Hello Gustav, I have not used pegs with the rubber insert in a very long time, as I recall, yes I noticed a bit more vibration. I stopped noticing it quickly. Thank you for stopping by! And I appreciate the kind words. - Frank
Good video. I have a pair of these on the Himalayan. They were a massive improvement on the stock pegs and helped spread the weight out when standing. I'm debating stealing them for the Norden or getting some Vanasche pegs since they lower the foot position. I think that will help my standing position and give my knees a little extra room.
Hello Mike, interesting. I find the legs position on my KTM 790 could also use a bit more room. And I have short legs! KTM needs to design for "Ready to Adventure," instead of "Ready to Race. - Frank
Appreciate the excellent info. I saw a claim these were thin / claimed they could be dangerous. Did you look at that aspect of these (maybe comparitively); they look great! Thanks.
Hello, I agree they are a little thinner than most. That said I do not expect that to be an issue. It's quality aluminum, I think that enough force to break the peg is causing issue for ya that probably out you right off the bike - Frank
Hello Alain, I have a pair of NICECNC on my Honda that are four years old. That said, I think these are thin if you are going to be running them into rocks. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Hello Gregor, IMHO its a good product, at a great price. I would have saved the money and bought this if it was available when I was looking for pegs. - Frank
Too late! I'm already $240 poorer. The ONE thing I don't appreciate all the time about my Rivals is that they are larger than stock. Yeah, I know that's one of the reasons you get new pegs, but being familiar with my smaller stock pegs, I constantly am hitting my ankles on the bigger set. Just a caveat to those who are on the fence about moving up to bigger pegs. thx Frank, S
Hello Stuart, I have been on a few bikes where I smack my ankles. My 390 is not bad, but I am hitting the 790 pegs. I will send you a peg compassion on Instagram. - Frank
Hello, it does not appear so. Measuring from the top of the pag, at the back, it's 12" from the ground. I measured my peg and it was 12 1/8. So no significant drop IMHO. - Frank
I have the same ones on my Tenere 700, and I like the much bigger platform. However, do you also find them a bit too grippy when shifting up with big boots?
Hello Bjorn, I do find the tall posts a little TOO tall, and I needed to lift my boots more to then shift, you cannot really slide the boot down to shirt. I would like a shorter peg. - Frank
Just ordered a set... can't wait! Thanks for the heads up!
Hello Jazz, I hope they serve you well! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Just ordered a set Frank. Thanks for your review.
Hello Shawn, hope they work well for you. They are by far the least expensive option. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Been Eying these for a while. Best Video on it yet! Did you discern any more vibration because of the "no rubber?"
Hello Gustav, I have not used pegs with the rubber insert in a very long time, as I recall, yes I noticed a bit more vibration. I stopped noticing it quickly. Thank you for stopping by! And I appreciate the kind words. - Frank
I know a guy in Tennessee that is excellent at bike washing…maybe the 390 could take a visit there. 🤣
I am concerned, his attention to detail would keep the bike at Glenn's for a week! - Frank
V !!!!
Great info Frank! Foot pegs are a huge improvement!
Hello William, hey... where is our V-Strom XT content! - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding once I get a new computer, there will be lots! Been riding it a bit lately in the mornings due to the heat. Stay tuned!

Hello Rob, thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it knowing ou are moving though California at HIGH SPEED these days! - Frank
Speed Racer Rob now! - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding The reality is that I am a conservative old man riding cautiously on a very cool mtorcycle.
I just ordered a set of those this week. Looking forward to getting them on my 390.
I hope they work well for you! Orange or Black? - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding I decided on the black ones.
@@hillquestdualsport Probably a good choice. My red ones from a few years ago are pink 🤣 - Frank
FRANK !!!!! - Great info again !!!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by Obi-Wan, even though your bike has great pegs! - Frank
Nice job Frank

I am not sure about those , they look a bit flimsy . Will they last without breaking ?? Hmmm

I wonder what the facial expression of the cashier at the hardware store looks like when I buy one cotter pin... make that 2 cotter pins.
It is the look one makes when you waste their time. And I use a credit card of course. 😜😜 - Frank
Seems to be a very quality product. The grip is also very good I believe. By the way, how many miles you have now on the 390?
Hello Gregor, IMHO its a good product, at a great price. I would have saved the money and bought this if it was available when I was looking for pegs. - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding I get it.
Love my mototourenn foot pegs.
Hello Scott, I had never heard of that brank, so I went to take a look. They look like they are very heavy duty! - Frank
do the mototourenn pegs mount lower than the stock?
@@db0zr0z just a little. they have 2 ways to mount them one is high and the other low.

That footpegs can move to Duke 390?
Hello Justin, I believe the mount is identical. I have seen posts on the Facebook group that guys used Duke pegs. - Frank
Hi, Frank. Does the NiceCNC peg lower the surface by a half inch like the Black Dog pegs do?

Hello Glory, the shifter yes, not the brake. - Frank

I was wondering about them being too grippy. Has anyone tried them with removing a portion of the set screw?
KTM leaving those peg mounts angled is about as disrespectful to customers as it gets. Bizarre!
Hello Tim, bizarre is the word alright. It makes no sense. - Frank
