You might think so, but you can only cast so many spells per battle, effectively limiting the healing. Plus, you can't heal one-shot. The balance here is that spellbooks and torn scripts are relatively expensive, so you won't be buying them in the early to mid game. Even then, you have to get lucky with the selection traders bring.
@@AceDan-gc9po yep, and the priest class, but you have to get lucky enough to have one or the other. I usually see those books on traders before I can afford them, then not again for a long time.

Prediction literally gives you warnings Alter fate literally makes you able to possibly stop raids/infestations Recall is a point and click revive incase your Uber healer gets 1 shot. A little bit about crafting materials: - Arcanelium (blue block thingy that can only be crafted from Arcane Forge): has a chance to reduce the cooldown of any spell per kg of Arcanelium used in crafted item max 50% chance - Manaweave: 20% enchantment increasing for the mage clothing - Demonscale: Manaweave version for armor, dropped from Demon Challenge (Magic Circle) - Demonhide: unknown (maybe the Arcanelium version for clothing?)

Me and my Army of Legendaries (Blademaster and Sniper), Mages (Elemental dudes, Chronomages, Druid and a Healer), and a stupid amount of Super Soldiers: *WARCRIME INTENSIFIES*
I like the Ranger-Class, which bonds and boots with an animals : ) but i haven't tried out most classes. The mod is incredibly done, but also pretty big.
I love this mod, never play without it. It’s especially awesome when, now with Biotech, my pawns children can actually be born with either Magically Gifted or Physically Adept, or even the classes themselves! It’s especially adorable when my Bards ability to give Inspiration will give her Magically Gifted child Inspiration to become a different class each time, it’s like she’s telling them stories of all the various magical people she’s met, leaving the kid with dreams of one day becoming a Fire Mage or a Chronomancer, but unable to decide which one is more cool?
Yeah my favorite is the lich and death knight. I have a race mod that adds beast men so I recruit the larger ones (gore bulls?) and I make them into death knights and as long as they are hitting something they will never die. The lich at full level with good gear can turn every dead raider into a meat shield to throw at those damn mechs lol
Once when I was playing with this mod a commander raided my caravan and with one spell without me getting a chanve to get my 4 pawns in range to shoot him he somehow downed all 4 of them simultaneously making me loose that whole caravan
You forgot with the priest and chronomancer that part where you can resurrect dead pawns. Also the staff of power and staff of defense are kind of bad in terms of weapons, they're super expensive and take forever to craft but don't do that much damage. The power staff can do a ton of blinds but its not as good as just killing enemies with something like the lightning/fire/ice staffs. The mage spells like flash freeze are kind of busted because they can instantly give AOE extreme hypothermia if you want to capture pawns or animals, that is useful along with accelerate time on the chronomancer to kill those enemies that are incredibly difficult to damage despite having short lifespans. I've killed a lot of summit crabs with accelerate time
no, the best is CHAOS MAGE My bro Maxed chaos mage can roll for that wayferer skill that reduces cost and gives + XP reduce cooldown increase mana regen max mana, it gets VERY OP with some skills, if you get the paladin stun you can perma stun anyone, if you get firebolt you can cast 1 fire bolt with 2 secs cooldown, most skills will be less than 25 mana to cast, just yesterday i had firebolt costing 5 mana with some magical equipment, and cooldown were like 2,6 seconds, and this is not one of the good spells... you can get super bonkers with them
My favorite so far was druid and technomancer. Androids from the androids mod can actually be healed by the technomancers technobit, this makes it much easier keeping other androids alive, including bladedancers and snipers which androids can really excel at(especially snipers, trigger happy + fighting module is op as it is but sniper on top makes the android instantly shoot with no aiming and still have net extra accuracy. Sniper just shoota it through the roof, combine with the cloak and you got death incarnate with just one really, really good pawn).
Summoner sniper bloodmage and psionic are some of the most op in the mod imo if you use them right. And he's not kidding about summoner being able to solo a raid. I have done it so many times. Plus the lil guys doing all the hauling and cleaning saves HOURS of time my pawns can use for more important crap.
Nice vid as always! I'd only like to add that you can indeed make every single one of your pawns into a mage/fighter class thanks to the power of modding! Not sure if you saw the Empire mod, but a cool thing you can do is make yourself a mining workforce to keep you stocked on high amounts of magicyte!
Cool Video, also now it is 2025 and stuff changed. So here some tips: Snipers are still awesome. True they can only Learn cantrips but other then other classes they can crank them up to 15. This includes but is not limited to: PASSIVE gear repair for the whole colonie, Dirt devil that cleans ver fast, Minions that get shit on by the Author themselves but are quite usefull as carryers, RAIN! (one of the most usefull spells in the entire modpack, espcly with now Anomalie), Blink (quick mid range teleport) (but that one should be on every mage), Smokebomb, and many more. . BARDS are now a thing! They are awesome for day to day live as they give out happy moods, trade price enhancement AND INSPIRATIONS! . CAVE! Technomancers weapon doesn´t work with CE! Same with the super Soldier! . PRIEST ARE AUTOMATIC PACEFISTS! . Psyonics are FAST! VERY FAST! (and get a bonus to magic sensitivety after learning it) Also they best perform in combat WITHOUT weapon. . You can also by now create the magical and physicle adaptness to give your pawns power with some early Science and mats.
god! i tough i would never be able to do magic androids cuz the trait is really rare, i looked everywhere for a mod or something until i reached a reddit saying that they can gain the trait from a craftable gem... live long magic androids
Great video, need to correct you on the lich. The book ??? Gives a random class, it is not neccissary to attain lichdom. Instead you make or find the lich form scroll and have your necromancer learn it. Then you necromancer only needs to cast the lich form spell to become a lich and also gains the death bolt spell.
Also fun tip about necromancers and liches in general. Though base mod rules makes it so that starting out your necromancer can only sustain 4 zombies at one time, a fully capped out necromancer can hold control of 5 zombies. A lich with no levels can also hold 5 zombies but a maxed out lich can in fact hold 7 zombies under his control without worry of losing them overtime. All this info is without extra gear that increases mana or mana regen. Enjoy
Yeah, I did a necromancer run, took me ages to find a necromancy book to teach a pawn to be necromancer. But after that pumping them out for the rest of my pawns was easy peasy. Then I had to figure out how many zombies each necromancer could control at once so I could full scale an entire army. 5 liches and 35 zombies later I had my game chugging a whopping 40 pawn colony with every zombie kitted out in full locust armor for the zombies and cataphract armor for the liches complete with enchantments to boost their already ridiculous combat prowess
Fox's wizard class? Easy, it's a kitsune! Shapeshifter and great with people. Oof, the sponsored music felt like it was louder than your voice. For a future episode, have you considered Science Never Stops? It just got a big update that adds a bunch of new stuff.

