I tried this way today for a bit. It was the easiest way to learn to throw it pretty round that I've found so far for a BIG net. I still like the way the old man showed my son and I because you dont have to get your back wet but I haven't perfected [it] yet ( I keep throwing a square) but your way was the easiest to perfect. Thanks for the video. I uploaded a video of the old man showing my son how to throw it without laying it over your shoulder.
Chris O'Sullivan, The Inshore Angler you sound like me brother, I’ve been struggling forever hopefully this one works I’m gonna try it out tomorrow. But so weird this net didn’t seem to braille lines cus he was pulling that net like it didn’t have any 🤨
The type of net is called a 'Spanish net,' as for the size I'm not sure. Research 'spanish net' to get more info if you're interested. Hope this helps; take care.
Spanish bag net, hard to find factory made now days there are a few here and there, there is a few folks around that make them one at a time, well worth it if you find one, not a lot of people use them anymore you loose a lot of fish with them but I rather loose some than throw on more than I can lift by myself. I once threw on a school of large mullet from under a bridge about 10ft off the water with a brail line net the amount of fish in the net was way more than I could lift had to call someone to help me bring in the net so I swapped over to the bag net now the 10 to 20 I catch is much easier to land....now if you are a commercial fisherman go the other way...
