! I also noticed weird tire roll after I cut the foams
Dig the wheel weights, I managed to crack the stock plastic hex and stripped them immediately.
I replaced my hexes right away, everytime I took off the wheels they stuck in the wheel! Cheap weight!!
Awesome, mine is stock but not for long.
Drove mine outside today, what a difference.
Thanks bob
Nice video👍✨️✨️
Thank you 🤗
Hey number 1! 🤘🏻
In my book yes you are!!🤣🤣
Shock keys make great shock towers
Thanks frankie, I just looked the up!
now i wanna build one
It's a fun cheap option
Gtreat!! But I preferred if FMS would have done this with hard body as the FMS FJ40 1/10
I would have to, but the hard parts on the body do make it pretty nice!
@@gerrysoldguyreview awesome thanks for your input
Thanks for tuning in!
