For anyone who notices the teams didn't switch in the video, we did do one with the teams switch but it was not included in the video. So you're only seeing 2 out of the 3 games we ran.
From a college player's perspective, you'd be surprised how different the game is when you're playing in an esports setting as opposed to ranked at times. Imo, really teaches you how to get a lot better at the game. I had teammates that were diamond and masters players on my team but I (Silver back when I joined) was able to keep up because playing with them helped me learn to see from their perspective. Most people play a lot better when they have a full team to communicate with also. Helps them understand what's going on a lot better when they can talk it out
There's a sort of saying that I've heard repeated in both OW2 and League of Legends; that you improve a lot faster and better when you're against higher ranked people. It definitely does help having higher ranked friends or teammates communicating with you, and suggesting ways to improve or showing you why X is the right/wrong answer to Y. For instance in my first few games of OW2 (I just started about 2 or 3 months ago, and it's my first FPS game ever lol), I didn't know pretty much anything about OW or the characters and was mostly just overwhelmed, but I know because I played with higher ranked friends I was able to quickly learn to try to pay attention to key things, and then to pay attention to things that were off screen from time to time (I'm a support/tank main so this one was important). One of my early examples of this was me playing Kiriko for one of the first times, and the enemy team having an Illari. My friend told me to Suzu when the Illari ulted, and I did.... It just happened to be... not when she launched the projectile, but right as she said the line and started to rise up. However after she told me what she meant with it, I was able to nail it the 2nd Illari ult around and save my friend and I from a sunburn death.
For me it made me not enjoy gaming I was in it for r6 and everyone was just dogging me and I was just so hard on myself now when I open a game I'm like is it just better not to play because I will drag people down
This girl definitely got carried to their rank lmao holy shit they suck. Comms are just cluttered and most of the callouts were just unhelpful at all 😂

Hi there! I want to explain, I talked with everyone on the team between matches and beforehand, and no one felt pressured by me! I consistently asked what they wanted me to run, where to go, etc and made that clear from the get go - we even had a discussion on stream that probably got cut from the video - about just that. I asked what he wanted, he said ashe, it was not a good ashe day. I also had a moment in between games where it was explained that due to a medical issue, I was having a very hard time using my mouse. Any point where aim was important, yeah I lagged behind. And i apologized multiple times for it. You don't always know what goes on, and everyone in the lobby understood what was going on since I was talking about it off screen. Even the guy said he had fun, that's what should matter; it costs nothing to just be nice and - to quote Coach Koby - realize everyone has bad games.

It was really cool to be in organized play for a bit
THATS WHAT GIRL DO IN THIS GAME ... they are shit playing support can heal , can aim .. but they have no fuckiung clue of whats going in the game their positioning is always ...
Comms does seem cluttered. It does happen, I have adhd myself so I’m no stranger to stream of consciousness call-outs but it’s also good to learn how to do it without taking focus from your team. Personally I like to group call-outs into two categories, Notices and Actions. Basically ‘important information the team should know’ and ‘actions that the team should take’ Examples of notices are: ‘reaper flanking, he has ult’, ‘they have nano blade’, ‘echo switched to widow’. Examples of Actions are: ‘we have four ults, let’s use nano blade next fight, nothing else’, ‘let’s speed boost straight onto point and hold there’, ‘I’ll come with you soldier, let’s flank left side’ ,‘Stack on Sym’, ‘Rein needs care’, ‘tracer’s slept, 3 2 1’, But generally if you’re going for that win, less is more with call-outs bc mentally filtering the important information out of long sentences does take focus away from things in front of you. Of course if you’re just playing with buddies trying to have a good time then it doesn’t matter haha.
@@Mr_Lenz yea understandable, overwatch is very fast paced which makes short n sweet callouts all the better. I made my initial comment on the overall state of comms on the team, I noticed it most from one of the ladies making the calls, I do think you could have performed a lot better with less voice clutter from the team. I think the two main call-outs for tank are ‘I need help/care’ and any positioning changes you’ll be making like ‘dropping off high ground’, ‘taking a second here to let my shield recharge’, ‘I’m gonna push high ground’. Ow2 being single tank means you’re solely responsible for making and holding space, so it’s important to let your team know what space you plan to take or let go of so they can plan their own repositions. I main support so while competent supports are able to somewhat read the fight and position according to our tank, a heads up before an aggressive play or a fast retreat helps a lot and we can invest resources to help our tank.

