Mr. Knowles knows the legacy of this song. Not a better person to play it now.
Most amazing, soulful guitarist I've ever seen live. Keep an eye on him, 'cause sooner or later, the rest of the world is gonna figure out what a genius this guy is with the blues...
I saw him with Band of Friends here in Portland on Dec 12th. Such an amazing talent. Such a good show. RIP Ted McKenna!
WE just saw him last night here in the Detroit area with the Celebration of Friends group. This guy was amazing!!! Outstanding show!
I agree... just like they finally recognized and respect Gary Clark Jr. ✊🏼☮️
Robert B Hordos I must keep my eyes open here in Pennsylvania and New Jersey area.. He’s top notch...
It took me until last Thursday evening to find him - and I bought a ticket to see him the following day! It was a great show, but confounding to me that there were only around 250 people in the audience.
Great stuff, Rory has an heir.
Have only just discovered him!! Oh my god, what a find, he gets right to your core! Can't get enough, I'm hooked!!
Yup. Me too. Saw him 3 times live within the past few weeks, it was like seeing one of the greats before they were discovered. This guy is the best guitarist I've ever seen live, and I've seen all the greats - BB King, Santana, you name it. His version of Mr Fantasy makes Clapton look like an amateur. The only reason he's not a superstar is because this genre (hard rock / blues ) is out of fashion at the moment. Just wait, his time will come....
Most blues players only wish they could play like Davy!
Nice stuff. He even looks like Rory . Rory never played this (or most other songs) the same way twice. I think Davy might have that too. My new favorite living bluesman.
Best band I've ever seen Davy play with. It does make a lot of difference and you can tell by how inspired Davy gets. Congratulations for the great performance to everyone involved! You guys rock!
The keyboardist, my lord that guy has so much soul. You're absolutely right about the quality of this band behind Davy, they are incredible!
Yeahhh !!! keep the Blues alive !!!
I drove 5 hrs to see him in concert. Been listening for years now since he was with back door slam. The best since stevie ray vaughn. Needs to hit rhe big time. Love davey.
Really a great thank you Natasha for sharing such great artists and videos with us here on TH-cam. For listeners like me this is like being in the place and listening to them from the first row.
&... the guitar shed a tear
One of the best blues intros ever
Just Incredible
God!!! I underestimated this guy I want to play like him!!!

Bill Hader on keys everyone. 😆
The baddest guitar player since SRV
Absolutely has SRV sound for sure
Check out Philip Sayce!
I discovered Mr. Knowles via binge watching “Kingfish” Ingram. Knowles is more refined by a good stretch, but Ingram is pretty “bad” as well...and I think he’s only 19 or 20 years old. I hope to see a LOT more of both of them!
@@Pb-ij4ip check out Joanne Shaw Taylor if you haven't already done so.
John Davis, because of your recommendation I have checked her out...and I’m not disappointed in the least! Her solos and riffs are excellent, but that rhythm! Her attention to rhythm (and skill) is astounding! Thanks for the introduction!
👍👍👍
🙂👍
davy ray vaughn right here
Rory Knowles . . . !! ; ))
Have you seen him live? He's definitely on the same level as Vaughn - or any of the greats. Seriously. If you get the chance, don't miss it while he's still playing small clubs, because it's mind-blowing to see him play up close.
yes i have. right up there with kenny wayne. also saw him with chris layton. stevies ex drummer
a bar in my town schedules davy regularly
Nick Branston yessss! 😊
davy.. please put the PRS back in the case and grab the black tele.. the PRS is not a blues machine, and is rather soul-less.. that black tele,, on the other hand, just drips with some sweet soul tones..
Ha what
Rory Gallagher owns this song
Davy is one of the few people I have ever seen cover Rory and he does him well. I saw him live and you could hear the Rory Gallagher's influence throughout his music. And luckily (for me) I got to tell him so. He thanked me.
Not even close to Rory! Rory could play a banana and make it have feeling. This guy is young and good though; lets give time to develop.
he is a bad boy indeed. I love it. very tasty riffs with lots of feelings. if this was an iphone, thats not bad. a pic of the bass/drummer would have been nice. The PA system really has the vocals muffled. Is he playing a twin reverb? Only a brief glimps. and effects?
Rory would have been proud..

That band... Right
And you switched over to PRS because WHY?!?!?!
He's playing the Tele now
where can I find the tab?
In a BBC interview he listed a few who inspired him.Didn’t mention Rory.WTF????
He mentions Rory all the time. He constantly says how Rory is his biggest influence
Guess he can go steal more licks down at Tin Pan Alley
Can you even play them? He’s great! Almost all licks are similar to something else! Little jealous?
It's all about timing & tone, YEAH!
