I feel you misconceived meta knight in the Kirby section, meta knight has never really been a villain, even when "training" Kirby in his first appearance throwing invincibility lollipops and other items his way in difficult levels. I feel your methodology in replacing him with another villain is a bit flawed. Bandana dee would fill the exact role taken by meta knight, even being a boss in Revenge of the King.
My problem with replacing meta knight is that he shows a different side of the Kirby universe that Marx simply doesn’t show. Bandana dee would be a better replacement, and should replace dedede.
I only consider MK a villain in Revenge of Meta Knight, but even than: - He's portrayed incredibly sympathetically. - He's not even the final boss of the game, he wouldn't get to be the final boss of a game until Fighters 2 in 2020 where he explicitly isn't a villain.
Meta knight is the villain in the mirror realm, meaning that he litteraly should never be mistaken for a villain, and king dedede isn't a villain either, he's often saving the World with Kirby bandana Dee and meta knight and even though he is a boss in many games, he either has good intentions, or is posessed.
@@greenfroggy333 dedede Is pretty much the main villain in Kirby tho he would be pretty iconic, I think it would make more sense to replace meta knight as much as I loved "playing" him in brawl.
Honestly, you brought up an interesting idea for the Star Fox reps in the game, I wouldn’t mind having Fox, Wolf, and Krystal, with Fox and Wolf having alternate costumes that allow you to play as other members of their respective teams. In truth, I really wish Smash took advantage of both the Alternate Costumes and the Echo Fighters, and just gave us more characters that would hypothetically play like another character already in the game.
That doesn't work due to proportions though, Smash also doesn't like putting different characters as costumes and I'm inclined to agree because it just won't make sense
gotta respect you Siiroth, you took a massive risk not having Dr.Mario be replaced by Waluigi but instead by a more logical character to add. And it worked out!
Honestly I think that having multiple Links would be great series representation if they actually had references to their own games So ideally if the Links got a rework they could all stay, and I personally think that Sheik is quite irrelevant to the Zelda series She was just in Ocarina of Time and didn't even do that much at all (most of her moveset in fact is just generic ninja-looking things), the only reason she was added was because Zelda could have the gimmick of transforming into Sheik but now that they're 2 separate characters there's no need to keep Sheik especially when other character that just appeared in one game are more iconic or have more potential for a moveset that represents their game (Skull Kid, Midna etc.)
Replace Sheik with Impa from Age of Calamity. Spin-off rep with a unique shadow clone gimmick, teleportation, and fills the ninja role probably better than Sheik.
@@goroakechi6126 Good idea, Impa has been in more games than Shiek and had different designs, If she was a character from Melee then they couldve done Impa from Ocarina of time and Skyword Sword
Unpopular opinion... but I don't care for Skull Kid. Really don't think he deserves to be in Smash as much as say Impa or something, since he's only showed up in Majora's Mask, Hyrule Warriors (though that doesn't mean much), and technically Twilight Princess (and its not even really the same character its a different Skull Kid). Majora's Mask itself is the only thing that gives him any form of identity which is ironic considering its used to _hide_ his identity.
Roy is playstyle wise way more important for smash bros than most others. It’s the same story as with Captain Falcon, he is not populair at all in his games but is basically the icon of smash bros, and I believe that Roy is definitely rising to that level right now, he’s super fun to watch in tournaments and it would suck to never see them again. I would remove Lucina and make Marth more like Lucina making Marth actually usable again.
I believe that the same could be said about Marth, since he is remembered only because of Smash and a couple of games in main games, he is basically the same as the Warrior and Aleph from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest respectively, they are importabt in the sense that they are the first ones on their series, but you don't see anyone asking for them, Marth is popular because of Smash.
@@aperson5182 only FE fans hate her lol, at the time she was pretty well received and wasn't until byleth that FE fans tryied to gaslight people into believe they always hated her "damn, suddenly I hate Corrin despite never playing her game" Just look at the reactions at the time for her reveal, they were pretty fine.
I’m always confused when people say ness and Lucas are the exact same, their moves are similar but all airials tilts grabs throws are completely different
All of their moves are different or at least have some differing properties. Specials including Final Smash just look the same. The only things that are the exact same is the weight, pummel, and getup attacks, and maybe some other stats.
I think the Metroid rep should be Ravenbeak, the whole time I was fighting him all I could think was how much he felt like he came right out of smash ultimate. Emmis are cool but I don't see them being translated as smoothly, though you could argue Ravenbeak might be a bit too similar to Ridley.
Agreed Ravenbeak might not be as well known as the EMMIs, but he is certainly very popular within the Metroid fandom, has more moveset potential, is more important to the story and honestly represents a very iconic part of the Metroid series as a whole (the chozo).
I would hardly call Meta Knight a villain in any way. Same with Dedede, too. These guys aren't antagonists (usually). They just happen to constantly get punked into fighting Kirby, we play as them about as often as we fight them nowadays.
I was looking for this comment lmao. Both of them acted as antagonist one time and now everyone for some reason calls them villains even though both of them have been redeemed have been super friends with Kirby for a while along with being friendly rivals. Heck Meta Knight didn't even start as a villain.
I've thought of doing this same concept for a while now, except instead of sticking to series, it would be combined with 'cutting half of the smash roster'.
That would definitely be interesting! When I made that original video it was very tough finding 40 I'd like to cut as is so finding any argument to replace them would be a tough challenge
Maybe a good way to go about it is not to think about who to cut, but who to save. Instead of deciding who to eject from the roster, think about which 40 or so characters you can't imagine Smash without.
@@Siiroth Now would you change your mind about bayonetta’s cut now that the 3rd game is coming out soon and olimar would go instead plus she is a lot more popular then him nowadays
For ZSS, I think the better option is if you are gonna get rid of her, have her either as a swap like in Brawl or give them an alt where she keeps her regular suit but have her unmasked so we can get a bit of the character.