The one tip I’d have for Ramattra is to learn when to purposely end Nemesis form early. Yes, you want to get the max amount of value out of it but you also want it when you need it.
I agree! To add, always ask "what am I doing here?" If it's not pressuring someone or using the buffs end it. Not only for the faster cool down but also the poke and shield are great for in between
I'm a master tank and I'm sure my sigma game is on the same level as this silver tank. I mean, there's really a big difference between him actually being able to play consistently at that level like he showed us. I guess that must be his real problem, because with his awareness alone (and also his excellent technique) he would never achieve silver. keep it up :) And by the way. I would have lost with this team too xD “Stack 3 on the pilot to be faster” - instead of constantly picking and pushing. They also use ults after the fight was lost... diamands should know better.
His Orissa looked super silver. His Sig was good but he couldn’t really make much happen just had hood shield control and aim. I would’ve guessed gold.
This guy looks really good on Sigma! Only thing I would say is to use the shield more often because Sigma's shield has such a short cooldown to move its position, and sometimes I noticed he wasn't using his shield, like in the grav for instance at 17:46 he probably should have used his shield first to protect his team which could have potentially saved someone. Overall not bad at all, I'm sure he'll climb a lot higher with that kind of gameplay!
I glad everyone is also thinking what I was thinking. The girls are constantly telling him to get back when he obviously is then when everyone gets killed off an he’s alone then dies, she goes “that’s what I was saying”. I hate backseat players who tend to think they’re sooo good but then don’t even know what’s going on. Along with the jumble of “call outs”. Personally it’s not that hard to be nice to your teammates, the more positivity the more you can work together.
@@EastyBugTVyeah but you do need to understand that overcomming exists. Especially when it’s not important call outs/not relevant to the game. Flooding the comms with stuff that doesn’t matter is something that will not help you get better. It’s been like nearly a year since your comment so I hope you’ve learnt! Also, this comment might be helpful to some others🖤
the biggest thing with elo hell is finding a way to get around the matchmaking and MMR system. Once you learn how bullshit it is, you can rank up. also his teammates were not helping tank by playing counters.... on D no reaper for winston, and no moira for genji.... players have the power to help but are often times too dumb
Honestly, I can't even blame a lot of the times he struggled, like with Orisa where no one was clearing the high ground. His dpses were letting him down and if anything, the only thing anyone could realistically do there is switch. Could've gone better if his team had been clearing appropriately but they mostly didn't.
Did you just say a silver tank can hold their own against basically masters players? 😂 The guy who rocked a Winston shield, inted and fed zarya charge as ram and was lost on the horse can hold his own against masters players, ok bud
I know I'm late to comment, but I have chronic illness and my joints are fucked up :') it was clarified before, during, and after stream, and I even ran solo in the lobby beforehand to try warming up and see if I could even run games. I know you may use certain excuses that are made up, but not everyone does ♡
I recently hit diamond 2 on support and I'm already tired of it. There is someone smurfing or ximming every second match with a Mercy pocket + I've never encountered so many hackers in a game like I have in 3-4 weeks in high diamond. I'm about to throw myself back in gold if its continue like this 😄
He's definitely very unsure and afraid of what he's doing which is understandable and he doesn't seem to understand the momentum of diamond games compared to silver but even in these diamond lobbies he's definitely playing like a high gold or low plat, he just needs to be more comfortable and get used to faster gameplay and he'll be diamond in no time.
