Man sometimes I forget we lost this cool dude. Man it sucks.
I have a lot of anger still about him killing himself. I don’t understand it. I understand people are sick, but i still feel it’s a selfish act. I’ll never understand it. Don’t try to convince me otherwise.

@@tonystone8584 That's not how depression works. No one knows what was really going on in his personal life, no one knows what he was dealing with. Sometimes help has to be forced on to you in extreme cases, which is what I believe his was. A lot of internalized anguish. His job seemed like a dream, but only the shallow watched him for his sarcastic jokes and what food. He often explored the poorest areas of countries he went to, talking to locals and showing small bits of their lives. There's an aura of sadness in many episodes. I think he carried a great weight on his shoulders seeing so many people in so many countries living for dollars a day and struggling to get by. After years and years of it, along with who knows what else, it took it's toll.
God I miss this man so much, I learned to appreciate food from all over the world because of him.
Caipirinhas really are one of the best drinks out there.
He was harder on himself than anyone else was to him, and as a food writer that's extremely respectable.... even top level chefs respected this guy b/c of his character, but that's just what I think. This guy is irreplaceable... RIP TONY!
0:52 that is called Coalho cheese made from goat's milk in Northeastern Brazil. It actually does not melt, it grills and flrms a golden brown crust when put on the fire, or pan. Or it can burn to a crisp if you overcook it, but it never melts. Very tasty and it balances perfectly with Hass avocados, which is how I love eating it.

Queijo coalho é bem versátil e é feito de muitas maneiras. Primeira coisa, não é necessariamente feito com leite de cabra. Boa parte é feita com leite de vaca mesmo. Queijo coalho derrete como mussarela, pode ser firme e bom para ralar se for envelhecido e, como no vídeo, pode ser assado na brasa. Delícia das delícias.

0:16 he don't use Cachaça. He is using Orloff Vodka. The real Caipirinha use Cachaça. The most popular brand's in Brazil is: 51 and Velho Barreiro.
Caipirinha with vodka name is : Caipivodka or Caipiroska not Caipirinha.

51 is one of the worst cachaças that we have. Unfortunately, one of the most popular outside. People have to try one caipirinha with a good cachaça. It´s another thing.

Sendo um desses gringos que tá perdido aqui na Terra Brasilis há uns vinte anos , posso testemunhar que tem o tal de desconto de gringo , normalmente 25% a mais , faz parte .
Fico de cara quando usam vodka em vez de cachaça (vide este vídeo) na caipirinha. Até compreendo o fato de que alguns preferem um álcool mais neutro, mas cachaça combina muito mais com esse drink. Na minha visão, é claro.

This was not a caipirinha, It was a caipiroska because it was prepared with vodka (Orloff) and not Cachaça.

I lovedBourdain but he knew f-all about Caipirinhas. This is vodka. But his big blunder with Caipis is that in this video he say for a true Caipirinhas "shaken, not stirred" which is just wrong. Traditionally it is always stirred. I suspect modern shaken versions arose from the clubs and tourist areas. A quick way to spread the sweetness.

Orloff is a brand of vodka solely sold in Brazil by Seagrams. No establishment is going to be serving miscellaneous bootleg swill to their customers.