What if they had her as a comeback mechanic but she's triggered on samus' last stock. It'd be fitting because zero suit samus is seen on the death screen in game
Also, my pick for the replacement would be Raven Beak from Dread. They are much more important to the Metroid universe and would offer se unique parallel attacks.
@@decrabtra While cool as a concept, I don't think that makes the most sense. Outside of the fact that you'd be banning Samus from 1-stock matches, I'm not sure if people would enjoy being forced to play one character to play another
I've got to to disagree on replacing Roy. Smash's take on Roy is pretty popular, and Corrin is overwhelmingly the least liked of the lords in the entire series.
I would have loved a Pokemon Trainer style character for Young Link. Switching between Deku, Goron, and Zora forms for the down special would have been great. Deku could have bubble, spin dash and the flowers for standard, side, and up specials. Goron gets super punch, roll out, and ground pound. Zora gets boomerang fin, electric dash, and a dive like move. Final Smash is just Fierce Deity Link doing a flashy attack.
Sephiroth in smash makes sense 1.FFVII is the most popular FF game so when they added a villain, who better than sephiroth? 2.sephiroth has a habit of following cloud into almost every game cloud is in,so smash is a perfect place to make sephiroth follow cloud too. 3.HES ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNISABLE VILLAINS IN GAMING AND IS BADASS.
@@LiamScorer yeah thats why him being another FF7 rep is the only disappointing thing like I said. They could've gone for another FF protag, hell maybe another Square Enix rep even, but Sephiroth kind of makes sense in the context of selling FF7 remake
@@seriousquil7161 yeah. Well sephiroth is better because he has his dissidia moveset, while kefka has never been playable in any FF games and I cant see a moveset for him. Also people would have harrassed sakurai if he added kefka instead. +sephiroth follows cloud everywhere,so it makes sense to have him in smash. Interesting idea though!
Just chiming in here, the reason Pokemon Mystery Dungeon doesn't get represented that much in Smash is the same reason Hyrule Warriors representation is super sparse despite the original Hyrule Warriors being such a killer app for the switch and the first big break out Zelda spin off; it's technically a crossover. Mystery Dungeon started life as a Japan exclusive Dragon Quest spin off and has since become it's own thing through the Shiren series and has regularly crossed over with Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Pokemon and Etrian Odyssey. As a result it's iffy how much Nintendo and Pokemon Company actually make off of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and how much of the series they legally can refrence without needing to license stuff from Chunsoft.
I wanna know why they don't reference ANY side games, including wholely original ones. Like, not even in music! Where's Miror B's theme? Where's the Dragnor theme from Conquest?
@@BJGvideos Conquest is a actually a *Nobunaga's Ambition crossover and the Gamecube games were developed by Genius Sonority and I know there's always been some legal rigamarol with them as I think Genius actually copyrited the Orre region for themselves? It's kind of a Mario RPG, Geno situation there... But I'll need to look more into that one.
hes not even an anti hero, just a straight up hero, all he did was try to take over popstar so they wouldnt be so lazy all the time (this is actually why he does it lol) once, and he's been doing a bunch of hero stuff before and after that
@@blindsloth364 yeah honestly smash fans never know the lore of the smash reps' games only their movements and the story but I guess it would take a while to check every smash characters lore. Oh wait I've already been doing that all my life even before I knew smash bros existed.
Tbh i would enjoy playing as a mage mii like the spell ideas could be amazing you could have a all water, fire or electric mage or have them be a mix of all and that idea sounds really fun
Instead of removing a mii fighter, the mii swordfigher shouldve had a moveset based off of games where Miis use a sword of some kind, whenever it is a foil or just an average sword There are 5 games where miis use swords and literally all 5 of them are repsented via stages, music, etc, (6 if counting nintendo switch sports), talk about missed potential
I thought this was wonna be about cutting the worst performing characters "competitively". After you cut YL, Diddy and Roy over some very bad characters like Toon and Marth, I realized this was more of a gamedesign take, and rewatched the video with a different mindset. Good Content!
Skull Kid literally does not fight you once, hell, he doesn't even fight in Hyrule Warriors, he just plays the ocarina. At least Ghirahim has multiple boss fights!
10:56 Meta knight is not and has never been a villain so it would actually make more sense to replace him with an ally, also, as of now Marx isn't precisely a villain anymore
I think Corrin could be cut for the reason that while Roy is a Marth clone, he still represents the GBA era of FE and his dad being in the game that's more popular in the west while Corrin doesn't rep anything outside of FE Fates aside from being a dragon (Tiki the assist trophy already does this) and Robin himself represents the 3ds era as all 3ds games are pretty much loosely tied to each other in some way. Corrin adds pretty much nothing else especially when you realize he only comes with 1 song (2 of which are variations of the same song) He could easily be replaced with Tiki who is also synonymous with FE and could incorporate more dragon attacks along with magic. Byleth represents modern FE and Chrom and Lucina are exempted from the echoes rule
Calling Byleth representing modern FE is pretty overselling them, they are like Corrin: a promo pick who was chosen to be added before their game released
@@icecontrol1 they're the modern rep now because 3h is basically the new awakening. 3h brought even more love to the series like awakening did. Also byleth at least has more to his moveset than corrin. I will now wait for you to tell me that 3h was a trash game.
@@camharkness lol no but calling it "they represent modern FE" is dumb since you could always use that excuse to add a new character everytime despite other series not even getting that chance like Kirby or Zelda Nevermind that Byleth was DLC (DLC that was planned to be added before the game even released) so acting like they needed to be in makes no sense
I think Kirby deserves to leave. Call me crazy all you want, call me stupid, I don’t care, but I still would rather play Dedede and Meta Knight than an overrated pink ball.
@@hankpeterschmidt8626 straight impossible even if the dev want to because : -it's the original 12 (yes ness was onced been thought to be removed bu earthbound is not as popular as others and captain falcon) -most series especially nintendo won't work without at least one main character in the series -it's sakurai first creation

