    Thanks for a very clear and simple video to help us learn how to wire correctly!

    are your add a circuits the correct polarity? I just installed a light bar with a switch and i did the same thing as you but after playing with my multimeter i think the hot side of that fuse spot is on the bottom so the wire should be on the opposite side.

    Sounds like you selected a fuse that's always on. Have you tried the fuse for the brake light like I did? Even though this fuse technically is always on, it comes on when the headlight lever is activated, thus the LED light only comes on when the headlights/tail lights are on. Hope that makes sense. As long as your switch's LED light is on, it will draw battery power, so I'd find a different fuse to work with.

    Great detailed video! How would you use this same push switch with the add-a-circuit fuse link for a ignition kill? I can't seem to crack the correct combination of circuits and wiring. TIA

      I'm not sure how the wiring looks like to the kill switch, but maybe this will help? th-cam.com/video/8ftolyaHp20/w-d-xo.html This video I just linked talks about the OTHER wires.

    Great Video. I have 2005 Land Cruiser. I want to add rock slider lights. I want them to turn them on when I unlock the car with remote and off when I lock the car. Any advice on how can I wire it?

    Hello, this same process can be done for a 4 runner with the additional switches that one wishes to put.

    You tested grounding on that bolt in the door jam, but where did you ultimately ground the wire? Thanks in advance!

      There is a convenient grounding screw in the FJ in about the same location.

    Asked on the other video. I’m using a bussman relay box so there’s only one wire coming in for the accessory (red 1). In this case, am i missing something, or can both green and red 2 go into an add a fuse?
    Thanks for this video. This is about the 7th video I’ve watched of yours to juice my FJ.

      Yo! I did this tonight and it totally worked.
      Ran my relay wires through the fire wall, and then fused the green and res2. Ran them to an add a circuit. Golden.

    I have a problem but I think it’s because I didn’t ground the cable, the switch has no backlight at all but when you press to turn on and off it works
    I have 2 harness but have slight back splitter to run them they arnt both the same brand though. I tried plugging the other switch onto the new one and I got light

    • @LiL13izzy7
      @LiL13izzy7  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's 2 bulbs in the switch (one for on indicator, the other to come on with your headlights. 2 different cables. Make sure you didn't mix them up.

      @@LiL13izzy7 the harness is a quick connect so it’s plug and play already if I can upload it would be easier to show you but it doesn’t require any joining etc with this harness from stedi

    when I ground my switch the on/off illumination works in opposites - is on when switch is off but off when you press the switch in. what could be causing this issue? thanks

    When I turn my car off, the led on the switch stays on while the lights are off. Two questions, what have I done wrong? And will this drain my battery or is the draw from the LED insignificant?

    • @attnielthomas7856
      @attnielthomas7856 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, first off, I am not an electrician (spoiler and sorry) sounds like you got your wires crossed somehow. I believe you are working with three or more wires and crossed your relay or even merged with the power wire. Yes, it is slow draining your battery, period. I recommend using a small battery or voltage tester to determine which is your 12volt source wire and other should be your relay wire.

      I’d like to add an OEM style gag switch that says “Machine Guns” to my 2015 4Runner, lol. I’d like it to light up the text when my dash lights are on, and light up the machine gun image when I push the button on. Do I connect the Green & Red 2 wires to the Add A Circuit and attach the Black wire to a ground bolt? And just leave the Red 1 wire unattached? Like your videos as they are very well made and instructive! Subbed.

    SO....How is this switch "wireless ??????????????????????

    • @LiL13izzy7
      @LiL13izzy7  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's just the custom text I decided to put on the button. At the time, I anticipated that I would route the switch to a wireless charger I would have installed, but never did.
