YES, exactly, I'm barely middle aged but my body is so inflexible that all the other 'stretching for beginners' videos on youtube were just too difficult to even begin the moves, too painful and impossible. These stretches here are perfect. I almost fee like this video would benefit from having its title changed to "Gentle Stretching for Inflexible people and Seniors, Beginner Exercises"

At 70 years of age I’ve started doing these stretches and some of your other exercises. I can’t tell you what a difference it’s made. I feel great plus getting a bit of shape back is fantastic. I really enjoy doing this everyday now, I won’t be stopping anytime soon either. Many thanks.

I'm 68 and was in pretty good shape until I was diagnosed with cancer last year. It required surgery and I've been working hard to get back to a good physical fitness routine. This video has been part of that recovery. I appreciate your gentle approach and the inclusion of your mother. I'm not sure I could handle watching a gung-ho super jock every day for months on end, but I really enjoy joining you, your cat, and your mother.

I'm going through the exact same thing, I've avoided exercise for so long because of that. I've come back to this video a few times now, it's great for my level of ability and the intensity doesn't make me so anxious.
I have been in your place, anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms but remember it’s never that bad. I just want to tell you that it does get better and you will be fine, but I know how hard this phase must be, please journal it helps a lot.

I have been doing the Yes2next video exercises since May of 2021. I love the variety to pick from: balance, cardio, stretching, bands, etc. The New Years Challenge program was great: It covered everything and is excellent for achieving cardio/strength weekly criteria. And I especially enjoyed Day 7 which presented stretching/breathing and basically relaxation exercises...it was great. Once the pandemic began my out-of-home exercise program was cancelled (still is) and I am so thankful for your videos and valuable input about why we are doing these exercises.

My husband and I are trying the gentle back exercises. I have had 2 surgeries and this seems to help. I like the walking, warm up videos, and the foot video. I fell from a ladder breaking my right hip& arm and neck R hip 2 replacements, + 1 top of hip surgery & neck fusion L 2 -7- thank you so much for having these for older women & men. I am still walking at 76.

YES!! Do something good for you! That's the spirit. The fact that you are starting a workout regime is a cause for celebration. Just take it slow and at your own pace as you're doing. You will build up strength and endurance over time -- your body will get used to the activity and want to do more! Keep up the great work.
I have CP and am too much of a fall risk for outdoor walking (for now). These workouts are just what I need to stay active safely. Weight shifting and balance are areas I need to improve. These videos are perfect. Say hi to Mochi.

I’m 62 & having joint & muscle issues related to medications. Doctor advised me to try 5-10 minutes of stretches a couple of times a day. I found this a week ago and I have never been so motivated to get moving. I have an illness that puts me on the couch a lot so just being able to turn this on my TV and move! I have done a bunch of the videos and I think this stretch one is one of the best. I think I am going to do this before any other one. I can feel the tightness leave my body. Plus I love the mother/daughter team is fantastic! There are a million videos where you can get someone to scream in your face to get fit OR you do these personal ones! I vote for the latter. This kept me going during the Pandemic, I was just fascinated and thoroughly enjoyed the stretching. I am back, 63 years old and four years later and I do this one every evening now and I am loving the workout after eating a meal and today I just about managed the 6000 steps session. After yesterday's 1-hour workout, I woke up a bit sore, so I searched for something easier to do. My plan was a simple warm up cool down combo, but this video caught my eyes, and now some of the soreness is gone! Thank you!

I am so happy to find this video. I am getting a treatment from this acupuncturist . I am already on my 19 days of treatment. I have an issue with my right knee and my acupuncturist told me to exercise slowly and easily. Walking is even bad for me and he suggested the sitting Stairmaster for me and slow stretching. Thank you and I found this video. And will do this everyday.