For the Tom Nook moveset, I don't know why but I would absolutely love if he had Tanuki powers, complemented with a "godfather" personality. Tom Nook is far from a bad person but he is the closest to what looks like an AC antagonist (he kinda owns everything if you think about it) so I think exacerbating it to make him a sort of cute version of the godfather would be wholesome. And believe me or not it would actually work quite well with the AC references. The iconic scene from the movie ressemble the New Horizon announcement, with the phone, the desk and the lighting, which would make a great victory screen, and another one could be him burying "something" to hide the proofs with the sacred AC shovel. For his moveset he could use the shovel, bell bags, and the leaf to transform (not something that is canonical but the fact that the two rival merchant in AC are the two most popular transforming animals in Japan is not a coincidence).
Here’s my moveset for him: Tom Nook Moveset *Neutral Special: Purchase Used like Villager’s Pocket, but instead of using the projectile he’ll automatically trade it for a bag of bells as ranged counter that will change damage depending on the projectile. To give it a bell effect the damage amount will go into the display quickly as individual numbers and will have the payment sound effect. XX Side Special: Bonfire Tom Nook places a leaf that turns into a Bonfire and sits there for about a dozen seconds like Villager’s tree, you can launch your opponents into it a few times to deal damage. *Down Special: Tarantula/Scorpion Tom Nook releases a tarantula or scorpion at opponents, the one that appears depends on the date set on the Switch. (Tarantula=November-April, Scorpion=May-November) They have the same effect, the only difference is aesthetics. Similar to Bowser Jr.’s Down Special, but less range, not grab able, quicker, good shield breaker, and knocks over the opponent. Villager and Isabelle can also use their nets to Pocket them. (If they already have something pocketed, they’ll release the bug) *Up Special: Rescue Service Tom Nooks rides a helicopter upwards. It can be moved sideways like Villager’s, but it doesn’t go as high and it can deal damage. Like Villager and Isabelle’s Up Special, it’s color matches the player number. Smashes: Side: Vault Pole Down: Flower Grow (R Rose + Y Tulip, plays like Duck Hunt’s) Up: ?Mailbox Slam Tilts: Side: Leaf Umbrella Spin Down: Paintbrush Double Tile Up: Stick Aerials: Neutral: Lantern Glow Forward: Uchiwa Fan (2-hit) Backward: Uchiwa Fan (super quick) Down: ?Shell Swipe Up: Shooting Star Other: Dash Attack: Pot Jab: Sparkler Grab: Timmy Chain Grab Throw: Tommy Flag Final Smash: Dream Nook’s Cranny Other Ideas: Coffee Spill/Fruit/Book/Beaker/Water Bird/Mailbox/Shell/Tail/Pinwheel/Message Bottle/Furniture Stats: Weight is 108. He deals more damage and is a lot heavier than Villager and Isabelle, but is also slower. Taunt 1: Tom Nook checks his Nook Phone. Taunt 2: Tom Nook uses the Pride emotion Taunt 3: Tom Nook uses the Joy emotion Alternative Costumes: * Nook’s Cranny * Nookington’s * Nook’s Homes (Summer) * Nook’s Homes (Winter) * New Horizons (Summer) * New Horizons (Winter) * Pajamas * King
@@jigglypuff452 I really like the ideas you have for the special moves, especially the bell bag, it's a really good fit. One thing I'd add is that his moveset should represent an overall theme of the AC games. Like Zelda in smash represent the game's magic system, I'd like to see an overall vision through his moveset. Villager is sort of centered around tool use, while Isabelle has this more "starting fights on accident" vibes and the moves they use sort of reflect that. What I mean is that what nook does should feel coherent and not just a bunch of AC references that would work well as attacks, and he also needs a strong gameplay identity to not fall in the same trap as Isabelle and Lucas where their whole identity is a derivative of Villager and Ness and do not really find an identity on their own. Villager is a zoner, but Isabelle doesn't really have an effective gameplan, on some aspects she almost feel like a joke character like Dan from Street Fighter, with moves that are derivative "wrong version" of villager's like the loyd rocket, or generally unimpressive moves like jab. I don't think it's the intent with Isabelle but it's sort of how she ends up, with the adequate placement on the tier list.
@@pikachuchujelly7628 I see what you mean but Resetti is not really a main character in the AC games in the same way Tom Nook, Isabelle and Villager are, if he was in a classic adventure game, he'd be more a hidden boss where as Nook would be the main antagonist. He's always the main barrier between you and the "main objective" of the game (I know AC isn't about objectives but he's used as a plot device to motivate you at the start of your journey). And he's role always shifts between entries with the shift of focus of each game, in wild world where your primary objective is to accumulate items to fill your house and interact with the town as big as possible he's the main seller, in New leaf where the goal shifts more toward decoration and achieving good ratings he's in charge of Nook's home that host the Happy Home Academy, then in new horizon that is more focused on developing the island he's the head of the residence service. Honestly aside from KK slider and maybe Blathers and Kapp'n, I don't see other characters that could pretend as "main characters" than the townhall trio. Even important characters such as Mabel, Redd or timmy and tommy all feel somewhat derivative of Nook. And yeah Redd and Lyle could be seen as secondary antagonists too.
I HIGHLY disagree on adding the EMMI’s in personally, I think literally any of the other hunters from Spire to Rundas would be more fitting especially with moveset possiblity. But that’s just my 2 cents
I disagree with replacing Roy. I totally agree that too many fire emblem characters pull from the same set of moves, and you can’t choose Lucina or Chrom because they’re echoes. But considering the fact that echoes are made to save development time Roy is really the only similar one that counts. And even then Roy has received some changes to differentiate himself from Marth (which is more than what some semi lines get). And picking a smash fan favorite over Corrin which is unanimously agreed by the entire smash community a bad inclusion to the roster doesn’t make much sense. Regardless tho I respect your opinion and the video is still great!
Your last pick is frankly extremely inspired. If we replacing a final fantasy rep, Yuma or Tidus is much better. First of all, it isn’t from FF7, expanding awareness to other final fantasy franchises, second, Yuna is a main protagnist for two critically acclaimed FF games and based on her in FFX, she is unique being a summoner and white mage and based of FFX2 is even more wild given the class change system. Also, discounting that you touched Xenoblade, a franchise that only has two characters in Smash yet ignoed Streetfigher,Tekken, and King of Fighters which has four characters all of which play really similar to each other.
While I really like grovile and really want PDM music to appear in smash, I fear his moveset would be a bit to similar to greninja, with the kunai and tong replaced by leafs. I would personally go for decidueye, because while I think he could share some moves with other cast members (I mainly think about the pits and falco), his moveset as a whole would feel way different and he has so many moves to draw inspiration from that it would make a lot of sens. Both lines are more or less as popular, so I think going for the best moveset makes sens.
I understand your position with Roy, but honestly, I really like how the FE are rapresented in the game. Marth's tipper, Lucina equilibrated Marth, Roy kinda unique moveset and binding blade, chrome equilibrated Roy . I understand why ppl hate fire emblems but I really like them and I would be happy if we got more unique of them
I don't get why Dr. Mario isn't an echo. He was marked as an "echo" in both Melee and Smash 4, the only two other games he was in. But with no changes to either his or Mario's movesets, and he's suddenly not an echo anymore? - In Melee, you can see echos by them having their portrait moved down slightly, placed beside their original character. This wasn't to give the whole roster a curved look, since it's only these six echos being lowered, no other character. - In Smash 4, characters were grouped by first party series first, followed by Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Lucina separated from their original series, marking them as echos (then followed by third party, then DLC).
No offense but Roy being replaced over Corrin is wack, gonna say it Semi clone, sure, but Roy remains one of the most popular FE characters _despite_ being Eastern exclusive. Meanwhile Corrin is the single Smash character who has aged the _worst,_ a controversial character from a controversial game who is frequently considered one of the worst main protagonists in their home series and most forgettable characters in Smash. This _really_ shouldn't be up for debate imo.
Ironically, I know how much of a nobody Corrin is considered to be, but has one of the most unique FE movesets. Robin shares the issue of being a 'nobody' with Corrin, to non FE players anyway, which is a lot of Smash players.
@@rubis5904 While I dislike Robin even more than Corrin, the thing is, you HAVE to have a character from awakening, it's one of the most important games in the series, at least top 2, and Lucina and Crom are very uninteresting as a moveset, so as bland as a character Robin is, he has to be in the game. I can't say the same for corrin.
Fire Emblem are very character driven. So it should be logical to put a lot more of them in the game. Yet, most people are sick of Fire Emblem representative. But I believe the main problem is that most of them are generic indistinguishable sword fighter. At least, Roy is red-haired? I wonder if, instead, they promoted more different characters and pseudo echo-fighter. For example, we could have Hector/Edelgard as Axe/Armored type, Lyndis/Dimitri as Lance/Agile style (yeah, both can be swordfighter too...), and I believe it is possible to recycle Magical Robin's gameplay into Claude's Archery and Tricks gameplay (Thunder could be a charged Failnaught, Arcfire could be a bottle of poison/explosive, Elwind could make use Wyverns, for Nosferatu it is more complicated but the Crest of Reagan allows to heal 30% of damage dealt while the Sword of Begalta (Riegan related) is a sacred weapon that retores HP too). But... Byleth was highly unpopular. How could adding 5 new characters (including 3 from 3H) could be more populuar?
