! Important note ! In this video I mention a dozen times that it is a wireless BLUETOOTH microphone. This microphone in fact does not use Bluetooth. It's a wireless signal between receiver and the microphones, no bluetooth is involved! Thanks to @rok9587 for pointing this out!

Thank you this was super informative. I am going to buy one for my VR setup since I keep breaking cabled mics. Its good to see an option under $100 and after using a Boya Cabled mic, I know its gonna sound good.
Nice video. I have these and they are awesome. Especially for the price and the ease of use. They work flawlessly on my Sam. phone and my laptop with the USB-C. I think they are technically RF though, not Bluetooth. I was reading some specs and it seem RF is actually better than Bluetooth. Polling rate and some other gibberish. I noticed they even work good around corners and in other rooms of my house (not the same room as receiver). I think that is another advantage of RF and the 2.4 GHz operation. Sorry to be picky/annoying. :)
Thank you. I also think they are really easy to use and setup. The connection is fast and stable. I don't know how the connection works. All that's important to me is that it works as intended. Thank you for your comment and thoughts you shared! :)
great review, I have a couple of questions 1. Does it work with cameras that have the USB-C port like your Sony ZV-E10? 2. Does the receiver have a battery? thanks
@@guideyourtrip v2 means that you get 2 microphones, v1 is 1 microphone. If the product you selected shows the lightning cable port you're good to go :)
Is this mic good for outdoor use in traffic situations with horn sounds, vehicle noise, birds, and construction noise? My home is very close to a main road, and it's noisy 24/7. I can't record a video without hearing vehicle horns; they're beeping constantly. I have tried the Asus noise-canceling adapter, but it's not working well with my Android device-it picks up all the road noise too. Could anyone suggest if this mic would solve these problems?
Hello brother, I bought one like the BOYA microphone that you reviewed on your channel. But when we connect the charging port to the receiver that is installed on the phone, no light appears indicating the charging process Is it supposed to give off a light or not? Please answer. As for the microphone, it charges normally and the red light turns on
I don't fully understand your question. You mean you can't charge your phone while having the receiver plugged in your phone to use the microphones? If you connect a charger to the receiver when plugged in the phone your phone should just charge :)
Is this just plug in and its good to use? I just purchased mine and the microphone doesn't seem to be picking up my voice and still using the camera microphone... what am I doing wrong?
Hi, if you connect the receiver to your smartphone a light should start blinking. If you turn on the microphone and it's connected with the receiver, both the receiver and the microphone should show a constant blue light. That way you know they are connected to your smartphone. If that doesn't work it could also mean your phone is too old. This microphone setup works on my Galaxy S10+ but not on my Galaxy S8.
no, my guess is it's for interviewing someone but when I purchased this set on Amazon the price difference between 1 mic and 2 mics was so minimal it didn't make sense to buy 1 mic option.
@@WarrenSiervo no you can't, I've looked all over the internet for ways on how to 'hack' these microphones to a camera, but you simply can't. You have to record the audio with these mics seperatly with your smartphone and sync them in post.
If you use the 2 mics at the same time they won't have an audio track of their own. Both the microphones will indeed be merged into each other. So if you record multiple people talking through both the microphones at the same time you can't seperate the audio tracks from one another. Hope this helps! :)
You can't directly plug it into your camera to record your audio. You have to record audio seperatly with your phone and sync it in your video editor in post.
so far the quality is very poor. I wish it was like un your video . I have new phone pixel 7 pro . I wish I could do something to improve it . thank you
The quality you hear in this video is the quality it is right when it came out of the box. Maybe you could try to charge them fully or try both with noise reduction and without. Hope this helps.

Can I use this mic on my Windows PC? my PC has a USB-C

Boya V20 mic - how seamless is using this with your laptop (for Audacity recordings, Zoom calls, etc)?
Mine has the problem - no playback while Receiver connected @ USB on my Android device. So I have to unplug it after recording each time((
Unfortunately that's how it is. But for the audio quality and the price it is worth it :)
