Thanks for the video did this exact set up only difference is I used velcro to attach it. Leaves a nice little secret cubby for emergency cash or spare house keys.

Great video! Didn’t see you video until today, but I put mine in a few months ago. Your switch placement is exactly where I put mine. One, it’s a super easy spot and two it makes it look almost factory. Only downside is it’s a little hard to see while driving.

Hey there, thanks for the video! I was wondering if the single bolt has held up for you after off roading? I had used a nutsert tool to attach mine to a near by area like yours but the nutserts have started to come loose after some heavy off roading.

The black 3M command strips work well to mount the panel and easily removed if needed.
That's the easiest method I've seen. I wonder if you could place a Blue Sea Thermal breaker in between the battery and Cali fuse box. That would be ideal.
That switch panels looks exactly like the one I bought from Amazon made by Auxbeam--not cheap or dubious quality at all. Thanks for the video.

Hey man hope you’re doing well. Quick question where on the wiring harness do you cut off to hook it up to the switch panel? Since most harness come with a relay. Also the wiring harness I have come with a black, white and blue wire. Assuming I don’t need to use the blue wire at all. Thank you in advance.

So i first added my add a fused to that same fuse but then i switch it to the inside because i felt like it was safer to keep it inside on the Outlet power, the red cable is long enough to get there brother !
Its the Auxbeam 8 gang switch. I have it in my truck. The actual switch part though is much nicer looking than this.

Add the fuze to the ignition fuze. Thanks for this video! I was looking around for a video on the switch panel and couldn't find one until now. I ordered this same one from CaliRaisedLED but never installed it because it wasn't waterproof. Hope it treats you well though!
Thanks for watching - I haven't had any issues with it yet, and have been through some gnarly rainstorms and blizzards, fingers crossed it holds up.
Which one is the ignitition fuse?
@@Mandothemagnificent There are several ignition fuses. You’ll have to get voltage tester and see which fuses draw power with the vehicle on but don’t draw power when the vehicle is off. Once you find that then it should be an ignition fuse.
Do I need a circuit breaker between the fuse block and battery terminal?

Really nice video. Thank you. So, dumb question, but you didn’t have to do any drilling to get through the firewall? You just went through the plug? And did you put that plug back? What the plug for?
No Drilling required, I just cut a small slit into the rubber plug and re-installed it. I'm not 100% Sure what the plugs are for, they are generally left open for wiring, or in some instances Manual / Automatic trucks utilize the same body and will have additional openings.
Hey so when you put in the add a fuse you didn’t show yourself actually plugging it in, the little ports for all the fuses are so deep the add a fuse supplied can’t even plug into the port. How did yours plug all the way down??
How do you wire a light bar that already comes with a on/off switch wires to the relay the has the +/- that hooks straight to the battery? I hooked it up like you did but the light bar switched on and stays on until I turn the ign switch on. Any help?

My light bar has amber lights and white lights but only has 3 wires how do I wire it so i can control each one I also have a switch panel already installed
That switch panel looks like an Auxbeam to me. Also you should probably crimp some fork connectors to the wires from the lights/to the fuse block.
Same here, the actual control unit/fuse box is a bit different though. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes from the same manufacturer in Asia.
Also a good spot to stash baggies of stuff. Lol

Hey bro, how’s the brightness of the switch panel, do you have the ability to dim it ?
It's not dimmable, however it's not too intrusive, and where I have it mounted I barely notice it. During the day you can't really see the backlight much, and at night it's fairly consistent with the rest of the lights on my dash.
Is.t really true that u can change all 3-8 spot to a maximum of 20A per spot?
I noticed the "fuse panel" the lights connect to under the hood doesn't seem weather proof, any concerns?
I have a similar issue with my 4runner. I am not able to close the fusebox but don't know what fuse to use inside the cabin
This might seem silly, but i tapped the add a fuse into fuel pump, and the back light stays on even when key isn’t in ignition, tried efi fuse, and and basically anywhere i put it, same result. Only way i can get back light off is unplugging it. And recommendations boys?
You mentioned that to didn't connect it directly to the battery because it would be lit up all the time but isn't there a power button on there so you can turn it off?
You want the fuse relay box connected to the battery and fuse circuit breaker cable connected to a fuse slot that isn’t under constant power.
The on off switch will turn all of the accessories off at the same time. And turn the ones that you had on when you shut it off back on.

Did you have any luck with the add-a-fuse where you put it? I’m still trying to find a place to hook it up to so the backlight isn’t always on.
Not yet, it still stays backlight all the time when I turn the truck on. I’ll play with some ideas over the next few weeks.
@@GearheadJT I'm not sure if this will help with your truck (I have a 2013), but I ended up splicing extra wire to that red power wire and ran it inside the cab to the fuse box in there. There was a fuse port labeled "ACC" that I pulled the 7.5 amp fuse out and put the add-a-fuse in that spot. Now, the panel backlight only comes on when I turn the key. Hopefully this helps.
I tapped the add-a-fuse to my headlights. I’m running the auxbeam panel (same thing).
@@GearheadJT inside the cab, there's fuses there you can use. There's 1 or 2 that turn off and on with the ignition, and if you want it only with the interior lights, you can tap into the tail light fuse
Cigarette lighter port fuse is another good spot
Did you connect any caliraised lights to the switch? If so how did you connect them? And did you keep the replay?
Toss the relay, mount the positive and negative wires from the lights straight to the switch assembly

I have a 2020 Ram Rebel. I have a Code4LED which looks like the exact same unit. I tried the Add a fuse in three different locations with the 10, 7.5 and 5 Amp fuse. Needed a micro that I ordered from OReilly Auto parts. None of the 10 AMP fuses would light up the unit when I started the car. I'll look inside the cab as suggested. Works fine when wired directly to the battery
Any other ideas. So bummed :(
If your switch panel is on when you wire the controller box directly to power, this most likely means that the circuit breaker or online fuse between your box to the positive terminal of your battery is either fried or tripped. Some where, you have a bad fuse. This is my only suspicion your switch panel works when wired directly to the battery.

Great question, and I have been researching the same as Im planning on doing on board air as well. The Switch panel has a maximum draw of 30Amps, to make sure the compressor doesn't trip the fuse what I'm going to do is Connect the Power Cable for the Air Compressor directly to the battery with the provided Relay and Fuse, and connect the switch wire to the Panel, this should work perfectly fine. Hope that helps!
Where did you get the positive and negative cables
They came with the kit.
So this allows you not to run any of the relays on the lights correct just plug the lights directly in?

Correct. Just like the rough country mlc-6 or other higher end multi light controllers. It's super convenient and cleans up a lot of wires
Did you ever find a better add a fuse placement other then the fuel pump fuse?
I haven’t, however haven’t had any issues with the current placement!

It doesn't unfortunately.
Were you able to use a compressor on this switch panel?
You can use a compressor with this switch controller IF your compressor draws the amperage within the amp rating of the fuse on the controller box. The highest amp rating on the fuse on this box is 30 amps, so if your compressor operates within 30 amps, it will work. If your compressor draws a higher amperage, you can change out the fuse on the controller box to a higher amp as long as it doesn’t exceed 60 amps (the circuit breaker that comes with the box is 60 amps).