I think Byleth was largely vindicated by history. Like, maybe you can argue he wasn’t the BEST possible choice, but he distinguished himself with a unique moveset that is simple but fun to use. Same with Corrin. Despite coming from a worse game than Byleth, Corrin is unique. Marth/Lucina and Roy/Chrom all fight almost the same. Cutting two of them would not change much of anything.
I see this argument a lot and the problem I think is that just because Corrin is the least popular lord doesn't mean he should be cut. Aside from the fact that he represents fates I also feel he represents manaketes/dragons which is kind of important to the series. While Roy only represents the binding blade and isn't quite unique enough to discern himself. It makes sense if you wanted to pick someone else from the binding blade to take his place but I absolutely agree with the idea of Roy over Corrin.
While I appreciate EMMI and understand the promotional material and all that, I gotta say, I'd go with Raven Beak. While EMMI's more known, I'm iffy about building a move set around a character that basically just runs into you and drills a hole in your head. Plus the amount of animation needed to get that character working would likely be off the charts. Raven Beak, on the other hand, already has a pretty well-defined move set and would be an awesome addition to the lineup.
14:11 - Speaking of, the English dub of the relevant anime special has him voiced by Dan Green. So I’m just curious if he’s get to reprise the role we’re this replacement to transpire.
If emmi got in that would be Awesome there being more villains makes sense for the metroid series as i think the villains are definitely more popular/interesting than the heros plus theres not main heros besides samus
I must say I'm shocked you chose Falco over Wolf for replacement, after all, I've seen many cutting Wolf (never liked that, as he's my favorite character, and actually feel he's not "clone-ish" enough for that argument to be done, since he only has similarities on Specials, but not normal attacks), and also really like that hero/villian dinamic you mentioned I would, however, rather no Star Fox character to be cut (I would say the best is making them more unique, but can't visualize how to, guess that just means we need more SF games to have more stuff to pull off), but for the sake of this video, guess I'd have to agree with Falco (after all I've never been a fan of him) Also TFW?! Lucario and Mewtwo are extreamly different! Why did you say they hold similarities when they only have a slightly similar Neutral-B!?
I do agree Crystal would nice to play but she shouldn't replace any of the star fox reps. As for Fire Emblem. Corrin is your choice to remove cause none of us would like to have him at all. Also, Roy is well loved by the fire emblem heroes. So cutting corrin is a better choice than Roy. Roy plays different so he would need to get some changes for him.
I think the best new Kirby rep would be Dark Matter, one of the only recurring villains in the series (plus, there’s next to no representation from any game it’s in)…
Raven beak should be the new metroid rep. He has more moveset potential and he would make a good counterpart to samus without it being as an eco fighter
I honestly feel like Barett would be a much better fit for a Sephiroth replacement, he has a gun for a hand, is a dilf, and I feel like he'd fit really well in the smash roster
It's criminal anyone would even consider Waluigi before Toad. Toad should be in as well as Daisy with her own moveset before they even think about ever adding that random man
I replace your stand-in for Dr. Mario (Waluigi) with my stand-in for Waluigi (Captain Syrup). Why? Because she's better in every way! She's a Pirate Captain, has a more fleshed out history with Wario, and her Boss Fight from Wario Land 1 (where she tells her Genie to destroy Wario) would make for a cooler Final Smash.
I disagree with marx. He is already represented by a boss. I think a character with a more interesting moveset would be magalor. He could have a lot of magic based attack, and could be a fun projectile heavy character.
i mean, in theory since we not only have movesets for multiple villains pre-made in star allies, i dont think it would be wholly unreasonable for some sort of villain tag team. what comes to mind is magolor and marx, since those are hinted at as being friends of some sort throughout, and with somewhat similar but room for differences movesets (Marx black holes are centered on his body but seem to do more damage than the ones magolor creates in SA, which can be placed anywhere on screen and seem to last slightly longer) it could work
14:47 what are you talking about? Lucas has completely different normal attacks and a unique special move! He uses PSI more in his moveset (which makes him the best World of Light character) and a cool tether recovery.
Think again as well as toad is a well known character think about it he is a weak enemy like goomba yes he has builder form but he doesn’t represent more then one game/ series While waluigi represents almost every sports game dance, and tennis he is more well known for but he still has represented more as a sports character and they’re is more then 4 sports franchises he is insanely wanted plus he is the brother of wario a well known smash character it would be perfect to replace a Mario clone with a Luigi clone but with a amazing moveset like no other it could be the best moveset in smash history
You know what have been cool for Diddy? Having Dixie in his moveset like Pyra Mythra. Dixie could be a lighter/floatier version of Diddy but had more recovery and command grabs? Diddy could be a faster and stronger hitting but not that good of a recovery. Something like this would represent the DK country 2 series on how partner mechanics worked. The partner character cannot be hurt and they share the same damage.
Nice video!! Every choice made perfect sense IF you were going to cut characters! Although, I would say that some series, like Kirby, DK, and Xenoblade, purely need additions instead of replacements. I know that finding replacements is the the exercise, but still. I'd hate to see some of them go
The mii sword fighter isn't just there because "Half the roster has a sword" (which in itself Is wrong. Majority of the cast is a brawler) but because it's one of the 3 main fighting types in smash. Sword Brawler Gunner. Not saying he's wrong in picking sword fighter to replace just that I don't think he fully understood why the sword fighter is there. And Roy. That choice imo is wrong. Roy isn't "irrelevant" like he said he was. Roy is still one of the most loved characters In the series, and fe6 is also really loved still. Corrin is flat the one majority of the fe Fandom (myself included) can't stand and hates the fact that they got into smash over any other character from any other series. And the fates games aren't that loved by the Fandom that much either. That is all.
Krystal not making it to Smash is just like all of the recommended characters (except David) in BFDI 18, except that the rejected contestants went to the Locker Of Losers.
Honestly, I would've replaced Dedede since... Well calling him the main villain is a bit of a stretch. Half the time, he's helping Kirby. But what I would replace him with would be Magolor. Both are villains who have seemed to (Mostly) redeem themselves.
dedede isnt even a villain at all, he's just an antagonist of a couple kirby games. in canon, he's actually a hero of planet popstar, as is meta knight
Dedede is more iconic than Meta Knight, and he was also the main and first antagonist/antihero in Kirby's first games (also the actual hero of Popstar), being even a partner in Crystal Shards at the end of the Dark Matter era. So cutting him over Meta Knight is dumb
Broooo if we got a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rep., stage, or even music, I'm going to actually have a mental breakdown because this game series is actually my childhood!
@@camharkness They did screw the pooch on Roy's game. The only real saving grace Roy has is that he originally appeared in Smash Bros before his home game. Hopefully, the new Fire Emblem Echoes game coming out will be Binding Blade to fix the issues in his original game. It worked for Gaiden's awful reputation.
@@highlandave8507 I don't get what you mean, fe6 is great, and majority of the fe Fandom loves it. Also the "only real saving grace Roy has" seriously? Yes as a unit in fe6 he is horrible. @@camharkness Sorry, but IMHO, FE 6 was terrible and I am not the only person who thinks that. If otherwise, I would have said nothing. Truth is that it's a definite mixed bag. The game itself was not that well received on release, and hasn't aged that well as well as the prequel game featuring Eliwood was considered much better. The ambush system was jarring, a lot of characters growth rates weren't very good to most as not as many characters were not as unique in skills or stats, Roy himself acted nothing in that game as he did in Smash Bros, which was a major turn off for a lot of people as his Melee attitude was his biggest appeal, as well as a lot of FEtubers on their worst to Fire Emblem games, Binding Blade is usually ranked mid to low, still better than Gaiden, Fates: Revelations, and the original FE game, and it's unanimously considered the weakest of the GBA titles. Maybe we're looking at different websites or TH-cam comments can somehow transcend alternate dimensions, because I've been into Fire Emblem since Sacred Stones came out, and I've never heard people say Binding Blade was their favorite FE title, and it's never paired with Blazing Sword, Path of Radiance, Genealogy of the Holy War, even Awakening tends to be held higher than Binding Blade.
What about Pauline in the place of Doctor Mario instead of Paper Mario? She has been in many Mario and Nintendo games, was the original damsel in distress character Peach was modeled after, and like Rosalina with Mario Galaxy, she is a key supporting character in Mario Odyssey and may represent that game. I know she is part of the background of New Donk City Hall and has been a sort of trophy, but many characters have gone from trophy to fighter like Isabelle and the background can be changed and her model reused for a fighter. It is already there. It would also balance the amount of male and female characters being represented from the Mario series. The only real problem I see is that Pauline is to Donkey Kong what Peach is to Bowser, so her addition would make Donkey Kong a part of the Mario Franchise instead of its own, making the line between both murky
@@JonSmith-hk1bq he pretty much is if chrom and Ken are considered echos and have different moves and different strength then each other then I consider him an echo

