Seriously? The bearded unmasked head is NOT Eric Masterson, this is from when Walt drew Thor with a beard. The Destroyer CAN lift Mjolnir as its not a living being, its an animated suit of armor.

The hand is like that on Ragnarok. It's for the spinning hammer. Weird choice since they didn't include it.
My favorite part of this set is the Walt Simoson head sculpt. The one without the mask. The body and boots on this Thor belongs to Eric Masterson during the De Falco run who also participated in the Infinity Gauntlet mini -series. I have the Marvel Select Destroyer. He's a little bit taller, has more girth, he came with a sword and an alternate Odin head and has a better paint job. The marvel legends has better articulation which is to be expected, but they are almost about the same. The Select is heavier and has better plastic quality. However, I love both versions, and I will keep them both.
Did a Google because of your comment about the Destroyer and Mjolnir. According to a list on CBR, the Destroyer CAN lift and use Mjolnir since it is an empty suit of armor and not subject to the worthiness enchantment. Neat little bit of info and good to know for photography.
It can be inhabited by a person's soul, so would that affect the worthiness issue?

IMO the Marvel Select Destroyer is still the best. They nailed it. I do love this set though. I could not resist picking it up once I found it on the shelf at Target. FYI Toy Biz did make a Destroyer figure. It was part of the MODOK BAF wave. It was a chase figure; a retooled Thorbuster Iron Man.

Thor's right hand from the Destroyer pack looks similar to Ragnarok's hand!! The 80 Years Thor's righthand is similar to Thor Herald of Thunder!!

It ahould be pretty obvious why the grip hand was changed. The original and Ragnaraok version has trouble holding on to Mjolnir very tightly. The hammer is really easy to knock loose on mine.

The hand on thor looks like a reuse of the one from the ragnarok figure which was shaped to fit the spinning mjolnir.
I’m a bit disappointed in the Thor figure as mine has gummy plastic joints. The right knee is especially bad and is making it hard to stand and pose him because the joint can’t take the weight. I purchased two sets and they are both like this and it seems other reviewers have mentioned the same thing. I’ll be taking back one of them as I got both sets from Target on clearance. Given I got the set half price and the Destroyer figure is nice I’ll make due with gummy Thor.
It would have been so easy to make a calf swivel on the Destroyer

Even tho I already had the 80th Anniversary Thor..I was able to pick up this 2 Pack for $30 on the aftermarket..so I couldn't pass it up..
My thor came with a warped leg and It left such a sour taste I haven't even bothered to try and fix it yet. The destroyer is very cool though and a good pickup for anyone who doesn't have one

Idk why but the feet on the destroyer look odd to me, it kinda bugs me and hasbro should’ve painted him silver but it’s still an awesome figure
