In the NTSC version (the North American one specifically) the time trails for Hot Coco and Eggipus Rex are broken. The times required are not updated from the levels you originate from. This is why the times are so stupidly long as they are meant for much longer levels. Since Caddy has the PAL version he has the right times.
There must have been an error, so they ended up being the same times as for Dino Might and Road Crash

About two thirds into the stream someone asks about living in the UK, and Caddy gives a really realistic idea of it.

Wow, that’s a lot of negativity to direct towards a comment on the TH-cam, with so little context to my actual comment that I genuinely wonder if you read and understood my comment. I hope you don’t endure a lot of emotional stress with that level of negativity - it’s not good for your heart or body, and increases risks of medical conditions.
There is no such thing as a perfect place to live. Theres actually even a term for believing something is perfect in every way and cannot be improved upon. It’s called romanticization, and this applies to multiple mediums, including a country in which one lives. I don’t know what country you live in, but it is without a doubt that said place has its flaws. Maybe systemic racism or a bad education system; maybe a high suicide rate as the result of work culture; maybe just poor climate and a negative impact on the population at large as a result. But it’s there, and to not acknowledge these flaws is to put a halt to any pathway for change.
What I find most ironic, though, is that in trying to be hateful and argue against me, you sort of reiterated my point, hence why I wonder if you understood what I said. Find the kind of suck you’re willing to deal with. If that’s in the country you’re already in, go for it. If it’s elsewhere, go there. If you’re able, try to change things for the better wherever you are or wherever you choose to go - the future generations will thank you for it. No where you go will ever be perfect, so find the place that makes you happiest and enjoy your life. I plan on doing so once I am able, and I hope you do the same, Sam 🙂

It does, playing with PAL using English, it forgets to raise the volume again. The same happens with NTSC/U as well, but with 100% ending.

With the first pura time trial my theory is he was jumping too much. I’d guess moving along the ground is faster in general, so you use the akuaku to damage boost through some of the enemies so you can stay on the ground longer.
I love the fact that he uses a Phantom Virus clip for the hosting notifications. Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase is my favorite Scooby Doo movie, and I've actually beaten the game on PS1 (for a kid's game, it's REALLY hard, and I had to beat it in one save the first time I ever played it because I didn't have a PS1 memory card to save it on), so that just makes me so happy.

Ah also Caddy, this may be an interesting information for you. Hot Coco USED to be Ski Crazed.
Ski Crazed was made at the end lifespan of this game's development, just because Hot Coco was a level that didnt fit with the rest of levels.
Then, for a short amount of time, this level was meant to be unlocked via 2nd exit in Dino Might's Yellow Gem Route.
Yes, instead of 5 lives at the end of it, Dino Might Yellow Path used to have 2nd exit that unlocked Button 31.
This is exactly why the button 31 even exists in the first place and leads to Hot Coco like it was intended. BUT
There is more to this. The level's original name used to be "Hidden Treasure" instead of Hot Coco.
Until the whole idea was scrapped, and that level was officially hidden now, not being part of 100% completion.
I guess they added Eggipus Rex, due to being easy to design and its length fit with Hot Coco.
All the information comes from specific prototypes of Crash 3 that have been leaked to the public.
In the Alpha, it used to be "Ski Crazed" but in the Beta that's where its been renamed to "Hidden Treasure".
Before in the final release, they called it Hot Coco. I wonder who was the funny guy in the dev team...

I’ve rewatched this stream a bunch of times, whoever I get hit by the crash bug. The thing I noticed this time was the guy who had a shooting in their neighborhood and who had scared daughters, but had time to donate a dollar to explain why he was leave a stream.

Hey Caddy. Just looked it up. The Hot Coco Platinum time? its not just PAL. NTSC-U is 1.25.00 1.20.70, and 1.17.10. literally everywhere else, PAL and NTSC-J, it's 1.00.00, 30.08, and 19.96. really weird. I guess they thought it was way too easy when they released it in North America, so they made it harder internationally.
After looking up Ski Crazed, i hope you'll be happy to know it's actually .02 harder outside PAL. And while NSane is less strict, its only by three seconds. 33.32 PAL to 36.30 NSane
Time from those 2 extra levels was a programming hiccup.
They replicate the times from the levels you enter them from.
Hence why that was fixed in PAL version.

The dev time get the time under a minute, and if you go really crazy you can go as far as subbing 50 seconds in Under Pressure.
I personally got 0:48:68 also PAL version.
EDIT: Yeah N.sane trilogy Hot Coco WAS hellish with its control scheme AND seemingly the bombs being closer together ot just hitboxes being worse. In the PAL version, I managed to get 0:09:80, but it requires 100% precision...

Mang people bash PAL version. It's not that bad actually. Regards, someone having Platinum 105%'d PAL, NTSC/U and NTSC/J on actual hardware. I found NTSC versions easier as a PAL player, is that why everyone likes them so fricken much? Also RE: Hot Coco - NTSC/U is not over a minute for Platinum if you use the level 31 button, it activates the intended times. Also, despite having wave jumped Hot Coco plenty of times, the feeling of doing it legit is better than just cheesing it, which is pretty difficult to do, but still. Regards, Hot Coco's PAL shared world record owner.

It does. The intended times can also be seen if one somehow gets the non-existent level crystal provided no level relics are acquired. Behaviour is same in each region, but in NTSC/U is the only way to load correct level relic times.
