by the difference in size, the 110 tends to deliver a little more low end bass, while giving a little more over voice region. Tends to be a better speaker, when you calls for sound quality and, indeed, it is. But the difference in pressure level is, indeed, mild. Both have the same sensibility (80db @ 1w), so, they will response equal to power supply increase. So, the formula is: Sb + 10*log(Power/P.reference). When you factore both as equal response and same Sb, you could simplify the formula by:
SPL difference = 10*log(Power,110/Power,encore). with is:
10*log(160/100) =~ 2db.
This is less than what you would gain with eath volume increment by the signal source (aprox 3db/increment for the Iphone control volume), indeed, a mild gain in SPL. But do not fool yourselves. There is a difference in quality. But you would need a f*cking crazy condense mic to record the difference and you would need a pretty nice headphone to lissen.
IMO, encore wins the contest because it is lightweith, easy to transport, cheaper and have a tremendous performance, for such a small enclosure. It is wild! I have one and i'm big fan of it. And if you pick a nice promo, you could buy two of them, play by the TWS and get a wild stereo system, that beats with a decent margin, even the PB 310 by the same price tag. The only down side is the battery life. But you could buy a pair of sealed 12v battery, a frequency inverter and be happy with half a day of performance.

Funny how the encore cost 300 and it sounds nearly the same as the 110 but the xtreme 3 cost 80$ more and doesn’t sound nothing compared to the encore 😂 anyways great video as always 👍
Yeah, the Xtreme 3 is really targeted at a different market. It's a smaller, more portable speaker with sealed, IPX67 waterproof design. The EE is, as named, more of a party speaker. Has lights, mic jack and ported design that is only splash proof. I do wish they would have used a larger battery in the EE. Even the PB110 is rated up to 12 hours.
It’s much much harder to design something so compact that is resistant to water debris shock etc. As well as keep the sound very good however sticking 2 woofers and tweeters in a wooden box and making it look good is a lot easier and cheaper to do. I have the pb1000 and this is only 899 compared to the 449 that the boombox 2 is currently at. 2 boombox 2s would be the same price as a single 1000 however it would mop the floor with Atleast 10 boombox 2s. However they have a different target portability is an expensive one unfortunately 😖

You can run them together, but it's really best to run two of the same to get TWS sound. Interestingly enough, the Encore sits on top of the 310 pretty nicely. I may do a video sometime of those two paired together, but playing stacked like one speaker. 😆
The little one has a better middle. It's like 100. 100 has the most radiant middle of all the Partybox.

Yes, both speakers can play together in wireless mode.
You would think the 110 would blow out the Essential by a lot with 60 watts extra & dual woofers

You can play them together via wireless connection, but it won't be true TWS. To have actual left and right stereo you have to have two of the exact same speaker. In your case, two 310's.

I went through this same evaluation of the Extreme 2 vs Flip 6, and the Flip 6 won out considering its diminutive size.
I watched a few videos about the encore and was amazed at first. Then there were comparisons against the Partybox 110 and the encore sounded even lower. Can you confirm it?
I don't have the Encore. You mean lower bass extension? Extension wise they are similar. The Encore Essential just doesn't sound quite as rich bass wise since it is smaller and has just one woofer. Still does very well for being about half size. 👏

@@Matetube12 yeah, I don't buy that. Extension wise they are very similar. The Encore Essentialjust doesn't have the same rich, full bass overall that the larger 110 has. Don't kow if they did anything g different with the Encore compared to the Encore Essential, however. The Encore still isnt available in America.

Depends on what you are wanting the speakers to do. 2x Encores would give you TWS and a much more versatile and enveloping sound.

Buy one encore and one 310 you will get perfect balance.
Encore will give great base below 50% and 310 will give bass above 50% with soothing loudness. 67 K in total.
The only negative I see with the encore is the battery it won't last on beach day..other than that it do sounds good for it size tho..
well, only when you buy the essential, the normal encore for 50€ more has 10h of battery life

I did a quick video showing the difference between battery and AC plugged in. It is a noticeable difference overall, but not a surprise considering that's how all these Partybox speakers with a battery perform. Check it out.
The difference is plugged in is just a bit louder when listening at max volume. No difference when listening at mid-volume.
Yes in battery mood bass is very strong. It shakes the windows in 40% volume with bass boost 1.

I would pay the extra $100 and get a second PB110. You xan run the PB110 and the Encore together, but to get actual TWS you need two of the same speaker.

@@yungsnowjbl5431 no problem. Just remember the older models won't play wireless together with the new models. Like a 1000 won't play wireless with a 710. Or a 110 won't play wireless with a 100.
I wish they'd rather include a single 8 or even 10 inch and a single loud ass tweeter in a bit bigger of the 110 enclosure so that it'll hit down to at least 40hz maybe even 35. They need to forget the dual 5.25 inch drivers and slap a solid ass 8 or 10

I can't run the Pee Wee at full volume inside or outside....too loud. I did run it at 60% vol., no lights or bass boost and it ran about 9.5 hours.

The extension on these is similar. The 110 will have a little fuller sound due to it having two woofers instead of one.

@@mukharroy1775 boomy? Maybe because it is putting out more bass and is close to a wall inside. You can always adjust the bass via the app and/or turn on/off the bass modes on the speaker.

Guess the biggest difference is the battery life. Encore is pretty bad. Bestbuy has the 110 for 329 and the encore for 299. No brainer there.
One other key difference is size. If you need something more portable for on the go, the Encore is a much smaller speaker than the 110.

JBL wasting space for the LED around the speaker. Even the small Encore could have bigger subwoofer size. Just by placing it behind the LED
Yes, the lights are simply there to drain the battery faster. And when turned off are there to waste space. You’re not going to have a party anyway with those lights even if the covered the whole surface

I think a bigger woofer in this box won't necessarily sound louder, because a bigger woofer needs more space to deliver its full potential.

Encore sound much better than 110 with/without considering the size: deeper and clear bas than 110, and mid + hi are much open and clear.
