SeaDoo GTR 230 Hesitation Problem | Cleaning the Fuel Injectors

  • My 2017 SeaDoo GTR 230 was getting stuck around 3000rpm, I cleaned out the fuel injectors. Even though they didn't seem that dirty it did make a difference.

    I ride mine 150hrs. a year, don't have any fuel problems. They're not picky on fuel, your just not riding it enough. I work on probably a hundred Seadoo's, Yamaha's , and boats a year. It's just the typical you don't ride it enough.

      Im having issues with a rotax engine 90hp , p0300 code , rpm stay at 2000, engine was replaced a year ago due the old one died . This is only 30hrs . Check engine its on.

    I have a 4 Tec Sea-Doo. It is a 2004 and I have never completed any maintenance but oil changes and one plug change. How are they junk?

    My issue was water in fuel. Took the line off the fuel rails and cycled the key ten numerous times into clear bottle, until clean fuel came out

    Does it matter what where to put positive or negative leads on the fuel injector pins? I see you have your red lead on the negative of 9v battery

    Have you had any throttle lag or super charger lag? I feel like I have no bottom end. Buddies 2006 170 GTX blows me away off the start. Other then that my ski runs great. Once I hit 4500-5k rpm she's a rocket ship. Anything lower its a slug

      check supercharger clutch slippage, should be set to 14lbs

    Hi man. I have same ski ( year, color and model) and developed same issue. Was idling fine, went to give it some gas and then it happened. Kinda like a missfire...but when i pulled injectors out and cranked it, all 3 were spitting fuel.
    U had similar issues? Cheers

      Very picky on fuel. Make sure to only use 93 octane. You can always add octane booster and I use lucus fuel injectors cleaner additive.

    Hey man, My ski has been sitting for about 2 years, I’ve taken the injectors out for a clean drained and filled the tank with fresh fuel but I’m trying to flush what left in the line between the tank and the injectors. I’ve turned the ski on with the hose that goes to the fuel rail disconnected and there is no fuel hat comes out. When the ski is on the on position is the fuel pump supposed to start pumping fuel? I’ve even tried cranking it for a couple seconds and there is no fuel coming through.

      That's funny. I'm coming up on two years of my ski sitting too and was planning on doing what your doing. Yeah when you stick the key in, the display should come on. When that happens the fuel pump should pressurize the rail. If the display doesn't come on, briefly press the start it should come on and pressurize the rail. Sounds like your pump is bad from sitting. The pump is located in the fuel tank. Hope that helps. Hopefully I'll get time this summer to get the ski back out. They're fun but the SeaDoos are really finicky. Wish I would have bought a Yamaha or kawasaki but I really wanted the supercharge model. Live and learn.

    thoses Seadoo jetski's are crap.....buy a Yamaha Waverunner and you will have no problem and runs on regular gas

      Yeah you're right, I didn't see how many people have problems with seadoos until after I purchased. I just assumed it was a reputable brand. Live and learn I guess, I do really enjoy it when I don't have problems, lol

      @@RanHam good advice would be to tell people not to buy those jetskis....they are absolute jumk.....buy a yamaha waverunner and have no problems....4 cylinder 4 stroke marine engine 1812cc....not a 3 cylinder snowmobile engine.....wake up people

      @@PCBoardRepair I’m wondering how the impeller shaft knows the difference between a snowmobile and marine engine, or can count the number of cylinders. Sure, the Yamaha is a good engine. My Sea-Doo Rotax engines are now eight years old. We run them wide open every weekend at the lake. Not a single problem yet. I run the right oil, I change it on time, and I run clean fuel. I don’t overheat them or abuse them, just run them hard with proper maintenance and ignore all the wives’ tales from the haters and the ignorant.
