As a person who missed the previous games, that's awesome to watch! Though to think that Eternal is the only game without an official Deathmatch is a bit saddening.
2016 MP did not deserve the hate it got, yeah it had some CoD/Halo elements to it (which yeah it would’ve been better without), but people who actually played and UNDERSTOOD it, would know it did not play like either, it had enough unique things going for it that made it a DOOM Multiplayer.
@@muricaneagle666 2016's MP was in many ways a Halo game but that's fine. They shouldn't try and make you play like the Doomslayer in deathmatch. You should play like we did in 2016 MP but with quake's map weapon pickups like we had in Doom 3.
@@TheStrayHALOMAN It absolutely was not a Halo game and the reason for it is simple: They play very different and have mechanics that are much more different. In Halo you got regenerating shields and with most basic weapons you only get the kill after breaking said shields, in DOOM all shots count because armor and health are one in the same, your sum total “Health” you just get those values back from different pickups. 2016 MP guns mechanically do not function the same way, you can quick swap with other weapons or even quick swap weapons with itself (You can Quad Shot with Burst Rifle if you switch between base fire and the alt, you can’t do that with BR in Halo). The argument that 2016 MP and Halo MP are the same is about the same as Titanfall being the same as CoD, like no, they mechanically function differently and play differently. Even Halo 4, where it took many things from CoD did not play like CoD and thus wasn’t a CoD game.
@ I disagree I've gotten to echelon 6 on xbox and 2 on PC. I've played alot of Doom 2016 multiplayer and there is Halo DNA in the gameplay more so a mix Halo CE with Halo 4 loadouts than anything else. You can also play without shields in Halo as well. The combat very much plays like a Halo game and I liked 2016 that way. I only wish weapons and equipment were also on the map like the powerups. And the burst rifle is just Halo 4's light rifle works the exact same way and even has the same shots to kill.
@@TheStrayHALOMAN Doesn’t matter how much you played it matters how you understand the games, if it did matter how much either of us played, I’d be right because I got Max Rank twice on 2016. Also stay on topic we’re not talking about the side mode SWAT in Halo which even then that doesn’t make for the same experience as 2016 MP and rather makes for a experience similar to Counter Strike albeit no accuracy penalties for moving unlike that game. There’s not a single Halo game in which constantly quick swapping two weapons back and forth is the most optimal way to play, no one in Halo is quickswapping two shotguns, or a rocket launcher and grenade launcher, or two precision weapons. Again the BR in DOOM when you KNOW how to use it, can be used to quad shot people if you switch between the alt fire and the base, you do not ever do that with any BRs in Halo.
