Melee bowser's best move was get up attack at ledge. Specifically on Yoshi's Story. Thats it.
not even. Grounded up b was also a fantastic OOS move that lets bowser move across the stage
bowser...the ULTIMATE underdog story...from efficently one of the worse characters of the series to a threat you have to atleast take seriously or he might get a stock or two

Mii Swordfighter restricted to a 1111 moveset was a contender for the worst character in Smash 4
Smash 64 Luigi at least had insane combos, Kirby and Bowser had gimmicks in Melee bowser with his ledge up attack and good recovery on Kirby. Ganondorf at least had power for a game without many combos, and Jigglypuff had a good air game, same in Smash 4 and got some rest confirms, and Zelda at least had a good recovery and a true kill confirm. Littld Mac had a great ground game and does suck in the air and offstage but it has a gimmick. Ivysaur was horrible alone. Gets tired after being used too much, horrible recovery, low power and attack and range and week to fire. Many characters had fire attacks. Red Pikmin, Snake, Mario, Toon link bombs,Samus, and Zss side b
to me hes just way to much cheese(and i like cheese) based on matches i have with little mac he gets carried a lot by his super armor on his smash attacks(and the thing is is that ive had times were when I fight a little mac and they miss their forward smash I try to punish it but his smashes are so fast and his super armor covers my punishes which punishes ME for trying to punish .)(though i think to balance him he should be given decent arieals and no super armor on his smashes)
@@relaxn3918 kirby doesnt have a good recovery in melee. technically he CAN cover a good amount of distance but because he moves so slow in the air he is easily edgeguarded.

Ganondorf was still the worst in smash 4 by the end because he's the kind of character that gets worse with experience and not really receiving any buffs.

As much as I love brawl I never knew about meta Knight being good or chaingrabs or icy combo until 2 years ago so I could not play all of the best stuff and I never really finished the game to this day
In smash 4, ddd use to have like a chain jab, but they patched it soon after

While it looks a lot better now, it's also a lot slower. At least his Dash and Dash Attack were a lot more useful back then despite looking ridiculous. Function over fashion!

You know, I honestly think Kirby could be considered mid tier in Ultimate at full potential
He has good normals and can somewhat recover better than at least a quarter of the roster.

Am I the only Zelda main who hardly uses neutral b? 🤔
@@wille5080 I play Zelda as a secondary and rarely use neutral b. Neutral b is a great tool to use when playing very campy and defensive, but Zelda has other effective options to deal with pressure if you want to play a semi-aggressive Zelda. I personally think a semi-aggressive Zelda is more fun to play than a campy/defensive Zelda, but the campy/defensive playstyle is much more optimal overall which is why so many Zeldas play that way.

Make_Taunts_Online_Again I also like to play a little aggressively. It’s high risk high reward, but if anything, I spam up b. As long as you come out of teleport on the ground, the ending lag isn’t nearly as bad as previous games. I’ve just been teleporting around the slower moving characters. They dash left, I teleport right, and vice versa, over and over. 🤣 Then I angle a teleport right on them and it KOs at a reasonable percent. Huge improvement over Melee Zelda.

As a Mewtwo main, but never player smash 4 Wii U or got the dlc for the 3ds (so I main Mewtwo in ultimate), I really wish the hurtbox was smaller
@@ShinyMew76 i dedicated years to the character, but that tail single handendly made me hate playing the game. I had to drop him even through his playstyle fit me like a glove and there was no other good replacement x. X
@@ulkimion Well the way I try to handle it is approaching with caution, usually I send out a couple shadow balls and then fair or bair, I use shadow ball as bait for either them to shield or jump, if they shield I dash grab if they jump I fair or bair, and when they are at high percentages I do side B into fair, but you have to be patient and wait for the right time to strike, I find myself playing defense a lot till I can punish the bad options
I also find landing with mewtwo quite hard even with teleport mixups... dair doesn’t have the best range and gets outranged by most anti airs, and teleport can leave you vulnerable if you don’t land right away... approaching recklessly can also be deadly as projectile characters can beat your range and confusion is kinda a wacky reflector... mewtwo offstage isn’t all too bad as mewtwo does have a strong air game, but often the range is short with fair and bair often being unreliable options due to as I said fairs short range, and bair leaves the hurtbox open after the attack finishes... and I also don’t find mewtwo the best combo character, the I usually can do is util usmash, down throw fair, side B fair (My main KO confirm), uptilt uair, dtilt uptilt, and shadow ball fair/dash attack, so mostly 2 hit combos but they get the job done... the problem with my KO confirm is that it works at usually about 125% and up, otherwise they can DI out of it or buffer an air dodge out of it... but I don’t think mewtwo is particularly a projectile character either with only shadow ball... You really have to space yourself correctly to win neutral because mewtwo doesn’t have the best disadvantage state as well as being a lightweight... you have to stay in advantage

I remember when me and my friends were playing Brawl (when we were 8 years old), we thought that Ganondorf was the best character because of his warlock punch. The foolish mind of a casual player.
Brawl was a casual game, they used items in some tournaments, EVO had items in it in brawl.