"Half the roster has a sword" even as a joke this genuinely false info still hurts me because so many people still believes it. Less than half of the roster has a sword. Majority is a brawler.
@@camharkness yeah idk either to be honest I can't tell if he's mocking people with his use of punctuation and emoticon faces or if he's being serious your guess is as good as mine man but I don't think there's a single gay character in smash and I've never seen anyone complain about it so idk.
My picks would be: - Mario series: Mario & Luigi (from their RPG franchise) instead of Dr. Mario. They are interchangeable with Paper Mario, I just prefer them over him. - Donkey Kong series: instead of only Diddy Kong, have Dixie Kong paired with him. Sure you could consider it cheating, but I feel like it would be better to represent them both instead of one or another. - Kirby series: Magalor instead of Meta Knight. I picked him over Marx because it would represent the newer Kirby games and Super Star is already well represented as is. - Metroid : Raven Beak instead of Zero Suit Samus. Like EMMI, he would represent the newer Metroid games and I feel he would have be a more interesting fighter. EMMI would work better as an Assist Trophy, in my opinion. - Starfox series: I completely agree with you on that one with Krystal replacing Falco, she would have a unique moveset instead of Falco, which is a semi-clone. Plus Fox could have the three other Starfox members as alts like with Hero. - Pokémon series: I'd either replace Jigglypuff or Pichu. It could be considered sacrilegious to cut a Smash 64 veteran, but that's considering how she isn't that important in her home franchise, and how Pikachu and Mewtwo already represent RBY. To replace her, I'd pick Eevee, which is also a Gen 1 Pokémon, but it is more popular than Jigglypuff, it could represent the Let's Go games and it could represent the whole Eeveelution family via attack (which would also represent Gen 2, 4 and 6 games, considering these Generations had new eeveelutions). For Pichu, you explained why it could be cut. But I would select Sceptile instead of Grovile. It would represent Gen 3, it's Gen 6 remakes and complete a Water-Grass-Fire trio with each character coincidentally representing a 3DS title (Greninja for XY, Sceptile for ORAS and Inceneroar for SM & USUM). I picked Sceptile instead of of its pre-evolved form because 1: Grovile wouldn't represent the Gen 6 remakes, since only it's evolution has the Mega (which would work as a Final Smash), 2 : it would be weird if there was two fully evolved starters and one that isn't fully evolved (kinda like it the Pokémon Trainer had Blastoise, Ivysaur and Charizard) and 3 : PMD could still be represented with an alt where Sceptile has the scarf from Mystery Dungeon. - Earthbound series: Like you said, replacing Lucas for Pokey/Porky. - Fire Emblem series: I agree with Anna replacing Roy, for the reasons you gave in the video. - Kid Icarus series: Medusa for Palutena, like you said, for as important of a character as Palutena is, Medusa is more important by virtue of being the KI main antagonist. - Animal Crossing series: Tom Nook instead of Isabelle, he's more iconic than her. - Xenoblade Chronicles series: I'm gonna go with Rex (with Pyra or/and Mythra) instead of of Pyra/Mythra. I don't feel like Xenoblade Chronicles X deserves to have a fighter representing the game, over Xenoblade Chronicles 2. - Final Fantasy series: For that one, I'd like to depart from a FFVII rep and bring in a character that would represent Final Fantasy as a whole. So Black Mage instead of Sephiroth. Overall I enjoyed your video (despite the boomer take on modern Pokémon, but whatever) and appreciate the effort you put into it.
@@Siiroth how about corrin to get the cut. Roy is a weaker choice, big pass. I mean he was completely revamped to not make him a Marth clone but they don't play the same way. Corrin got here because of fates which was hated so why bother replacing someone who's popular over someone who's hated. Despite corrin having a unique moveset, he doesn't cut it like the others and also Anna is neat choice but if were honest corrin is a no brainer choice. Roy is popular as he second to Ike on a poll on Fire Emblem Heroes, So he's not "Irrelevant" like you claimed. Corrin being cut won't be missed anyway.
Kinda makes wish we did have more spots for characters. Especially for some indie reps. Would be cool to see who you’d pick to add if you could only pick indie characters.
I think that for the Kirby series Dark Matter would be a very good addition since he represents a TRUE villain in the series and also he's the most influential villain in the series.
I think barret would be a better fit than tifa, don't get me wrong I wouldn't complain if tifa got in but with barret using his gun he would be a fun ranged character while still being one of the main characters of FF7
I would actually argue Corrin should have been cut over Roy. Because of Melee, Roy has consistently been the second most popular character in the franchise according to officially done polls in Fire Emblem Heroes, second only to Ike. Meanwhile, in the context of Smash AND Fire Emblem, Corrin is one of the most hated due to both the character being added in Smash 4 AND Fates, & Corrin specifically, being reviled by most FE fans. Even Byleth people got over because of how popular Tgree Houses was & how fun the moveset is. But despite the gameplay uniqueness, Corrin is FAR less popular than Roy.
@@camharkness the Reason for fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligents Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Intelligent Systems wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Nintendo knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.
Cutting corrin is a better option than Roy despite how he plays, he's popular unlike corrin who is widely hated along with byleth so I would say replace corrin for Anna. So cutting Roy would be controversial.
mewtwo and lucario share one move, having a charge shot, and fox and falco play completely differently, and have wildly different movement properties, despite having some similar animations, all their moves fulfill different purposes, with wolf having a completely unique moveset aside from similar specials, yet pikachu and pichu have “some moveset similarities” while all 3 star fox characters “have no difference at all”?
Hold it about Waluigi Sakurai never into Waluigi but Wapeach that going to be Sakurai interest having Princess Peach rival of Wapeach. He coming out from his sami-retirement for Smash 6.
10:34 There is no main villain in Kirby ! Dedede has only been bad since the first game and every other fight with him was because of a misunderstanding or being controlled by an external force. The most « main villainy » think in Kirby is probably dark matter,Marx,or magalor, the latter two only because of their popularity (even do I still don’t understand why Magalor is so popular)
Magalor is popular because return to dream land is popular. Same thing is kinda true for bandana dee but he has a few other appearances and is a waddle dee, the most iconic enemy.
Honestly last year me and a friend started thinking of a new character for the Zelda series: introducing the champion! They would be similar to Pokémon trainer in which down smash attacks would switch to a new one. We thought of a lot more things and play styles for each. I can only show you on cause that be to long but we decided to give them for there super a thing we’re they each go in there divine beast and fire kinda like how they did in the final battle of botw. Revaly would have quiqcer more ranged attack and a great recovery with his up smash making him fly a bit( he will fly with updraft his regular special. would be shouting a bombe arrow his side special would be a spin that can fly up if in a updraft. His a attack would be punches and arrow based and his aerial well (we did not think of that Urbosa would church up lightning with regular special She would enhace all her attacks with it, he really up special would have her jump slash and her side special would be a slash that charges Her a attacks would consist of slashes also using lightning so she would be kinda like a sword character Mipha was the hardest to decide on but we decided to give her the ability to heal with special but she would have to charge like cloud also like cloud it would charge slowly over time but their should be a thing we’re it had kinda like a cooldown her side special would have her do a swimming dash and her up special jumping and slashing the air Her a would be spear and water attacks and last but maybe least Daruk He would have a nutrias special that would charge this sheild that when activated could withe the sheild bouton could black most attacks His side special would be a huge ground pound that would deal huge damages his up would be rolling and he would be really slow in general Disclaimer I thought of a way to balance them being that is u used down special to change champions you would not have your up special so that people can’t abuse revaly Brocken recovery
Okay okay what the hell you lost me at the end. Sephiroth is a lot more recognisable than Cloud. One Winged Angel is iconic, he's one of the most iconic villains in gaming. I don't understand how Cloud is more recognisable.
Eh, I'd say they're equal. Cloud still has a lot of clout, being the face of the face of JRPGs, and people were begging/joking for over a decade for him to be added to Smash Bros.
Bandana Dee doesn’t need to be a bad guy in order to fit into Smash! If anything, nowadays he’s more like Kirby’s sidekick or best friend like Luigi is to Mario. Plus, he’s MORE than an “average enemy” since this specific Waddle Dee has more stage presence and is almost never shown as an enemy compared to every other Waddle Dee in the Kirby series. Bandana Dee is not an enemy, he’s a friend. And it would be cool to have one of Kirby’s friends in Smash compared to a villain like Dedede or a rival like Meta Knight. Plus, Marx has stage presence in... 3 games (2 if just Super Star and Star Allies)? I don’t care, I will defend a placement for Bandana Dee in Smash until I die! Bandana Dee is his own character and does things! He’s not a minor enemy like people claim he is! He deserves his spot in Smash! Plus, he has his own move set just ready and raring right from the source material!
I agree with everything said in this video except for cutting Roy, as Corrin should have never been in the game. Corrin is unaccururately represented, from a game that a lot of people straight up despise, and was clearly done as a marketing gimmick as Fates wasn't even out in the west yet. While Corrin is unique they don't deserve the damn spot. Roy is way to iconic now to be cut.
Wait, are you saying that people who genuinely like Fire Emblem Fates are at fault for Corrin being in Smash because I have nothing to do with that and again I like Fire Emblem Fates genuinely and I am sick and tired of people attacking it and me.
@@richardwilliams7263 no. They are not saying it's your fault. They're saying corrin legit was a marketing ploy to get people to want fates (which backfired and made people hate fe a lot). I truly respect other people's play styles and while I genuinely try them, there are some I won't touch, so if you think that I'm toxic for speaking my mind, I will gladly give up both of them (even though I really don't want to) if you truly think that I'm ruining both franchises.

