it's pretty clearly why a lot of players who are higher on sup/dps but a lot lower on tank - they don't know how to play tank, they don't have tank brain, they're not used to taking all the damage, having to make the kind of plays tank need to make. it's just completely different to being on a flank as dps or sitting in the back as sup.
Tank is simply --- [health sustain traded to contest space] So basically any time you're not spending your sustain abilities and health pool to contest important space, you're not tanking. Easy as. If people figured this single phrase and how to play according to it, they'd develop tank brain.
I hope they change the dps passive slightly. Like making it so it only activates when you do damage within a certain range or you have to land x amount of shots for it to activate.
@ShadowOfEntropy yeah something in that direction. You need to be rewarded for skill, not just tickling them from the other side of the map. The devs seem to be being more active with the community, and they are making meaningful changes. Hopefully, they'll use our ideas or come up with another creative solution. 🤟🏼
@jvlink2956 but from a non selfish point of view (team based game), it's useful to your whole team and far too easy to activate. Are you saying they should have each hero have different conditions for it to activate? Might not be a bad idea at all. it sounds really complex to implement, though.
@@BrazenBull91 they should make a handful of passives, same with tank. A team with a venture doesnt benefit from the passive as much as a tracer one, same as a sigma not benefiting as much from the passive as a rein.
I have faith but they definitely gotta train with Ramattra. I understand the early days of using Nemesis form when you felt in danger or something. It's best to use it when the enemies are low to guarantee a kill or at least easy pickings for your mateys
For any who don't know, Ramm does get I believe about a 20% speed boost in nemesis form. So it is okay to use it during downtime to rotate or leave spawn faster.
@thuydungie even a broken clock is right twice a day. There's no sugar coating it, you can't simply be wasting some of the most valuable resources in the game when nothing is happening. Emongg was nice and incredibly patient about it as usual (which is what people like about him) but it was literally painful to watch. This person doesn't need people he doesn't even know defending him on the internet, he needs some serious help in resource management, which is not my job and people literally get paid to do that. I just made a comment and moved the heck on with my day and you should too. I'm sure this person has bigger worries in their life.
This is me tbh. Gm support. Almost gm dps. Plat tank. I haven't tried a ton of games. Just cba. Its just not fun dealing with all the cpunterpicking while your dps and support trash talk you. The amount of people i offered to teach or coach dps/sup was not small.
I play ball in masters, yesterday 4 games in a row I tagged their dps/sup with a couple shots at the start of a round, or landed a slam or got the first pick and their dps went all the way back to spawn to go sombra. I won three of the games because they were ass on sombra, but it's so annoying - I kinda just have to laugh it off at this point if I want to play my hero. I don't want to play mauga, I don't want to play hog, I don't want to play sigma. it's all super boring to me D:
15:35 As a Hanzo main it feels like you have no value on the character. You naturally aim for headshots but it leaves them with enough health to get away which happens often especially at long range because with good positioning the enemy can hide before you can follow up. Now that they buffed the speed of his Ult it actually feels more like a Nerf because often one of the only ways to ensure it gets full value is to combo it with another Ult or skill. In rare occasions it can get value by just being something to worry about but you don’t have to worry about it long because of how fast it moves by. Storm arrow is no different than it always was, I don’t see any plausible change if they try to buff it. Sonic arrow is also the same as it always was. And it’s hard to see any good changes with that without making it flat out a different move or just a mini Widow Ult (more so than it already is). And lunge hardly serves to avoid dmg anymore and is basically just a weaker blink. The main reason we wanted the headshot back is because no other change seems to be useful. Even then, when Hanzo had his headshot his use was only really there if you could land it. Because Pharah is meta now it wouldn’t make the biggest change in lower ranks as hitting flying characters is no easy feat especially Pharah.
yeahh but i can't blame the guy after so many attempts to rush the zarya resulted in him dying, even when she *was* low. i'm not saying it was a good move, but i kinda get it
maybe if he ad nemesis, but only with primary fire it's not so easy to put down alone that zarya if lifew is healing her and no one is shooting her. It happened more then 1 time, as emongg said
Help, when I play tank i hate when i get reinhards in the enemy team, to the point I get triggered and I know I'm doing worse for it. Some maps allow me to counter him with winston, but many do not, and when they have the entire team behind him it makes me want to rage quit the game
Just a thought to improve these videos live, maybe have the ranks preset into whatever streaming platform you use and put it at the top in between the teams and progress bars. Could help with the "what rank is this" in chat.
Honestly if this tank pays a bit more attention to low targets and characters around them (they missed a sombra that EMP’d their team like 10 seconds later) They’ll be a formidable tank 👍🏾
I truly believe tank got the DPS passive it would fix tank. You wouldn’t mind being a little squishy if you could actually kill anything. And you’d probably die a little less.
@@faxmine yeah, well, there’s no reason you should be able to stand in front of a tank and literally never die because you have a mercy pocket. Just like a tank shouldn’t be able to stand out in the open forever and never die.
This is just a classic case of tank players wanting everything. Literally every tank can kill someone with a mercy pocket. The slowest is probably Winston. Being hyperbolic isn't going to do anything but make you look stupid. The goal of the passive is to incentivize teamwork. Giving it to tanks so they can exist outside of teamwork is the opposite of what should happen.
Like the others said, it's all about what your comfy with. Purists will tell you that not doing board/mouse is terrible but if you're not used to it, it can be a steep learning curve. Don't listen to purists on either side, whichever is your comfort spot play there :)
i have only played on console my entire life and played ow on ps4 up until 2021 when i finally saved up enough to get a PC. the learning curve has been huge. i was a diamond player on ps4, and i play in bronze/silver lobbies now (granted, i did take a 3 year hiatus from playing due to school/work/life) because keyboard/mouse controls are so hard to get used to after using a controller for so long. i cant tell you how many times i have fat fingered an ult or randomly used whatever cooldown is bound to 'e' when i meant to press w and it's caused me to die or lose a fight, and relearning a sensitivity for projectiles, like ana sleep sigma rock, etc is tough. i imagine the opposite is true to some extent as well, but i doubt there are many gamers who have only played on PC bc consoles are usually cheaper, so if u can afford a PC u can also afford a console ykwim? so im not really sure!
Why do they look so confused like this is their first time playing tank oh nvm its console so its practically silver equivalent. All makes much more sense now -- You can't just sit afk on kart on low ground and expect not to lose. You're tank, it's your job to deny as much enemy space as possible. Sitting like a clump of butter at the center of a frying pan doesn't discourage the enemy team to not fry you by taking literally every single angle on you/your team for free. When you're in a spot where you don't feel like you can fight the enemy unless they literally int into your face, then you're in a bad spot. Get yo ass off that payload, walk it up those stairs, deny that high ground. And if you ever need to contest payload, guess what. Yo ass is affected by gravity. I know, crazy concept. You can literally just walk off the high ground and you're down to fight on the payload. Magic. Tanking truly is crazy, impossible to see what you could be doing better right? Well, just start by actually doing something in the first place instead of being afk for half the match.
