Wow I just noticed an "Easter Egg within an Easter Egg" at 10:07. In the scene at the Milk Bar referencing Mario/Luigi a poster on the back wall has a letter being handed off between two hands. Reference to Links Awakening when Link delievers a letter with a photo of the lady named "Christine" would looks exactly like Princess Peach.
Dreams are a combination of experiences in the real world merged in with your own personal emotions. Link has definitely been to the Mushroom Kingdom and has done business with Mario and Co, which explains the Mario portraits and deco in Hyrule Castle.
You actually missed one I’m Tloz OOT. In the gerudo fortress in one of the rooms if you break the box in there then a picture of Mario from super Mario 64 is behind it. I’ve watched a bunch of videos about all Mario references in Zelda and almost no one has mentioned this one. I know it’s there because on my recent play through I accidentally rolled into the box when I was trying to climb it and when it broke I saw it.👍
Would have preferred the details IN the video, instead of scrolling down each time I did not see the reference... but, at least you have them all time-stamped :)
Not getting the first one, if it’s referring to a plant that has mouths, you might as well say venus fly traps are a reference to mario, the one in links awakening is a different story because it obviously resembles the piranha plant from mario, while the one in zelda 1 is generic plant with mouths.
it's the name of a mushroom (specifically the mushrooms in the game that he was collecting) peach is the princess of the mushroom kingdom, so her last name is toadstool.

You're probably thinking of the Ruins theme from Super Mario Land. There's a similar part there, but they're not the same song (and is likely not inspired by it either)
Additional fact: Links Awakening 2019 allows you to collect statues of the Mario related enemies in the game. The Blooper statue remarks about how "squids are all the rage these days." First off, i never thought i would see a Splatoon reference in a Zelda game. Second, this is also the only time a Zelda game breaks the fourth wall.

TARIN in the new Link's Awakening sounds like the actual voice of Mario.
In addition to these, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Was Made using an engine similar to that of Super Mario 64.
Originally oot will have a same structure to 64. Link needs to travel to paintings where the temples are to save zelda and defeat ganon.
The pyramid in Mario 64 was originally from oot
yeah thats right
Actually, the Chain Chomp was originally a Zelda enemy, but then got moved to Mario.
So technically Mario referenced it?
@@dangerdoggo-j6c I guess
Are you sure? The chain chomp's firts appearence was super mario bros 3 (1988) and link's awakening was launch on 1993
