I'm actually really surprised at the rejection that mic has. When you went in the garage/shed, it really showcased how little reflections that mic picked up. Nice setup!

I thought the mic had an echo, you may want to test mics in your studio instead of the garage. Also it would have been helpful to try out the transmitter with a lav mic to see how it sounds. For $30 this seems to be a sold value.
I think this might be a thing I could use. I have an interesting use-case where I stream myself DJ'ing music. I'd love to have a mic to talk into that's not going to add another arm and cables to my setup.
Would these work for a gaming setup? I'm not going to bother with a boom-arm or anything like that - I'm just looking for a simple solution to when I'm gaming MW2 or similar to that. I've tried several mics in the past .. But not wireless like these 🤔🤷♂️
Having to worry about keeping them charged while being in your normal setup is meh. Look into the ModMic or ModMic wireless if you want a more PC gaming focused mic setup that isn't something big like you're talking about
If you plug these into your phone, your phone should adopt them as a microphone/input for any programs you are using on that phone. They do have a USB-C port on receiver end where you can plug a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to plug in headphones, a charger, or anything like that.
Can the phone still output sound when the microphone is connected or will it try to funnel sound through the microphone, resulting in no output at all?
It will try to funnel the sound thru the mic drive so you will want to plug in a USB c to 3.5mm headphone adapter to plug headphones in. Or on Android, select the phone speakers as output after plugging in.
i have a problem with Boya by M1v2, I can't get stereo sound using it with my Xiaomi 11T pro 😢 What do you think, what can be the problem? I tried with OPEN CAMERA app, but I Get mono
@@CoalitionGamingBoth mics record on both sides, and its Mono. I used Trs-Trrs cable, tried everything that i know and it's still Mono. If you ever connect Boya m1v2 to a Android smartphone, and get stereo sound, please let me know :)
Love the review but I have a question. If i want to stream live on twitch and have a lapel mic I assume I'd have to use my phone with this particular mic but I use Iriun app on my phone as a webcam because I stream from my PC not my phone. If I'm using my phone just as a webcam and I want to use the mic separetely is that possible?
Yes but it depends if that app also brings the audio from the webcam into OBS for the stream. If it's video only, then no. If it's audio + video from the phone, then yes

I wouldn't do that, id lean on something like RTX voice/Nvidia broadcast
