So when your dashboard to light it up instead of using the piece that they included to put gauges on use a piece of milk carton to glue your gauge decals on that and when you light up the back the milk carton plastic will diffuse the lights

It's amazing how much a highly detailed model can inspires you to take on a huge project to make it your own. It's even more amazing how a couple rattle cans of paint in the hands of someone talented can transform a model. Blue is not really my thing but I can't wait to see it finished. The Mashigan looks awesome Fair RC had them just recently & was selling them for cheap they had 1:10 scale suprise boxes & a lot of them were Mashigans for a believe $250. I went to the FMS festival & they had one that was weathered & it looked like a real Jeep. I don’t know much about the performance I was just about to get one & found out the 1:10 scale Blazers were coming so I never did get one. Then a was going to get the Axail Jeep but it was out of stock forever so now if I can I’ll get the FMS Jeep. Hopefully you get it out & run it maybe you already did so I’ll check the older videos Thanks for the look at it.

I'm looking forward to this build, or rebuild... I think FMS builds their stuff intending on the buyer keeping the body, whereas many others expect you to ditch the body for something better or cooler because a clear mashigan body would be a dream, IMHO of course.

The 4.2 was just the earliest variation in the YJ, the 4.0 and 4.2 weren't offered later years only the 4.0 far as I know. Jeep guys are idiots I'll take my square headlights all day and I own 6 1:1s in everything I'll take my YJ all day. FMS did a great job its the size that puts people off, it put me off forever amd that was a mistake because I love this rig. If you want to convert that to a CJ front end I do believe Ive seen CJ grilles on Etsy for these. The mashigan would be early year YJ due to the roll bar being what us YJ guys consider the death bar roll bar lol!. They may have not blacked out the fender flare the Sierra models had painted to match body color fender flares. Great video man. Oh and the YJ was Jeeps first endeavor to try and modernize YJ AKA Yuppie Jeep 😂😂

Excellent thoughts on FMS they continue to make & improve their lineup. That Mashigan is awesome. I have the Rock hobby 1:12 Military Jeep, the 1:10 Blazer, 1:24 Blazer and 1:18 Toyota Landcruiser. I’ve been very happy with all of them. I went to the FMS festival & meet the owner of FMS & he was there with his family & say the 1:10 Blazer before it was released. He is a RC lover & it shows he is no different then any of us he expects performance & good looks for a good price. I recommend the 1:24 Blazer that looks just like the FMS 10 Blazer it is a great performer & is super cool to see it next to its big brother both are the same exact color. Check out Fair RC they take the FMS models customize them & sell them. But that FMS 10 is my favorite glad you picked it up it’s 100% fun.

Power wagon is a small cab. The reason they are so popular. I have one. In my opinion it's closer to 1 18. I put a static 24 scale blazer on my other atlas and the axles are noticeabley wider. I'm a stickler when it comes to scale. The wagon is more 1 18 scale. For starters ur scale is wrong on ur 1 12 scale drivers. 5 inch figure... Is he Danny devito. 6 inch Equals 6' in 1 12 scale

I really appreciate your willingness to say when a good thing is good, even if it's budget priced. I've noticed a lot of price-based gate-keeping by some youtubers in the RC community and it sucks. Just because I can't throw $1000 at a project doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to enjoy the hobby. Thank you for what you o and how you do it.

I bought the Mashigan with the intention of repainting it white. I took it to Moab and it filmed beautifully. Have the body off, and now I'm terrified to strip it down! Lol. There are a ton of teeny tiny screws I know I'll strip! Hurry and show me the way! Stay small, brother..

Gerry Im on my 4th 6x6 thanks to you😅 I finally found an axial 6x6 unimog ...I'm swapping the Mog body to the trx6 chassis so it can have portals like it's supposed to be...and G wagon 6x6 body on the axial chassis so it can be straight axle like it's supposed to be ❤.

All the lawsuits Traxxas slapped over the cantilever suspension that they stole from the 1:1 racing world but they act like they are the ones that invented it😂. No doubt about FMS took ideas on that FCX10 from the Trx4 along with other brands but I dont see the big deal about that honestly. Man that diff grind is awful geeze! I would expect little better quality control if they are going to throw down against the big brands wow! Adjustable drag brake is very nice idea. Good video

Good video, the Mashigan is a great super scale trail rig absolutely love mine leaf swapped for more correct scale version. I let the size put me off the Mashigan for long time and that was a mistake because its a blast to take out and trail. I can't speak on the Fcx10 only seem one on a trail we were playing on a bit, only thing I noticed is he had issues fitting on smaller trails seemed like it was more 1/8 maybe. I didn't get close look at it though. I personally think FMS is doing some great stuff in the hobby on a budget. All the big manufacturers just are IMO pricing the RTR market to far outta range to have sub par electronics to me. Jeep is just a PITA to work worth from what I've heard, go figure Jeep would be that way. They are the Traxxas of the 1:1 world 😂. From my understanding the grill change was due to Jeep hitting them with a lawsuit unless they changed the front end. Jeep hit Tamiya Rc4wd and FMS all with the same thing.

Great video Gerry , FMS is doing well for sure . Love my FJ40 and recently got the 1/12 scale jimny, it’s crazy realistic, doesn’t perform well but I don’t care . 👍

Awesome look at these RC’s I’ve been looking at some of the Diesel Rigs & they are so cool some are just crazy with all the lights & cabs my brother has been a big rig driver for years. I’d love to see the Tractors working as well I’ve seen these gatherings that are like a city of big rigs, tractors & every kind of service vehicle you can imagine. 👍