"Extremely long list of classes" ..... i... di... ok I am undead How am I supposed to keep up there is like 40 of them. "Why not just go necromancer?" Considering I am a skeleton that would technically make me a lich. "Become a lich." Well. I. This is the first time in like.. Years that a mod shut me up pretty fast. Well played.
Why didn't you mention Shadow and Shaman class? (They are in the base mod). Shadow especially is very powerful because it's the only class than can use Magic AND Might abilities. Priests cannot heal diseases. The Druids 'Cure Disease' spell does that.
Lightning mages are incredibly strong, so far the lightning bolt one shot a fully flak armored raider. (Edit) I just learnt that any enemy struck by lightning bolt and survives, has their brain exploded seconds later. Or it might have been a weapon or chance thing, idk.
Easy. One female and one male to get started, lock them in a cage and wait for the magic to happen. Just process the result. Add more females to increase the size of the operation.
How does one enable autocasting? I see plenty of patch notes mentioning them as well as other people saying that they are great, but I can't seem to find out how to actually enable autocasting
Well I've found out how myself, so I'll just share it here. You need to right click on the spell itself, except that it seems that the pawn needs to be drafted at the time, and that the speed should be at 1x
Question: is there an autocast option? I know not many people want to have their own colonists break down their walls trying to hit a rat with a meteor, but it’d be cool.
So.... now I can have a evil android who eats humans and use magic to kill them. Great, at this point the is more like the Ginebra sugestion. Praise the youtube algorithm good.
Wanderer and Wayfarer can learn the opposing classes' cantrips at the right level of a skill. This makes them also valuable.

They can heal almost any wound and disease. Can dodge almost any melee attack and take on up to 20+ tribals solo
Yeah they are super op
They also get an absurd amount of armour penetration on their unarmed attacks.
Give all the mages blink so they zip zoom when working and gain levels faster. Also hi
Yes. And hi
I like to give them spell mending so I don't have to keep making new clothes. I'll have to give the blink idea a try for pawns with spare spell slots.
A little bit about crafting materials:
- Arcanelium (blue block thingy that can only be crafted from Arcane Forge): has a chance to reduce the cooldown of any spell per kg of Arcanelium used in crafted item max 50% chance

Powerclaw Monk, almost unkillable and the powerclaw adds a bit of an umpf to their otherwise rather weak attacks

There's an OP spell called "Eat without table" It forces people to eat without a table.