It also doesn't help that eastybug was giving terrible call-outs the first game. He'd be in a good spot, she'd say to fall back, nvm, you're good. I'd be confused as well and at a certain point just stop listening to them
Jay3 is also in ELO hell, but its like an ELO hell inception, where he was once good enough but now coasts on his MMR history and an insane amount of hours played
dude prob deserves high gold. Tends to use cooldowns inappropriately and quite often. Positioning was actually a lot better than most silver tanks. I'd be overwhelmed with those cluttered comms too though. I bet the guy could climb to high plat just by managing cooldowns better
what he doesn't show is Owen6 that was the true throw lol. Most of us had this as our first time being watched by thousands of people which made everyone nervous. Along with easty who had shoulder issues that day.
I see what Jay did here. He said the tank was silver and the team mates were diamond, but for the looks of it I am pretty sure he meant the Tank is diamond and they gave him silver players to test how good of a tank he is.
nah get him on a team with people who actually know how to be on a team. these people were awful. lenz did really well all things considered and he deserves way better.
Yeah, ranking in colleges was a nightmare . I play for Caldwell University in New Jersey ,and the division set up was gold to masters. We were undefeated in the regular season, but somehow got bodied in play offs, we ended up getting 3rd place in the ECAC. We lost against a team that was made up of GMs while our top player was diamond 2 . I was tank that peaked at plat 2
I can see how he's missing a lot of important plays which can hold him back and sometimes solo ulting a genji is not worth it, but he's got that overall defensive style which is pretty important
wait i'm confused we didn't see him play on the other team in the video, both games he was with lagomorph, eastybug, amusedx, and mercenary and not with the other 4(owen, jowoshy, yer, and snacks)
I did OW in college and was on the varsity team as a low gold player when the rest of my team was master/GM with one top 500 player. It wasn't always fin, and a few games I got unbelievably throttled. But as long as you have a good team that you can work with you can make up for it.
As a new ow player stuck in gold/silver I can confirm it is elo hell I watch lots of guides and other things but sometimes it just doesn’t matter, it comes down to if you can swap and counter the enemy tank if you try and play 1 tank only it feels like you have to be a Smurf to climb and play with minimal mistakes and this is all solo q fyi and teammates barley have mics idk anyone else have a different exp? I feel like if I 3 or even 2 stacked I would definitely climb but then is it really my rank ? Idk what’s y’all thought?
Pertaining to sigma: His shifts need a lot of work, though his other abilities only need a few minor tweaks...namely not insta-rocking bubble every time monkey leaps in, bc he's always gonna bubble. But yeah, overall, a good tank, and definitely can play well beyond silver. I'm curious how much time has actually gone into ranked, though. Another thing I noticed, that I didn't see anyone mention, is that his aim is often low, particularly noticeable on ramatra. You can pretty reliably hit headshots on ram if you just set up your cursor at head height, and then track from there
I remember back in OW I was part of the OW team for my Uni and had a current placement of bronze due to my account being used by someone else for a season then not being able to escape bronze, had to make a "Smurf" account which was placed high to play comp with the team
he was worried about the monkey too much imo tbf he literally turned to the monkey every time he jumped, gave so much free space to the enemies every time

I'm a master tank and I'm sure my sigma game is on the same level as this silver tank. I mean, there's really a big difference between him actually being able to play consistently at that level like he showed us. I guess that must be his real problem, because with his awareness alone (and also his excellent technique) he would never achieve silver.
keep it up :)
And by the way. I would have lost with this team too xD
“Stack 3 on the pilot to be faster” - instead of constantly picking and pushing. They also use ults after the fight was lost... diamands should know better.
eastybug belongs in silver
honestly maybe lower
She was on stream. She had a medical issue and was just having a bad day
@@Team98 bruh you're buying that? oh my shoulder hurts I'm gonna be bad at video games now
If this guy is silver, than I belong in bronze
Ima pull out that hurting shoulder excuse next time I’m throwing my games
no way, dude does not belong in silver.
His Orissa looked super silver. His Sig was good but he couldn’t really make much happen just had hood shield control and aim. I would’ve guessed gold.
His aim was good but he want to use his cooldown more often instead of waiting a perfect shot
He's diamond dps, sp thats the aim and awareness
best way to climb out of silver is with roadhog as a tank..
