As a tank player, damn near every game is a "tank diff" regardless of how you play. It's honestly the most frustrating thing about the role imo. The worst is when it comes from your Mercy / Lucio or Mercy / Lifeweaver backline
As a fellow tank main I to have been blamed for things that were out of my control. One was had team flaming me don't get me wrong I was playing really badly but at the end of the game they said report me and the enemy team were standing up for me you know it's bad when the enemy team is on your side

@@Vinney337 That's really interesting you mention the lack of communication, because that's something even I noticed being a new player who never played the original game. I'm always surprised how little people communicate all the way through higher ranks. That being said, I'm glad I don't have to shoot through two shields every game so I definitely agree the game has had a mixed bag of changes through the years.
Hell even coming back after 4 years has been wild, I can't imagine coming back from before even Orisa released or before the 5 man rez of Mercy got deleted.
As a support main that's picking up and really liking Sigma, this guy was cookin'. Sure, he wasn't playing PERFECT, but considering they're shakin' off SEVEN YEARS worth of rust with how much has changed and still doin' this well, that Junkrat was on some pretty good stuff if he thought this Sigma was a problem.
I went 39-1 while doing 50% of the teams damage with the entire enemy team swapping hard counters on me. We lost and I got the "Tank Diff" with my endorsement dropping after the game (reported for throwing) I just can't with this game...
I was the soldier. I’m like 90% sure this game happened before I unlocked comms. As you can probably tell I am a big noob. I’m in plat now so I think I’m starting to figure things out, but ow is so chaotic I definitely get lost sometimes and don’t know what to do.
Watch a lot of unranked to gm/top 500 from the better players. It can help a lot in establishing what you should be thinking about and how to adapt to different situations.
soldier has sprint so getting to places is mostly what you should do, take advantage of being able to take a good flank and then rotating to a new one, when alone is when you heal pad, trust supps
try turning on the setting that plays a sound for ally/enemy elims-- helps me know when we have an advantage. ow is definitely really overstimulating sometimes lol
The "tank diff" from people who have barely even touched the role is so real. The amount of times i've heard that, only to check their profile and see i've got more hours in a single tank hero than they have in the entire game astounds me.
I actually appreciate you saying that about junk traps. I feel like in game if you get caught in one or two junk traps, especially as tank because you're on the frontline and are thus much more likely to encounter those corner traps that kinda clip into the environment for natural cover, the team just starts tippy typin away about how you're trash and not paying any attention.
The sigma here did really well! I could easily see them being plat or even diamond with play like this, especially if they listen to the feedback One thing I wanna mention (since Emongg mentioned all the important things) is that you could be a little more aware of Junkrat's trap. As a junkrat player it can be an *extremely* easy kill, even on a tank, if I'm sitting in the right spot when someone gets trapped, so just making sure that you see the little teeth sticking out of the ground is a great way to lower Junkrat's value a ton
That's actually crazy. I paid attention to the kill notifications at a random point where they got like 4 or 5 elims in a row, and they're all Sigma-Mercy-Ana icons lol. It was a literal 3 v 5, the dps were nonexistent.
I dropped 50 on reinhardt with like 4 or 5 deaths, best game ever. Literally the next game, I got "tank diff" and a playstation message asking how many brain cells I have. The duality of tank
Because stats arent everything, going 50-4 could still mean youre playing bad. and going 19-9 could mean you played great. stat mentality is the issue with overwatch, no one actually knows how to play, just buzzzwords
6:28 Funny that this happened to me. I was playing on Havana and I figured out that I have a strange issue with lag where it only happens at the start of a round, but usually ends before the game actually starts. Not this game. I had 1 frame/second for 30 seconds at the start of the game (0 damage the whole time) and my lucio started flaming me and saying they hated me. I appologized, they just said "No." I was losing it. The last round, I got like 5 DVA Bombs in the span of like, 4 minutes (each with a Double Kill), without dying and holding the point at the first spawn for that long. They were flaming me during that. We ended up losing. Not to say I didn't deserve SOME anger towards me, but it was ridiculous. (Wow, I ended up on a rant, didn't I? My bad.)
Humorously, a lot of the strength of the opposing tank came from getting charged up so often, which I would wager mostly came from the Junk/Phar splash damage. Yes, Sig charged it a lot too, its expected from his primary fire, but at least they interrupted a ton of Doom's blocks to compensate.
I want to agree, but having seen how many times DPS go off on people, it was most likely happening because they took longer to win the first and second points, and because the opposing team's push up the street in round 1 has a lot of momentum that some players hate so much.
Dude that one part where he ulted the Kiri and got nanoed and got the Junkrat, the only reason he lost that fight was because his team died and wasn’t with him or made their own bad decisions or positions. This is why I focus on my gameplay in reference to others. How could I position myself better. What could I have done.
If the Sigma player see's this dont listen to people who did not que your role or just outright be insulting. Focus on your game brother from one tank main to another. (Also I had a game where we gor rolled and I had the most elims/dmg and the Solider player who constantly ran in a straight line and went 2/10 calls me a bad a tank 🥹)
My least favourite thing about calling diffs in general is that many people will call it based off of stats. The obvious problem with this is that 9 times out of 10, the winning team will have better stats, and they don't necessarily reflect the individuals performance.
Even when my team gets stomped and clearly someone did bad but tried I wont say anything people have bad games seeing tank, dps, sup diff is always annoying.
So, from seeing this Sig play I realized that 1. I also play like him but right now I am trying to take up space as a tank but can't survive much because my teammates are all bunched up at the point 2. Sig is really good against almost all of the tanks, dps and supports as well. I mean I have found that many times I would go against supports as Sig and kill them off and probably not die (Yes probably. Many times I will die instantly). The only characters that can do something against him are, probably sombra, pharah (the way she is right now) and Junker Queen (Yeah I can't play against a good junker queen for some reason) and Winston too now
Recently watched a video from Flats where we spectate a dmg hero and they accuse the tank is the problem yet the tank is the GOAT. Now seeing where the another dps blaming the tank but from what we see, it’s more the dps is diff and tank is the GOAT

Love watching these videos. Emongg's wrap-around tip on point one of Eichenwalde I'm going to start using to outflank the enemy team and it will probably win me a game someday.
This Sigma was great! He was the cornerstone of the team and lead them to success! I pray sewer rat / pigeon rat didn't dishearten this guy too much because the game needs more tank players like this one.
it's funny that either a dps or support would say it's a "Tank diff" despite the fact like what was said, that they don't play Tank and "somehow know". Yet Getting into position as a Tank is harder(varying) compared to either a support or some dps roles getting into position to help create pressure on the other team and in turn alieviate pressure on your side. sig played pretty decently, the Junkrat getting picked off it happens ik, but they could've been in a better position to spam the choke on the off angle from defense to be a nuiscence. generally i play rein on eichenwalde, cause it makes me curious with the match ups.
