I dont care if companies send you them for free, or you buy them with your hard earned money. I just want honest reviews. That's what you give. That's why people are coming to your channel. Keep it up.
Really appreciate that!
Fully agree
👍👍👍😎😎😎liked & sub'd from U K
When I got into this about 5 years ago after a 30 break I built some pricey rigs never again glad I found the 24 scale kept me in the hobby..but a truck like this with some mods I'm definitely into getting plus little Doug will luv it lol
I just ordered one of these and got a free fms magnum truck! Basically Paid $150 for the Atlas! Can't wait to mod it out.
If it's a Jeep it's marking it's parking spot!!! If it ain't leaking then it's out of oil or fluid!!!!🤣🤣🤣 I have only driven my MASHIGAN a couple of times, it drives alright. I am wanting to paint the body to match my YJ and swap out the motor and esc to a HW 2in1!!!!🤘🤘🤘
What I appreciate about videos like this is it's perfect for a recommendation. Would I get it for myself, no. Would I recommend this to anyone considering a 1/10th scale? Hell yes! Perfect rig for a starter
Great review 2FM love this truck!
Yeah I love the look of it, the power wagons is one of my favorite. Yep we’re here watching Matt
I really love how they have already you can put the trailer hitch receiver in the bumper already set up for super cool
I agree. Looks cool & price is right.
Really love this rig, but I got the silver eagle instead, I’ll just have to get that one later down the road. Really loving my silver eagle it looks so awesome.Well appreciate you sharing I’ll watch for the next one
Very cool looking truck!! I have pretty much gone off the deep end on 1/10 scale trucks. I now have 7. LCG, Sport, TRX4, and some scratchbuilt ones from random parts. But I am definitely getting this one, just because it looks BAD$$$!!! And I probably already have all the upgrade parts I would need, so this one is a no brainer for me!! Thanks for the as usual cool video!!! Keep it up!
They are definitely addicting! Lol
These are nice. Me and my dad got ours last week. Already swapped wheels and tires, servos, and esc's.
I swapped the steering servo on mine & it made no difference, it steers badly to the right, lots of backing up is frustrating just to make a right hand turn.
I just picked up a Fordyce... now I'm considering one of these too... because why not? Looks like a nice truck with some cool details.
Wow what a awesome playground, RC heaven yeah
Yes it is!
Not a bad crawler truck bro! Thks for sharing 😊
You’re correct on the clips to keep the body down, first roll over and mine broke. Also I have a bad ticking sound in mine, you can really hear it in my last video. I agree, this is a great starter rig!
Pretty truck. A kind of giant FCX24 Power Wagon. It'd be perfect with the same looking wheels.
Nice truck. It's funny I have those tires on my 1/10 bronco just got a 2.2 set for my gatekeeper and ordered 2 pair for my wife's cayman and mine lol. It takes a minute but they get soft .😅 they turn out to be quite good
Hello from France,
Very nice video, and after having seen a good number of videos on this truck it is the first video which seems to me very impartial and extremely pragmatic, moreover it demonstrates quite clearly the qualities and defects of this truck.
I am taking advantage of your expertise regarding this truck to ask you a question.
What is the maximum thickness of the battery that can be installed? because I can't find any information regarding this parameter.
Thank you for your video.😃
Hey brother. That looks super nice, and a fair price too.
I ordered one of these in a bundle on Amazon. This and a 1/18 6x6 Atlas. $250. Using points I paid $160 for both. (June 19).
Nice! That’s a deal for sure!
I'm upgrading mine
Got my silver eagle today Man I love this truck love my monster trucks it looks so awesome really looks good with my mofo monster truck Tires and rims black rims
Nice!!! I bet that looks killer!
Lectron Pro batteries are what I recommend. Been using my same batteries for 3 years and no problems. Same power and life as 3 years ago
I’ll have to try some. I honestly haven’t bought any 3s batteries in years because the zeee packs I’m running just keep going lol. Haven’t killed any of them! I run them in everything. Only one I ever killed I drove in the ocean with my xmaxx 😆
Oops
Hobbywing 1080 G2 has real driving mode, you can set reverse to a spare channel then push button or switch to put it in reverse, makes reversing a lot nicer and less jerky.
That sounds interesting! Can you still hit reverse like normal also? Kinda be rough if you’re about to tip over and needed to hit reverse quickly lol
@@2fmrc no you can't, not while real driving mode is on. I did think of that just gotta be ready to hit the switch lol
I’m just waiting for a 1/10 scale 6x6 from fms, then I’ll jump onboard and get one.
Looks awesome will probably get this one and LCG it as it is a 1080 would change it
Yes it would! That and a stronger servo. I run the 35kg amazon specials a lot in budget builds. Works great!
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set the drag brake on this thing. I let go of the throttle on flat surface and it completely stops. Would like to try 50% or 75%.
This body is a great candidate for a patina paint job
Absolutely!