I love when talking about the legend of Zelda series, the characters were put in their appropriate positions for their piece of the triforce.
Actually Link and Zelda should be switched around

Could it be the Triforce viewed from behind?
I feel you misconceived meta knight in the Kirby section, meta knight has never really been a villain, even when "training" Kirby in his first appearance throwing invincibility lollipops and other items his way in difficult levels. I feel your methodology in replacing him with another villain is a bit flawed. Bandana dee would fill the exact role taken by meta knight, even being a boss in Revenge of the King.
He feels more of an anti-hero, he has definitely filled antagonist roles but he's never been the pure villain type.
My problem with replacing meta knight is that he shows a different side of the Kirby universe that Marx simply doesn’t show. Bandana dee would be a better replacement, and should replace dedede.
I only consider MK a villain in Revenge of Meta Knight, but even than:
- He's portrayed incredibly sympathetically.

Honestly I think that having multiple Links would be great series representation if they actually had references to their own games
So ideally if the Links got a rework they could all stay, and I personally think that Sheik is quite irrelevant to the Zelda series
She was just in Ocarina of Time and didn't even do that much at all (most of her moveset in fact is just generic ninja-looking things), the only reason she was added was because Zelda could have the gimmick of transforming into Sheik but now that they're 2 separate characters there's no need to keep Sheik especially when other character that just appeared in one game are more iconic or have more potential for a moveset that represents their game (Skull Kid, Midna etc.)
Replace Sheik with Impa from Age of Calamity. Spin-off rep with a unique shadow clone gimmick, teleportation, and fills the ninja role probably better than Sheik.
@@goroakechi6126 that seems cool, age of calamity representation wouldn't be bad tbh
What
@@goroakechi6126 Good idea, Impa has been in more games than Shiek and had different designs, If she was a character from Melee then they couldve done Impa from Ocarina of time and Skyword Sword
I definitely agree even though I like Lucina personally
I believe that the same could be said about Marth, since he is remembered only because of Smash and a couple of games in main games, he is basically the same as the Warrior and Aleph from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest respectively, they are importabt in the sense that they are the first ones on their series, but you don't see anyone asking for them, Marth is popular because of Smash.

Raven or sylux as their the current main villains for halves of the series
Agreed. Raven Beak or Sylux would much better fit the bill IMO.
I love raven beak so much I wish Dread came out sooner so he could be in
Agreed Ravenbeak might not be as well known as the EMMIs, but he is certainly very popular within the Metroid fandom, has more moveset potential, is more important to the story and honestly represents a very iconic part of the Metroid series as a whole (the chozo).
Raven Beak can stand out by being a ranged fighter in contrast with Ridley being close ranged.
It depends. In some games, they are villains, and in other games, they are not.

Mystery Dungeon started life as a Japan exclusive Dragon Quest spin off and has since become it's own thing through the Shiren series and has regularly crossed over with Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Pokemon and Etrian Odyssey. hes not even an anti hero, just a straight up hero, all he did was try to take over popstar so they wouldnt be so lazy all the time (this is actually why he does it lol) once, and he's been doing a bunch of hero stuff before and after that
@@blindsloth364 yeah honestly smash fans never know the lore of the smash reps' games only their movements and the story but I guess it would take a while to check every smash characters lore. Oh wait I've already been doing that all my life even before I knew smash bros existed.

Tbh i would enjoy playing as a mage mii like the spell ideas could be amazing you could have a all water, fire or electric mage or have them be a mix of all and that idea sounds really fun
He could be a enhancer like hero to
the Mage Mii should have the abilities of the Mage job in Miitopia
Would be nice if he was just added there and not taking Mii Swordfighter away
Instead of removing a mii fighter, the mii swordfigher shouldve had a moveset based off of games where Miis use a sword of some kind, whenever it is a foil or just an average sword
There are 5 games where miis use swords and literally all 5 of them are repsented via stages, music, etc, (6 if counting nintendo switch sports), talk about missed potential
I'd consider putting the Miis into the three classic RPG classes: melee, ranger, and magic.
I thought this was wonna be about cutting the worst performing characters "competitively". After you cut YL, Diddy and Roy over some very bad characters like Toon and Marth, I realized this was more of a gamedesign take, and rewatched the video with a different mindset. Good Content!

