Like you said it’s fairly easy install, the only challenge part for me is the red line connection with the fuse box under the steering wheel, for some reason it didn’t get power at first, couldn’t find the reason, then unplugged the fuse and flipped the other direction it worked. Weird, thought either direction would work.

Some people use their welders in remote areas. These are "mobile welders" usually mounted to a truck, usually powered by diesel / petrol generators. However, using an inverter and some huge batteries, it is possible to wire a smaller welder (usually stick / flux core) into a dual battery system (less "dual" since they usually use a powerbank made from multiple batteries). Welding on fences / cabins / remote infrastructure that doesn't have power is much easier from a truck modified into a mobile welding station that running idk how many km-s of cord / cable to the site, especially since it can easily be damaged by rocks / wildlife or traffic. Welders draw a lot of amps, so you don't want a live wire touching a puddle or something.
Hey Bro, I just started watching this video, and I just had to shout out! I like your attitude, honesty and straight forward way of presenting useful info. Hey You Tubers... take note, this is how it should be done..You rock dude!
One downside I found was you can't use the high beam with your high and low beam toggle has to be done manual pushing of buttons on and off which gets annoying on highway

This is such a great video! Thank you. How does this wire into your Xprite trailing bar? Were you able to maintain the functionality of the amber flashing lights?
You don't wire it to a chase light because of how it's setup. Like, you COULD but you still have to install the chase light switch cuz it has 3 positions so really you're gonna have to press two switches just to activate it. Would be pointless
I see this video is 2 years old. I am curious if you still believe the quality and functionality of this switch is good. I am leaning toward this switch pod.
Oh yeah and I've still recommended it to people. Works great. I'm actually considering another one for other accessories I plan to add to the dual battery system
What do you think of the Voswitch system? I am running the voswitch jk100 on my Jeep and it was plug and play. I would recommend installing a fuse or a circuit breaker from the battery to the auxbeam system or you risk burning your Jeep. It’s similar to the previous electrical issue you had before.

thanks for the sharing! but have you considered to mount it on top of the stock fuse box (the plastic cover) instead of the side? If yes, do you think of any cons of doing that? coz i’m just bought the auxbeam but don’t wanna drill a hole into the rig.
Absolutely I did. But think about this...there's a ton of wires coming out of this thing. If it's on top of the fuse box, when I need to get to it, I'll have to move the lid AND this box with all the wires. It's just a lot more mess to deal with. I would rather just have it to the side
Also I would rather drill a hole in the rig where it's secure vs mounting it to a plastic lid because the box will be slightly heavy and I don't want it bending the plastic lid of the fuse box. Also if you drill the lid you'll destroy the fuse chart underneath it and I def don't want to do that
The fuse adapter originally comes with a 5A fuse, so i add extra 7.5 stock fuse on top to a 7.5A slot, coz add up its 12.5 which more than the 7.5A spot thst i insert, would that blow my battery? thanks!
@@finger8588 well the fuse is so that the battery doesn't blow lol. You have to figure out the amperage of what your powering and that's how you determine what fuse to put in. You can def swap the fuses but you need to get just slightly above the amperage of your accessory so if it runs to hot it'll blow the fuse and NOT your battery or start a fire
Heard a lot of great things about the Switch Pro. I couldn't give you my honest thoughts as I've never used one but all these systems are pretty much the same. I have the ApolloIntech installed in the Jeep and love it and I've also loved this on the runner too. It does what I need it to do.
It was a mini because that's what Toyota uses. I don't remember now what amps. I think it was 20. Have you tried turning on the unit? Because I know someone that thought it wasn't getting power but didn't realize there's an on off for it.