@@Nexusquo His orisa is obviously not polished, however he obviously doesn't belong in silver looking at his sigma
Was it the obnoxious cocky girl that threw the game?
No throwing was done aside from Owen /lh 😊
you're ass lmao all you do is complain and yet you preform terribly @@EastyBugTV
@@EastyBugTVyou definitely threw.
@@EastyBugTV you really need to drop the ego after getting shown up by silver player lol
@@EastyBugTV Women in gaming xd
“Im not playing 100% my shoulder hurts” whatt the helllllll😂
When your dominant shoulder you use for aim/shooting is unable to move without excruciating pain, you also would mention it :')
@@EastyBugTV damn sorry your aim was hurt on mei lol
@@skellyjohn6917 how u die 16 times in yo rank das nasty work straight feeder😂 buddy had no help
He never switched teams so he never got to switch off the throwing mei
Preach brotha!
I thought I was the only one who noticed lol
he played so well but it feels like he played so nervous, but what else do u really expect, i'd be panicking so much
the biggest thing with elo hell is finding a way to get around the matchmaking and MMR system. Once you learn how bullshit it is, you can rank up. also his teammates were not helping tank by playing counters.... on D no reaper for winston, and no moira for genji.... players have the power to help but are often times too dumb
'my shoulder is sore im not playing well' breh
Honestly, I can't even blame a lot of the times he struggled, like with Orisa where no one was clearing the high ground. His dpses were letting him down and if anything, the only thing anyone could realistically do there is switch. Could've gone better if his team had been clearing appropriately but they mostly didn't.
I don’t think there was a second where she wasn’t talking or giving a call out and they were ALL bad 💀
Mercenary is a sick name for a Mercy player.
But seriously, dude deserves higher lobbies for sure. He could easily keep up in high Diamond lobbies.
thats pushing it tbh
Not rly I would say Plat he was already getting overwhelmed by the Diamonds
Mercynary
Did you just say a silver tank can hold their own against basically masters players? 😂 The guy who rocked a Winston shield, inted and fed zarya charge as ram and was lost on the horse can hold his own against masters players, ok bud
@@ZykoYFF dude Diamonds are NOT Masters that's for damn sure
Mercy seemed to backseat game the entire time and she didnt look like she pocketed him once even when bastion was doing anything

This is an all time excuse for playing like shit 😂
I know I'm late to comment, but I have chronic illness and my joints are fucked up :') it was clarified before, during, and after stream, and I even ran solo in the lobby beforehand to try warming up and see if I could even run games.
I know you may use certain excuses that are made up, but not everyone does ♡
As a Plat tank and Diamond Open. He plays better than me 😂
15:13 "i talk a lot" yeah we are very aware unfortunately
I recently hit diamond 2 on support and I'm already tired of it. There is someone smurfing or ximming every second match with a Mercy pocket + I've never encountered so many hackers in a game like I have in 3-4 weeks in high diamond. I'm about to throw myself back in gold if its continue like this 😄
U play on console, I can guarantee you haven’t seen a hacker in you’re console life
@@CameronMoir-q5rximming is cheating, so.. hacking.
@@CameronMoir-q5r I can guarantee you there is something called crossplay what makes Playstation, XBOX and PC play together.
Nah I’m on diamond console for several seasons and I don’t think I see ximmers
There are only ximmers in high GM, and still I dont encounter that many
SHE NEVER SHUTS UP
Who the hell was the yapaholic on MrLenz's team? She needed to shut up for just a second frfr
I'd be confused as well and at a certain point just stop listening to them
him getting a diamond mei who averages like 13 deaths per 10
Jay3 is also in ELO hell, but its like an ELO hell inception, where he was once good enough but now coasts on his MMR history and an insane amount of hours played
The main thing that people need to learn in this game is target prioritization, everything else is secondary.
dude prob deserves high gold. Tends to use cooldowns inappropriately and quite often. Positioning was actually a lot better than most silver tanks. I'd be overwhelmed with those cluttered comms too though. I bet the guy could climb to high plat just by managing cooldowns better
eastybug throwing deadass 😭
what he doesn't show is Owen6 that was the true throw lol. Most of us had this as our first time being watched by thousands of people which made everyone nervous. Along with easty who had shoulder issues that day.
bro main torb you would be top tier with him if your projectile aim carries over@@Mr_Lenz

Made classic silver mistakes tho. Had he ignored monkey and blocked his support and damaged back line money would have died to 1v4 with no support
I see what Jay did here. He said the tank was silver and the team mates were diamond, but for the looks of it I am pretty sure he meant the Tank is diamond and they gave him silver players to test how good of a tank he is.