Ghirahim: "IDIOTS!"
Midna: *TRIGGERED*

We don't need another swordfighter, which literally is a sword at one point as well

I would say he was a villian or some Anti Hero in his first appearance but turned good and just looks dark and edgy

@@camharkness lol no but calling it "they represent modern FE" is dumb since you could always use that excuse to add a new character everytime despite other series not even getting that chance like Kirby or Zelda

Here’s my moveset for him:
Tom Nook Moveset
*Neutral Special: Purchase
Used like Villager’s Pocket, but instead of using the projectile he’ll automatically trade it for a bag of bells as ranged counter that will change damage depending on the projectile. To give it a bell effect the damage amount will go into the display quickly as individual numbers and will have the payment sound effect.
XX Side Special: Bonfire
Tom Nook places a leaf that turns into a Bonfire and sits there for about a dozen seconds like Villager’s tree, you can launch your opponents into it a few times to deal damage.
*Down Special: Tarantula/Scorpion
Tom Nook releases a tarantula or scorpion at opponents, the one that appears depends on the date set on the Switch. (If they already have something pocketed, they’ll release the bug)
*Up Special: Rescue Service
Tom Nooks rides a helicopter upwards. It can be moved sideways like Villager’s, but it doesn’t go as high and it can deal damage. Like Villager and Isabelle’s Up Special, it’s color matches the player number.
Smashes:
Side: Vault Pole
Down: Flower Grow (R Rose + Y Tulip, plays like Duck Hunt’s)
Up: ?Mailbox Slam
Tilts:
Side: Leaf Umbrella Spin
Down: Paintbrush Double Tile
Up: Stick
Aerials:
Neutral: Lantern Glow
Forward: Uchiwa Fan (2-hit)
Backward: Uchiwa Fan (super quick)
Down: ?Shell Swipe
Up: Shooting Star
Other:
Dash Attack: Pot
Jab: Sparkler
Grab: Timmy Chain Grab
Throw: Tommy Flag
Final Smash: Dream Nook’s Cranny
Other Ideas: Coffee Spill/Fruit/Book/Beaker/Water Bird/Mailbox/Shell/Tail/Pinwheel/Message Bottle/Furniture
Stats: Weight is 108. He deals more damage and is a lot heavier than Villager and Isabelle, but is also slower.

Taunt 2: Tom Nook uses the Pride emotion
Taunt 3: Tom Nook uses the Joy emotion

* Nook’s Homes (Winter)
* New Horizons (Summer)
* New Horizons (Winter)

Isn't Crazy Redd a more overt antagonist?
I think of Resetti more of an antagonist. He's also an assist trophy.
Yeah, but who outside of the deeper Metroid community even knows of Prime Hunters? It lacks the iconicity of the main series or other Prime games.
Who?
I would like to see a video where each series with a single fighter gets another fighter added.

@@NatetheNintendofan My bad, in french the adjective comes before the name so I stupidly copied the abbreviation in french without changing it.
I understand your position with Roy, but honestly, I really like how the FE are rapresented in the game. Marth's tipper, Lucina equilibrated Marth, Roy kinda unique moveset and binding blade, chrome equilibrated Roy . I understand why ppl hate fire emblems but I really like them and I would be happy if we got more unique of them
Technically speaking, Medusa would be both a Kid Icarus rep and a Castlevania rep as she appears in both series.
No offense but Roy being replaced over Corrin is wack, gonna say it
Semi clone, sure, but Roy remains one of the most popular FE characters _despite_ being Eastern exclusive.
It makes sense if you wanted to pick someone else from the binding blade to take his place but I absolutely agree with the idea of Roy over Corrin.
skull kid's final smash would be the moon falling and crushing the stage
While I appreciate EMMI and understand the promotional material and all that, I gotta say, I'd go with Raven Beak. While EMMI's more known, I'm iffy about building a move set around a character that basically just runs into you and drills a hole in your head. Plus the amount of animation needed to get that character working would likely be off the charts.
Raven Beak, on the other hand, already has a pretty well-defined move set and would be an awesome addition to the lineup.
It would be so cool to control a character that moves like the EMMI does though.
Emmi over ravenbeak ??that dude feels like he was made for smash
I must say I'm shocked you chose Falco over Wolf for replacement, after all, I've seen many cutting Wolf (never liked that, as he's my favorite character, and actually feel he's not "clone-ish" enough for that argument to be done, since he only has similarities on Specials, but not normal attacks), and also really like that hero/villian dinamic you mentioned
I would, however, rather no Star Fox character to be cut (I would say the best is making them more unique, but can't visualize how to, guess that just means we need more SF games to have more stuff to pull off), but for the sake of this video, guess I'd have to agree with Falco (after all I've never been a fan of him)
Also TFW?!
I think the best new Kirby rep would be Dark Matter, one of the only recurring villains in the series (plus, there’s next to no representation from any game it’s in)…
Every series huh? Well I dont think you can replace the inklings with octolings. But Yeah, leave it as is.
Main heroes and main villains are higher priority for smash
It's criminal anyone would even consider Waluigi before Toad. Toad should be in as well as Daisy with her own moveset before they even think about ever adding that random man
Aint no way you kept corrin
Bad sign for a series when there's like 5 characters you could make an argument to cut 😂

Definitely would be a cool idea! Anything more unique would be ideal tbh
Bandanna dee also makes more sense as Meta knight isn't really a villain, though if it had to be a villain i would pick either Magalor or Daroch
i mean, in theory since we not only have movesets for multiple villains pre-made in star allies, i dont think it would be wholly unreasonable for some sort of villain tag team. what comes to mind is magolor and marx, since those are hinted at as being friends of some sort throughout, and with somewhat similar but room for differences movesets (Marx black holes are centered on his body but seem to do more damage than the ones magolor creates in SA, which can be placed anywhere on screen and seem to last slightly longer) it could work
@@jthunderboldt Does Daroach even really qualify as a villain at this point though? He's been pretty much an out-and-out good guy since Mass Attack.
@@parzival-bo same could be said for magalor in his appearances since return to dreamland

I think captain toad would be a better replacement for doc since toad is a more known character, and he would still be a character with his own series
Think again as well as toad is a well known character think about it he is a weak enemy like goomba yes he has builder form but he doesn’t represent more then one game/ series
While waluigi represents almost every sports game dance, and tennis he is more well known for but he still has represented more as a sports character and they’re is more then 4 sports franchises he is insanely wanted plus he is the brother of wario a well known smash character it would be perfect to replace a Mario clone with a Luigi clone but with a amazing moveset like no other it could be the best moveset in smash history

I'd hate to see some of them go
Agreed. Like we haven’t had a new Kirby character since brawl and Xenoblade has only 2 reps and Donkey Kong only has 3.
The mii sword fighter isn't just there because "Half the roster has a sword" (which in itself Is wrong. Majority of the cast is a brawler) but because it's one of the 3 main fighting types in smash.
Sword
Brawler
Gunner.
Dedede ist voiced by Sakurai himself, so I guess he will not cut himself.
dedede isnt even a villain at all, he's just an antagonist of a couple kirby games. in canon, he's actually a hero of planet popstar, as is meta knight
Dedede is more iconic than Meta Knight, and he was also the main and first antagonist/antihero in Kirby's first games (also the actual hero of Popstar), being even a partner in Crystal Shards at the end of the Dark Matter era. So cutting him over Meta Knight is dumb
Should've been Corrin instead of Roy. Also, honestly Raven Beak should be the Metroid pick, not the robots he controls. Hell Sylux could be cool.
Why would you go with E.M.M.I. and not Raven Beak?! Also, Roy needs to stay, he's the best of all the swordfighters!
Broooo if we got a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rep., stage, or even music, I'm going to actually have a mental breakdown because this game series is actually my childhood!
I honestly would have replaced Corrin instead of Roy. Sure they play different, but Corrin is nowhere near as important as Roy.