I noticed in your warmup video that you encouraged your mother to do as much as she can do. That was supportive. Recently my doctor recommended that I do daily stretching. Due to shoulder surgery many years ago, I have limited range of motion in one shoulder. I’ll do what I can do, even though one side will stretch more than the other.
I understand shoulder issues. I had frozen shoulder and with the help of a physical therapist was able to regain full mobility in my right shoulder. We applaud you for listening to your body and doing what you can, especially with your shoulder. In my experience, it took 6 months of regular stretching and exercises to regain my mobility. You can also try facing a wall and with your fingertips slowly crawl your fingers up the wall as high as you can-- like the itsy bitsy spider. Do 5-10 repetitions everyday. Build up slowly and stop if you feel any pain. We wish you flexibility and strength! ❤️
I have been doing gentle stretching for a year now. Started really really slow with only a few repititons and going up every few months. I am 65, have a pretty sedentary life style so realized I needed the stretching. I can now sleep on my right hip without pain all night as well as sleeping on left side without waking up to a "krick" in my neck the next day. Feeling now to add alittle more and found your video today. Thank you. Easy to follow, do and I just love your cat And mom being a part of this video. Doing alittle here and there adds up and I feel over more time, I will feel even better. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

I have RA and have not been able to work out because my knees hurt so bad. I find that I am able to do these easy workouts without any knee pain. I love it!

After suffering for months with muscle cramps in my thigh I went to a physiotherapist which I ended up overstretching so a different pain I decided to take matters into my own hands and came across your video for gentle stretching. I have been doing it daily for 10 days and already notice a difference. I am going upstairs with ease can bend down with no worries about pain and venture outside with confidence. I'm 79 and walk my 10,000 steps most days. Lately, I've been feeling stiff when arise so hopefully adding stretching will be helpful. Thank you for your videos.

Thanks! Just a quick question: I have a herniated disk, and was wondering, how many times per day I should stretch. This video had the same effect on me, as drinking my painkillers. I would really love to stop needing to drink painkillers. I used to do daily walks, but now it is too cold outside, and I catch colds easily, so I don't want to risk it. YES, exactly, I'm barely middle aged but my body is so inflexible that all the other 'stretching for beginners' videos on youtube were just too difficult to even begin the moves, too painful and impossible. I'm 68 and was in pretty good shape until I was diagnosed with cancer last year. It required surgery and I've been working hard to get back to a good physical fitness routine. I'm going through the exact same thing, I've avoided exercise for so long because of that. I've come back to this video a few times now, it's great for my level of ability and the intensity doesn't make me so anxious.
I have been in your place, anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms but remember it’s never that bad. I just want to tell you that it does get better and you will be fine, but I know how hard this phase must be, please journal it helps a lot.

I have been doing the Yes2next video exercises since May of 2021. I love the variety to pick from: balance, cardio, stretching, bands, etc. The New Years Challenge program was great: It covered everything and is excellent for achieving cardio/strength weekly criteria. And I especially enjoyed Day 7 which presented stretching/breathing and basically relaxation exercises...it was great. Once the pandemic began my out-of-home exercise program was cancelled (still is) and I am so thankful for your videos and valuable input about why we are doing these exercises.

My husband and I are trying the gentle back exercises. I have had 2 surgeries and this seems to help. I like the walking, warm up videos, and the foot video. I fell from a ladder breaking my right hip& arm and neck R hip 2 replacements, + 1 top of hip surgery & neck fusion L 2 -7- thank you so much for having these for older women & men. I am still walking at 76.

I have CP and am too much of a fall risk for outdoor walking (for now). These workouts are just what I need to stay active safely. Weight shifting and balance are areas I need to improve. These videos are perfect. Say hi to Mochi.

I found this a week ago and I have never been so motivated to get moving. I have an illness that puts me on the couch a lot so just being able to turn this on my TV and move! I have done a bunch of the videos and I think this stretch one is one of the best. I think I am going to do this before any other one. I can feel the tightness leave my body. Plus I love the mother/daughter team is fantastic! There are a million videos where you can get someone to scream in your face to get fit OR you do these personal ones! I vote for the latter. Please keep doing these. I can’t wait for new videos!!

