@@flaxe9307 People learn at different rates, don’t think there’s a “x” hours to get to this level, you could probably learn in much less. Aerial is definitely better in most situations vs grounded, grounded is much more dangerous and you’re more likely to die with it, but damn is it satisfying to dash in and out of all the attacks going for you.

@@muricaneagle666 When you have a fast reaction time everything seems to slow down.

It's to skip the wait time between shots for certain weapons. Like for the rifle in it's sniper mode, if you shoot, there's a cooldown before you can shoot another sniper round again. Melee immediately makes the cooldown go away so you can fire the rifle in it's sniper mode at a much quicker rate for a ton of damage in seconds. It's pretty much just weapon swapping, since the game counts fists as their own weapon, and when you melee, you're swapping from your gun, to your fists, back to your gun.

@@supertech104 Definitely, mostly because in the air, less shit is being thrown your way. The arena I went with the grounded bit worked because I had lots of cover and a second floor to work with so I do not eat all the damage from everyone.

​@muricaneagle666 regardless of environment. Everyone ive ever watched that was god tier at this game had some form of aerial dance to their rhythm. The best master air combat because no demon expects or can stop a man who technically cant fly.

Doom 2016 is a great game, but Doom eternal is better in almost every category. The only things that 2016 does better are the boss fights and art direction.

@@muricaneagle666 It has quick switching. You can also remove the time it takes to fire a weapon when it's first equipped via first bringing up your melee. All in all, quick switching in it is quite good. You can rocket jump and double jump. Then you also have a jetpack most people use, but there's no dashing and movement speed is relatively slow.

@@muricaneagle666 Quick swapping is a key part of pixel gun 3D’s gameplay (Or at least it was, I haven’t played the game in years.) It has some movement mechanics, but no dashes.

@@raguel4416 Yeah Grounded Combat is much harder than Aerial, simply cause there’s generally less attacks to worry about across the board (melee and ground attacks from demons). And in the air you’re moving up and down and with air control, left and right as well, more directions to dodge things, whereas on the ground it’s left and right. Still there’s a new thrill for me from staying on the ground and dashing while shooting, especially after years of spamming jump and moving left and right in the air.