I think if they just dropped the whole “you ain’t no air fighter” thing for Mac he’d be fine. Make his side B better for recovery and make his aerials more useful. He can still be primarily a grounded fighter with a not great air game but his air game shouldn’t be bad because it’s totally useless. If anything the fact that he barely has any range would make it bad on its own. Also remove the súper armor on his smashes could that shit is ridiculous lol

Gamer The Void Gaming Centre the design of the character is the entire problem with the character tho. That’s the point. You can’t be in a platform fighter with a totally useless air game. He needs some kind of presence in the air but not enough that it makes you want to be play him as an air fighter.

I think Mac should be designed to _reward_ fighting on the ground, instead of being forced to it. Maybe alter the KO Punch in some way to achieve this, I dunno
Luigi is actually very useful if you play him correctly in smash 64, his traction can help mix up his approaches and his slow fall speed and high jump height let’s him juggle his opponents. He is easy to gimp offstage, but he can use cyclone as a mix-up. I think link should be at this spot instead.
Honestly, Link is far worse. He's still bad on ground compared to Pikachu, Captain Falcon and even Mario and most importantly, he legitimately can't recover.

I personally feel like link was the worst in 64 especially in competitive play because the only legal stage was dream land which adding on to how hard it is to get back on stage and link’s god awful recovery made him basically useless.

He was decloned amazingly, but he still is similar to Captain Falcon
Falcon punch and Warlock punch? Also the stomp spike and flying kick. The biggest difference is definitely the Smash attacks and Falcon having the Knee of justice.

Where was Brawl Ivysaur? He was worse than Ganondorf in that game
Ivysaur was connected to Pokemon Trainer, and as such had Squirtle to carry it. Even if you were trying to play a standalone Ivysaur, the stamina mechanic would consistently force you to swap between all of them.

Consider that Ultimate, make less viable (just a little) some moves that can combo into other attacks and specials. And the fact if you wanna use an air move, you better not fail. Also the not entirely removed the perfect pivot that really improve the land of his moves in the ground. I would like to see a real buff that isn't just make a move better, making more viable some moves/specials in most situations.

It's fully possible to recover after KO Punching Offstage, just jump as you're able and up B at the Apex

The reason Kirby sucks in Melee is because everyone thought Sakurai was bias for making Kirby the best character in smash 64, so to prove them wrong he made him terrible in melee (at least I think this is why)!
Little Mac is an awful character, but shouldn’t be underestimated. Finding a good Little Mac in set is terrifying.

I feel like jigglypuff was underrated in ssb4. After testing with her a bit, i found that at lower percentages you can keep forward airing them to the blast zone similar to donkey kong with his back air

At school we once did not have any classes because it was the last day before Christmas, so we decided to host a Smash Ultimate tournament. At that point I had only played like one round of Ultimate. People laughed at me when I said my character choice was Yoshi and I frankly suck at the game, but I ended up winning the tournament.

@@kingzigzag2997 some people actually do. Triple R, best Kirby main in all smash games, plays him in melee despite his status as the worst. Bizarro flame is one of the best ganon in melee and can constantly take sets off fox and top tier mains. So you really are showing your ignorance if you think nobody plays low or bottom tiers in any of the smash games

Luigi, Jigglypuff, Kirby, and Little Mac mains are literally triggered that their main is the worst character in the game. You sometimes gotta accept the truth. Kirby being bad in Melee is a sad fact but true. Jigglypuff being bad in Brawl is another sad fact but you just gotta accept the truth sometimes even if its a sad fact.

Ngl, it hurts to see that little mac would be the worst in smash...at least some people actually play him good which actually gives me inspiration as a mac main :^

At this point, I think that it's so well accepted that Mac is bad that even more people are willing to play as him. If someone beats another as a low tier character, their skill level will look better than if they beat them with a high tier character.
The worst ones started to first appear in Smash Melee, top pick:
5. Dr. Mario -> One Mario is enough! That roster spot could've went to Toad instead.
4. The playable Pokémon characters -> They deserve their own Smash spin-offs, because Pokémon has a large roster of characters.
3. The playable Fire Emblem characters -> Same reason for the Pokémon characters.
2. Young Link -> He would only be better fitting in Smash 64 instead of the sequels.

Puff spent 2 whole games paying for the sins of her Bair in melee
Luigi still has a zero to death combo and it is very reliable
The problem being you have to fish for it since you're so slow ground or air
Zelda got much needed buffs in ultimate mainly a phantom rework farores wind snapping to ledge and dins fire being better by actually being useful and hitting hard while not having her in free fall once used in the air among frame data buffs etc.
Im a Little Mac main and I hate how bad his recovery is. Like Sakurai needs to buff his recovery!
The worst in ssbu is probably Ganondarf. He has a slow air speed, weak moves and is also slow on the ground