That's because I gotta do the unboxing and show the parts and what you get with the kit. My videos are comprehensive thus the time stamps so you can skip if you want
No it does not. What I DID though was add a 100 amp circuit breaker so if it shorts it'll cut the whole system. But as far as low voltage it doesn't. I'm sure if I get a dual battery setup though I'll use the low circuit cutoff fr that

Also if you drill the lid you'll destroy the fuse chart underneath it and I def don't want to do that
Got it sir! really enjoy your vid, looking forward to your next one.
I hope this is available here in 🇵🇭
Hmmm I'm sure it should be. If not there are tons of other options
Nice Vid... Sold
What do you think about this compared to switch pro for the $? I just ordered a new truck and will need one. Which one would you get. Thanks
Heard a lot of great things about the Switch Pro. I couldn't give you my honest thoughts as I've never used one but all these systems are pretty much the same. I have the ApolloIntech installed in the Jeep and love it and I've also loved this on the runner too. It does what I need it to do.
Any idea why they only make this for a jeep and nothing else?
I like that it mounted to the pillar. But mine is a ram
@@fredA1234 the ApolloIntech? I'm not sure. I like it also. But I WILL say this auxbeam in the runner works really good and it's universal
What fuse did you use in the add a fuse, what numbers. I cant seem to get the button controller to get power.
It was a mini because that's what Toyota uses. I don't remember now what amps. I think it was 20. Have you tried turning on the unit? Because I know someone that thought it wasn't getting power but didn't realize there's an on off for it.
@@BaptismOverlandI think you said add it to the acc which is a 5amp in the cabin. I went to use the aux beams add a fuse but the Tacoma’s fuses are low profile so I couldn’t fit the tacomas fuse in the auxbeams add a fuse.
Do I need to get normal 5amp fuse? or will I need a different add a fuse that has low profile fuses?
So you don’t need a relay that comes with the wiring harness correct?
Nope! This kit IS your relay already.
@@BaptismOverland thank you 🤙
Jeremy on the bleeping Jeep channel who drives the chubby chaser has a welder installed in his Dash
Hi, does it do momentary switch as well?
No. Just on and off lol
7:00 minutes right to install info 😎
That's because I gotta do the unboxing and show the parts and what you get with the kit. My videos are comprehensive thus the time stamps so you can skip if you want
Where did you get the mount from?
Comes with….
Auxbeam or Nilight?
Auxbeam
do you know of a similar solution that is smaller for motorcycles?
I do not. That would be dope!
Does it have a Low Voltage Cut off?
No it does not. What I DID though was add a 100 amp circuit breaker so if it shorts it'll cut the whole system. But as far as low voltage it doesn't. I'm sure if I get a dual battery setup though I'll use the low circuit cutoff fr that
Alot of welders have rigs specifically for welding. Not really uncommon
Yep. Learned that after I posted the video years ago lol
Dude you don't have a welder in your rig come on man!!😂✔️ that sounds awesome for real. I have not needed a welder on the trail yet. But I thought to myself I need one in my gladiator. I know I will down the road. Come on now about to check your channel out subscribing now we're a little bit behind you only 800 subscribers but we're working on it, I got to get back on the trail. Been too busy cutting logs on the sawmill
Check us out if you get time thanks
😂
Lol thats funny you didn’t know what a welding rig was. I know this was 2 years ago, you probably know what kind of truck it is now.
Yeah haha I've been corrected many times. We live and we learn
the only issue is ... the leads +- short AF
Man listen lol. Especially if you're mounting it to a secondary battery in your trunk. You'll def have to extend
No label for front parking sensors
They can only fit so many lol. And although I'm sure many use a button for that, it's prob not as common
Pipe welders and site workers
Link for the switch doesn't work 🤔
Sorry about that. I think they had sold out but they're back in stock. Try this one:

Hyperlink for Amazon don't work
Yeah they switched it recently. I'll update it but for now here ya go: www.amazon.com/dp/B08RRV197G
You’ve never seen a welding rig?
I've been made aware many times now that people bring their welders off roading 😂
Welders on off road wreckers
i watched this on mute - only because im on the phone wit my gf.. so you might've addressed this: but does this void your warranty?
It’s not the kind of mod that should. Normally warranties are voided if you’re switching out parts that alter the ride or performance of a vehicle (suspension, brakes, engine, etc). I could be wrong but this is just an add on that if you wanted to, you could easily remove it and the ride quality hasn’t changed
Put some lotion on those dry hands. Otherwise good video. lol
You would think that would help but chronic eczema being what it is...
Although Dupixent has helped since
You talk too much. But I’m going to subscribe anyway.
I actually did a video on exactly that. Go watch it.