Eastybug being COMPLETELY USELESS fr
nah get him on a team with people who actually know how to be on a team. these people were awful. lenz did really well all things considered and he deserves way better.
girl was so annoying and ended up 12-16 😭😭
20 seconds in, and I see him use sigma rock against monkey barrier 3 times. I've seen enough lol
I was tank that peaked at plat 2
eastybug 💀
I can see how he's missing a lot of important plays which can hold him back and sometimes solo ulting a genji is not worth it, but he's got that overall defensive style which is pretty important
THATS MY COLLEGE TEAMMATE!!!!!
AYYYYY TBENZ
That first team was “terrible” heal wize, and his DPS was just ass
He is Silver!?!? WTF he deserves more... Fush this game
wait i'm confused we didn't see him play on the other team in the video, both games he was with lagomorph, eastybug, amusedx, and mercenary and not with the other 4(owen, jowoshy, yer, and snacks)
I played with them but Owen6 got his name that map lol
Ahh second round didnt go too well in terms of back and forth, so they must have cut it! (Havent watched yet)
At 15:05 it said they got stomped that game. So a close-ish loss with team 1, stomp with team 2 and then a win with team 1 for a 1-2 W/L
The game where they switched teams was not included in the video.
I think you balance being nice and mean well
I did OW in college and was on the varsity team as a low gold player when the rest of my team was master/GM with one top 500 player. It wasn't always fin, and a few games I got unbelievably throttled. But as long as you have a good team that you can work with you can make up for it.
He has the right idea, but is stuck with the silver mindset, I feel it, I’m stuck in plat hell like everyone else lmao.
Idk what’s y’all thought?
i wouldn't be able to focus with that girl pointlessly yapping the whole game
Now i really wanna watch him play in silver and see what's going on there..
that ashe was trying so hard to hard comm but ended up just having empty comms and playing like crap
11:42 The fact he got no support on that ult push is CRAZY lol
Pertaining to sigma: His shifts need a lot of work, though his other abilities only need a few minor tweaks...namely not insta-rocking bubble every time monkey leaps in, bc he's always gonna bubble. But yeah, overall, a good tank, and definitely can play well beyond silver. I'm curious how much time has actually gone into ranked, though.
Another thing I noticed, that I didn't see anyone mention, is that his aim is often low, particularly noticeable on ramatra. You can pretty reliably hit headshots on ram if you just set up your cursor at head height, and then track from there
He needs to get comfortable with taking space. Not being afraid to die. Let your team know when you're going in. Assert dominance
Sig is a mid range poke tank, that play style works better with tanks like zarya, orisa etc.
he never...switched teams?
13:10 pull up the doomfist death reactions 😂
supports were not even following him up in team fights sometimes along with the enemy teams supports providing more burst healing to aid him
I remember back in OW I was part of the OW team for my Uni and had a current placement of bronze due to my account being used by someone else for a season then not being able to escape bronze, had to make a "Smurf" account which was placed high to play comp with the team
he was worried about the monkey too much imo tbf he literally turned to the monkey every time he jumped, gave so much free space to the enemies every time
he just got a bad team tbh, i wish he wasnt on her team! the comms were awful
Where does he find all these diamond teams that r communicating like they're playing wc
im a silver player who loves tank and this guy is not a silver player, this just shows how broken the matchmaking is that this guy is stuck
This video shows it's a map/game mode diff, they didnt swap teams like the usual videos do.
13:30 nahhh that 15 deaths Mei is crazy
