I used to love Marcus' music! In 2018-2019, I feel he was absolutely incredible. Then he got with this Dan Auerbach and the song writing tanked in my opinion. Songs like Welcome 'round here, Plant your corn early, and Virginia were outstanding! Full of complexities and change-ups and horns and the whole package produced some incredible music. Seems like outside influences and marriage have neutered poor Markus. This band is no where close to the greatness it once was! The Drummer Jack ryan is a beast. Otherwise Youngblood can keep this new stuff. Bring back the old band and songwriting NOW before it's too late