Hello Ladies! So glad I found your site. The exercises I started with are the stretching exercise for beginners. I am 74 and most days I feel like I am in my 60's. I need something to give me that feeling and I found it with your site. I have not been walking much for at least a year-no excuses! I want to get back to walking at least 1 1/2 miles to start and work my way back to 3 miles a day. I know I have a ways to go and believe I can get there with your variety of senior exercises. This kept me going during the Pandemic, I was just fascinated and thoroughly enjoyed the stretching. I am back, 63 years old and four years later and I do this one every evening now and I am loving the workout after eating a meal and today I just about managed the 6000 steps session. Thank-you so very much and bless you both, I have so much choice here and I just keep adding my favourites to my playlist. I am, of course in awe of your Mom and I absolutely love her smile and cheeky comments all the way through. Thank-you for your snippets of knowledge regarding the human body and how we can stay supple as we go forward, I am quite excited to have so many different workouts to try now, I will never get bored. After yesterday's 1-hour workout, I woke up a bit sore, so I searched for something easier to do. My plan was a simple warm up cool down combo, but this video caught my eyes, and now some of the soreness is gone! Thank you!

I am so happy to find this video. I am getting a treatment from this acupuncturist . I am already on my 19 days of treatment. I have an issue with my right knee and my acupuncturist told me to exercise slowly and easily. Walking is even bad for me and he suggested the sitting Stairmaster for me and slow stretching. Thank you and I found this video. And will do this everyday.

I haven't done this stretching video in quite some time although I always do the general stretches that come with the walking videos. I loved the calming music and I am sure my tight muscles appreciated this.

I noticed in your warmup video that you encouraged your mother to do as much as she can do. That was supportive. Recently my doctor recommended that I do daily stretching. Due to shoulder surgery many years ago, I have limited range of motion in one shoulder. I’ll do what I can do, even though one side will stretch more than the other.
I understand shoulder issues. I had frozen shoulder and with the help of a physical therapist was able to regain full mobility in my right shoulder. We applaud you for listening to your body and doing what you can, especially with your shoulder. In my experience, it took 6 months of regular stretching and exercises to regain my mobility. You can also try facing a wall and with your fingertips slowly crawl your fingers up the wall as high as you can-- like the itsy bitsy spider. Do 5-10 repetitions everyday. Build up slowly and stop if you feel any pain. We wish you flexibility and strength! ❤️
I have been doing gentle stretching for a year now. Started really really slow with only a few repititons and going up every few months. I am 65, have a pretty sedentary life style so realized I needed the stretching. I can now sleep on my right hip without pain all night as well as sleeping on left side without waking up to a "krick" in my neck the next day. Feeling now to add alittle more and found your video today. Thank you. Easy to follow, do and I just love your cat And mom being a part of this video. Doing alittle here and there adds up and I feel over more time, I will feel even better. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

I have RA and have not been able to work out because my knees hurt so bad. I find that I am able to do these easy workouts without any knee pain. I love it!

After suffering for months with muscle cramps in my thigh I went to a physiotherapist which I ended up overstretching so a different pain I decided to take matters into my own hands and came across your video for gentle stretching. I have been doing it daily for 10 days and already notice a difference. I am going upstairs with ease can bend down with no worries about pain and venture outside with confidence. I'm 79 and walk my 10,000 steps most days. Lately, I've been feeling stiff when arise so hopefully adding stretching will be helpful. Thank you for your videos.

Just a quick question: I have a herniated disk, and was wondering, how many times per day I should stretch.
This video had the same effect on me, as drinking my painkillers. I would really love to stop needing to drink painkillers.
I used to do daily walks, but now it is too cold outside, and I catch colds easily, so I don't want to risk it.
Should I combine these stretching videos with a five-minute walking video as well?