Any news on a body mount system on this truck? I bought mine and was thinking about putting a different body on but I can't find any info anywhere! Anyways great video!
Thanks! I haven’t heard of anything for it. I’d say you could make some body posts for a 10ii or something work with a little work.
@@2fmrc I'm gonna have to try that! Thanks for the reply!
4 things wrong with this truck... bumper, shocks, battery tray & steering. If you can fix those, this Atlas 4x4 will be right up there with the Element Ecto. It's also very front heavy.
Missing pan hard bar on both lol
No it’s there. Just can’t see it
I'm not that interested in 1/10th crawlers, but this seems like a decent truck for the price for someone getting into 1/10th scale that doesn't mind upgrading down the road.
Absolutely! When the weather is good and I can get out with the 1/10s they are definitely my favorite. I prefer the 1/24s cause I can run them inside lol
It would be interesting to see a compairison of this vs the RTG Challenger. I'm looking at purchasing one or the other just not sure which one yet.
The RGT is worth almost 3 times as much an has 2 speed and dig function. On paper the RGT is alot better.
@@JP-qq2kn I realize that, my thought was a comparison of the atlas @ $250 basically a bare bones rig, that needs upgrades. Vs the challenger @ $410, that’s has most of the upgrades needed for the atlas. Which one is the better value?
@@robertkirchoff9407 the better option is obvious... the RGT Is the better option.
If I hadn’t gotten my trx4 sport kit I’d likely have gotten this. Imagine a Hobbywing fusion se and real hyraxes in this. Only dissapointmenting thing is friction shocks. A 10th scale should definitely have oil shocks. And a 1060 out the box wouldn’t have been that more of a stretch.
They are oil shocks. They just aren't very good.
looks good..dont forget the element sendero se for $299.
Yes! Another great option. I don’t like the looks as well though.
@@2fmrc yeah its a bit more modern truck like for sure but its a well made body compared to the origional and has a decent bed, flares etc.
Is it water resistant? Is that tint stickers on clear windows? I agree it is a nice looking rig.
Should definitely be water resistant. Not sure about waterproof cause the receiver is out in the open. The esc has a boat mode also so I’d say it would do fine in water. Should be good unless submerging it lol
ESC and servo are rated as waterproof. The receiver is rated as splash proof.
Would this or the mashigan or the 1/6 willys be better at offroad?
This for sure. The Mashigan would be 2nd because it performs close to this one but has lots of doors and stuff that like to fly open. This one is definitely best in the tougher stuff.
@@2fmrc ok! 👍
Did your bench get smaller? Nice job.
Haha! It seems that way when I put the larger scale stuff up there. I’m gonna have to work on a larger work area at some point.
@@2fmrc and longer arms!
Man , I hope they bring out a 1/10 atlas 6x6 at a half reasonable price , anything to avoid giving my money to traxxas 😂😂
I’m hoping they make a pro version. Hobbywing 1080, portals and or a 2 speed. Also oil filled shocks.
You took it out and it didnt break so fms atlas > redcat gen 8 lol
I bought blue and yellow then the gf saw orange and got that one too🤣🤣
They seem really good! I wouldn’t mind having another lol
@@2fmrc
For the price, I can't complain. I mean, I have trx4's but THESE I like the scale look just like the Defender
$4.00 velcro at Dollar General.
I like this!! Hope my lhs gets them “sure they will” so I can see one in my hand. I’m sure it’s not trx4,axial etc stats but this is a cool rig! Just wish they would STOP tinting the windows lol at least the front. Awesome breakdown & vid! Definitely gonna get one just cause it looks cool!😂
They are stickers and you can see through them if looking close so I’d say if we pull the stickers they’ll be clear. Just no trim. I’m gonna find out lol
Is it 2 speed?
No. Single speed on this one.
4a or 8a for the light switch??
I’m using the 4a
@@2fmrc
Excellent! Thanks for the response! Ordering as we chat 3 of those and the servos for each of my rigs through the links provided ✌
@@swashbucklingadventures9929 really appreciate that! Which servo did you go with?
@@2fmrc
Decided to hold off for now until I actually drive one of them. Debating between 35 & 45. Not sure yet. I'm also eyeballing a 1080.
@@swashbucklingadventures9929 I was gonna say I haven’t ran the 45kg hv on this stock esc. Hopefully it’ll run it fine. I know it’ll run the 35kg.
That bumper would be gone ASAP
Lol yeah it would make the truck much more capable! I may try mounting a different style on it.
Wow! The most critically endangered species on TH-cam, a product review that does NOT come at you like an infomercial. Thank you sir! HEY to Liam.
Liam says hey! I can’t stand the infomercials either. One reason I started the channel lol. Really appreciate the comment!
Im not really interested in 1/10 at the moment but this is kinda persuading me. 🤔
If you have good spots to run them I prefer 1/10. The ease of 1/24s is what makes them so great though!
