It was a very clean run on possibly the hardest course to platinum

@@frankhunter8703 You aren't the only one, not sure about Nitro Fueled, but there's a couple of things in my strategy that are left up to chance, like if I am going to boost off the right angle, get snagged on the wall to the tunnel after the first jump, hopefully my direction is good when boosting off the ramp, assuming I get the 2 and 3 box and hopefully my hop over the halfpipe is high enough and doesn't have me losing all momentum as I crash to the ground making the shortcut impossible lol

Explanation for the plants not attacking you in Papu Pyramid: they only do when hunched back, otherwise you can pass them safely.
Yeah it took me until Nitro Fuelled to learn that :P child me just thought they were glitchy. Once you know that trick and you know their cycles you can just drive straight through them.

I remember I made Cerys laugh once with my username "Caddy's Credit Card" on one of his twitch streams, I don't really use the platform anymore but it's a small memory I'll be cherishing for a while.
I do love hearing her and the rest of the family laugh quite a bit in the background of these streams and other videos.

I have a burning question, which has the easiest time doing a 100% run and which has the hardest time in a 100% run?
@@Gaia_BentosZX5 honestly when I played CTR on the PS1, the easiest characters were both Crash and Cortex because all of their stats were equal and if I remember correctly the toughest ones were the heavy speeders Tiny and Dingodile.

James, being the base form of the Gimpo evolution line, has yet to even reach top speeds of 50 mph. This is the main reason why the stronger, better, faster Gimpo and Caddy pokemon circle around a young James, to protect it from predators like the occasional Peppa Pig.

So im guessing Caddy ain't gonna do the time trails and the ghosts or the cups in the arcade menu which you have to beat 3 times per cup on each difficulty to get 3 star rating on them.

ePSXe isn't shit it's just old it was made in the early 2000 and last update was in the late 2000 and hasn't been updated since and with newer hardware and systems these days it's starting to show it age, especially when you have now more modern PS1 emulators like Duckstation.
As for the 480p vs 576p a bit incorrect PAL games weren't crisper as most PS1 games run at 240p to 360p the PS1 simply wasn't powerful enough for that, you would only see full 480p in menus and splash screens.

Yup very true. Maybe he meant Pal region had RGB Scart, which offered the best picture quality, but even then most consoles came with the default composite cables

Most of my childhood I played PS1 on my small black and white TV, to me it was holiday when I could hook up my PS1 in the living room to the Big color TV. :D
I've been running ePSXe for the last decade, I really like it. Having the ability to download any game I can think and then play it on my phone (with Bluetooth gamepad) for free is awesome.

No Caddy, it's not a PAL problem this time, I am emulating the NTSC version and Papu's Pyramid just F-ing sucks, I have the whole track memorized except the 4 three second boxes and that damn bridge jump, that bridge jump is a run killer for me.

For the platinums video, he only did Nitro Fueled.
He could’ve also have done it on a different console (like PS3 or Vita)
1:19:36 It is very much possible, even intended, in the original. Oxide uses it in his ghost time trial. You just need a better angle
I gotta agree with epsxe, it's pretty good. The PS2 emulator, that's more annoying (I once spent a half hour mapping keys cos the bloody thing kept overwriting other commands), but epsxe was good, only issue I had was with certain games heavy with cutscenes. So RE2, for example, I'd need to overclock to 1.5 otherwise it'd freeze at the gore warning screen.
That said, that was on my old laptop, I haven't tried it on my new one. Sadly can't either, bloody USB controller broke. (I broke the X button from overuse, the rubber pad underneath wore through)
