A lot of non-airbus extra unnecessary talking and steps but the BEST part is that they actually verified the failure before doing the ecam. This is probably the only video that I’ve ever seen where this step is actually performed. Most other videos pilots start doing the ecam right away witthout even confirming the failure. Great job looking at the overhead before commanding ecam actions
All the unnecessary talking could be resummed as: ELEC GEN 1 FAULT? CONFIRM?....then if its confirm: I've controls and communications: ECAM ACTIONS....
I wouldn't say is unnecessary talk, is just crew communication which is at the best, no need to shorten and talk like "aviator" like how we speaking to tower or control, if is in real emergency, you would want as much as information as possible, seems like you would be a fun guy to fly with.
@Dario Jimenez Wouldn't that mean CAT3 Dual is available then? That is what was missing out. What are the implications of starting the APU? Other than that, very much outstanding performance.
It depends on the situation. If you don't have an engine generator, or an external power unit that supplies AC power, the APU gives energy automatically to the unpowered AC Bus! =)

Extremely professional
Oh boy, this was interesting to watch. I searched ECAM actions and found your video.
Would love to see some more Air Lingus training videos !
hmmm... Wouldn't they want to advise the cabin crew that the main galley elect is now inop? -- perhaps I don't understand the effect on the gallery.
this is fantastic!
Excellent. Thank you
Fantastic video. Are there any more of these training videos by Air Lingus?
Yes, soon
Good clip! One question: Why not inform the cabin crew that they have no power in their galleries?
Once the APU comes onboard the AC bus 1 will be powered and the galley will no longer be shed .

Great CRM!
Nice
thanks Guys love it!😀😀😀😎😍

Does the APU generator go "on bus" automatically?
It depends on the situation.

To put it simple, Wesley, yes it does!
Go around procedure and new approach if possible
They we're descending to FL170 at the time of failure so I don't they can go around.
