  • Today is step one in my wood stove restoration project. We'll take a close look at what needs to be done and what I hope to accomplish. That includes removing the various parts, surveying the rust damage, applying rust-removing gel and lots and lots of scrubbing. If you're thinking about tackling a similar project or just like to see antique rejuvenation in progress, you're in for some fun. Time to get up, get out, and get restoring!

Juanita, maybe use a grill cover to keep water out when stove is not being used would help keep it from rusting again. Love the stove!

On a side note thank you for your hydrangea video. I took your advice and my hydrangea looks like it's coming back to life.😀 I'm seeing a lot of green stems coming out. Thank you again my friend.😊

Oh Juanita, what a beautiful stove. This stove is amazing in all that it does. I love the shiny bonnet ( lack of a better word ). When you were lifting the cooking elements on top I had a flashback to my grandmother cooking on her wood stove and how she would lift the cooking elements to add wood. Thanks for that wonderful memory. This stove is going to be gorgeous on the pergola. TFS