She has 0 moveset potential and is literally only a character to give Mario a goal in Donkey Kong. Paper Mario is a much better choice
Corrin is unique but he is no way near as iconic as Roy
If you could trade echos, I’d change dark samus to the actual Metroid prime, cause it would just have a more diverse move set

My picks would be:
- Mario series: Mario & Luigi (from their RPG franchise) instead of Dr.
Great ideas but why u gotta do me on pokemon like that lmaooooo
I can only imagine the mass laughter and memeing that would come from the internet if Tifa Lockheart got into smash
😏
Kinda makes wish we did have more spots for characters. Especially for some indie reps. Would be cool to see who you’d pick to add if you could only pick indie characters.
I think that for the Kirby series Dark Matter would be a very good addition since he represents a TRUE villain in the series and also he's the most influential villain in the series.
I completely agree with the paper Mario pick
Per your own rules about echos, when replacing Roy, Chrom would still have to be an echo fighter of the new character
I think barret would be a better fit than tifa, don't get me wrong I wouldn't complain if tifa got in but with barret using his gun he would be a fun ranged character while still being one of the main characters of FF7
Siiroth might say he spent a while contemplating Donkey Kong but we all know he thinking about that smooth ad segway
Exactly.
Yeah Yoshi is not part of the Mario series he's part of the Yoshi series 😂😂😂
Why not replace Roy with Black Knight so we get that Ike vs Black Knight rivalry
mewtwo and lucario share one move, having a charge shot, and fox and falco play completely differently, and have wildly different movement properties, despite having some similar animations, all their moves fulfill different purposes, with wolf having a completely unique moveset aside from similar specials, yet pikachu and pichu have “some moveset similarities” while all 3 star fox characters “have no difference at all”?
I honestly cannot believe you showed Toad for "more deserving" and Waluigi for "unique and fun to play"
Anyone is more deserving or unique than Dr. Mario...
@@aclstudios sad Doc noises :(
Hold it about Waluigi Sakurai never into Waluigi but Wapeach that going to be Sakurai interest having Princess Peach rival of Wapeach. He coming out from his sami-retirement for Smash 6.
I like replacing diddy with Dixie but I think funky Kong deserves some more attention

There is no main villain in Kirby !
True
Magalor is popular because return to dream land is popular. Same thing is kinda true for bandana dee but he has a few other appearances and is a waddle dee, the most iconic enemy.
Dude imagine Link with transformation masks and a Fierce Diety Link in smash.
Sonic being the only character: :’(
Honestly last year me and a friend started thinking of a new character for the Zelda series: introducing the champion!
His a attack would be punches and arrow based and his aerial well (we did not think of that
Urbosa would church up lightning with regular special
She would enhace all her attacks with it, he really up special would have her jump slash and her side special would be a slash that charges
Her a attacks would consist of slashes also using lightning so she would be kinda like a sword character
Mipha was the hardest to decide on but we decided to give her the ability to heal with special but she would have to charge like cloud also like cloud it would charge slowly over time but their should be a thing we’re it had kinda like a cooldown her side special would have her do a swimming dash and her up special jumping and slashing the air
Her a would be spear and water attacks and last but maybe least Daruk
He would have a nutrias special that would charge this sheild that when activated could withe the sheild bouton could black most attacks
His side special would be a huge ground pound that would deal huge damages his up would be rolling and he would be really slow in general
Disclaimer I thought of a way to balance them being that is u used down special to change champions you would not have your up special so that people can’t abuse revaly Brocken recovery
It’s the “hero gets priority over villain in tiebreaker” thing, y know?
@@Mikescool444 lame
What about Wario, Diddy kong and DK
Edit: i mean for the Mario series having 9 representatives
Plus his return to dream land to forgotten land rep.
14:05 JESUS THAT WAILORD
Not a single part of this person's comment is accusing you or anyone else who likes fates for why corrin is in. Unless you live in Japan, you wouldn't have have had fates yet when corrin was added. Chill.
@@camharkness You know, just you saying chill is essentially what I mean because even when I state my opinion about this subject, the fact that people keep telling me to chill gets on my nerves. Seriously, I am a genuine fan of things like modern Fire Emblem and even Pokémon as a whole and I really don't like how toxic both fandoms have gotten. Hence why I get angry at stuff like this, I don't want to give this up or have other people tell me that I'm toxic just for speaking my mind. I truly respect other people's play styles and while I genuinely try them, there are some I won't touch, so if you think that I'm toxic for speaking my mind, I will gladly give up both of them (even though I really don't want to) if you truly think that I'm ruining both franchises.
@@richardwilliams7263 I do not think youre ruining anything dude. I said chill because it's not healthy for you to get this worked up over nothing.
Just like what you're gonna like. I love pokemon shield and persona 1, you think I'm gonna let what others say effect me? No. People on the internet are rude. Just like what you're gonna like, but you do need to calm down because it's not healthy to get worked up like this, especially when the thing that got you worked up wasn't even saying it was anyone's fault besides nintendos.
But aren’t most Fire Emblem characters only in the roster for marketing the games they’re in?
I’m bored, so I’m gonna do what you just did.
1. I’ll replace Doctor Mario with Paratropa, my favorite enemy is probably the Paratropa and I don’t really know why, but it would be cool to have a dry bones skin.
2. I’ll replace Diddy Kong, with Kranke Kong, I like the idea of an old guy beating up Ness.
3. I’ll replace Young Link with Skull kid, I just like Skull kid.
4. Don’t know much about Metrod, so I’ll just do what Sirroth did.
5.All Right hear me out, I’m gonna replace Meta Knight with, Bio Spark riding on Grand Wheelie, my two favorite enemies in Kirby.
6.Don’t know much about Star Fox, so I’ll just replace Falco with what Sirroth did.
7. OH BOY I HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS. Now if Groveile was the grass represented for Pokémon, then it wouldn’t surprise me that twitter would hate because most users probably didn’t even play Mystery dungeon, which makes me sad because it’s a great game, anyway for my Grass Representative I would either chose Leafeon because biases, or Flapple because it just looks cool. Now if I could chose a non grass representative, then my chose would either be Kommo-o, or a bunch of Falinks. Oh and I would replace Jiggly Puff, sorry Hungry Box.
8. I don’t know much about Earth Bound, so I’ll chose what Sirroth did.
9. HA MY FAVORITE SERIS, let’s see who I decide on. Of course im choosing a Three house’s character because I haven’t played any other game then Awakening. From the Golden Deer we have Lysithea for being a fan favorite female character , from the Blue Lions we have Ingrid because flying, from the Black Eagles we have Linhart because he’s one of my favorites, from the church we have Shamir for being cool, and finally from the Ashen Wolves we have Yuri. Honorable mention from Awakening would be Daniel because he’s cool. Oh I’ll also replace Roy.
10.Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I’ll just replace Palatina with what Sirroth did.
11. I’m replacing Isabel with Red, I like the idea of Red smashing other fighters with fake paintings.
12. I’m replacing the Mii sword fighter with a Tank from Miitopia, I like kabooms.
13.I have no idea what to do with Xenol, so I’ll just replace Pyra and Mythya with the nex Xenol protag.
14. Sepheroith is a very unfortunate character right now, I also think adding Tifia would be to much fan service for Final Fantasy 7 fans, so I’m gonna add some Final Fantasy 9 fan service with Vi Vi.
Thanks for reading of you made it this far and if you hated anything about this reply with cheeseball.
I would boot Dark Pit because he is a carbon copy of Pit.
Echoes are disqualified.
I wanna see Miitopia content in smash but im pretty sure it will be finished
Emmi would be awesome already has an amiibo plus moveset potential but I feel Ravenbeak would be a better Dread representative
I'd totally buy a Raven Beak amiibo
When you call Dedede a main villain
You aren’t even half right, he has willingly been a villain 3 times
3? Dreamland 1, revenge of the king and?
@@moon4236 spring breeze
@@coleminer8847 Ah, I wasn't counting it since it's just a remake of the og Kirby but I guess you are right
its about time we get rid of doctor mario.
Grovyle’s final smash would 100% be a time portal opening before himself, Celebi and Dusknoir go ham on the opponent before the opponent gets blasted away by Dialga’s roar of time.
