@@AB-80XLets say I would want to do this. What kind of power station would I need, and how many hours could I add? I find the battery on the encore (non essential) to be horrible, but also don't like the sound of the JBL boombox 3...
Los dos son hermosos , claramente son para diferentes escenarios y portabilidad ! Si tienen la oportunidad cómprense los dos , yo compré la partybox 110 en Julio y estoy a la espera de que me llegue esa Boombox 3 🤩

The Boombox 3 has clearly crisper treble/stereo and mid/vocals than the and the partybox Encore. While the Encore has more bass, it also seems that its bass is just boomy and echo-y and while the Boombox has less bass, its bass is tighter and defined without being echo-y. My two pence. I like bass but I am inclined to go with the Boombox 3, in case it is possible to enhance its bass.
Not really. Sadly, what happens is that a lot of people review the Encore with the bass boost on. Unless you have this odd idea that music is best listened to with way too much bass, it is not needed. It is already strong as is. If you measure out the Encore, it is surprisingly smooth over its entire bandwidth, where the Boombox 3 gets extremely peaky about 6-8k and incredibly tiresome to listen to. From an actual audiophile perspective, the Encore is actually the better speaker. The Boom 3 has a bit more depth as it has two mids to aide in the stereo perspective. However, if you pair a set of Encores, they will absolutely blow the Boombox 3 out of the water. If you want something in the Boombox 3 size, get the uE Hyperboom. As long as you don't make the same mistake as many do and use that bass boost on the Encore, it has a fairly detailed and nice low end. Are any of them audiophile grade speakers? Of course not, far from it, but they have their place in a variety of uses. Love using my two Encores in a classic car with no soundsystem. Just throw them on the back seat and off you go. Good times.
Yeah, the encore is for those who like bass, I’m a bass head too but I prefer a more balanced speaker. The BB3 has great bass but the encore has more since it was built for that.
I'm in love with the bass of the Encore, however, I can't overlook the fact that it is so overwhelming that the mids and highs sounded quite muffled. The brighter sound of the boombox really compliments the listening experience especially for me, as an instrumentalist. I hope you can indeed change the EQ settings on the Encore just to tone down the bass a little bit or increase the mids and highs especially so the music is also much clearer. I'm still choosing the Encore though. Such bass is simply beautiful to have at a party
I have the jbl partybox encore and yeah you can equalize it you just put the highs all the way up and then will sound as clear as the boombox 3 but since I’m a bass guy I also put the bass all the way up and sounds perfectly how it wanted clear highs and a lot of bass
I feel like the encores on deep bass, hence the echoing sound. You can change the mode of bass to either, no bass, mid bass, and deep bass. I wonder if this might have a change in comparison sound between the two ?
I have both. Two Encores for poolparty at home. Two gives spectacular sound and lights. The Boombox is best for travel since its much more solid and great batterylife. Too bad its not possible to connect all three. That would have been awesome!
@@joaquinpereiramontana5010 This is absolutely correct. I always see people saying that you can't connect this speaker to this one, but with my Galaxy 23+, I can connect to any 2 bluetooth speakers at the same time.
Consider for the price of one boombox you can also get a battery bank with AC out. Allowing you to also use the battery bank for other things. I do understand though if you don't want to deal with that and just want something to carry around. I think the boombox beats the part box in convieance but loses on most other fronts. Even for people saying it has too much bass, remember he has it in bass boost +1 mode so you can even that out. Also keep in mind the party box series is made of outdoors/ larger venues so what sounds boomy indoors will sound nice out doors.
Perfector is right. I would also like to point out that if you compare apples to apples in terms of raw SPL and have both speakers do the same volume, the actual difference in battery life is not that far apart. You'd be surprised at how much comes out of the Encore at say just 50% vs. the BB3 at 80% especially if you try to get any kind of low end out of the BB3. The BB3 is nice if you sit int he park a few people and never really go above a level where you can speak normally. As soon as you do, it will not sound as good and it will also drain the battery. At the end of the day equal SPL will usually demand similar power numbers as long as the speakers are equally sensitive. The Encore only gets really powerhungry when you push it hard, and then it will absolutely blow the BB3 out of the water.
@@PerfectorZY Correct on the bass boost. I get it, people who do reviews tend to think that all people like a sound where bass drown out everything. But if you measure the Encore without the bass boost on, it has a lot of it already and unless you have desensitized your ears to bass, then it will be plenty in normal mode. I will also point out that the Encore does not choose +1 bass boost as default. At least mine does not.
Well, I mean if you’re having a party outside with no outlets or anything, I can see that being a thing but if you’re having a party where you can plug up at I guess it wouldn’t really really matter
You forgot to mention the separation of sound in the Boombox3 where the Encore doesn't really have that. the bass is definitely more pronounced on the encore but I'd still go with the boombox
BB3 has a more "audiophile" sound, more balanced overally, "wider" sound as the tweeters and mids are physically farther away from each other. Encore has more overall bass, but the mids and vocals are muddier. To me if money doesn't matter, BB3 is my choice, but of course, the Encore is cheaper.
Just listening on my sound system, my subwoofer picks up lower frequencies from the encore where the boombox has nothing, however, the boombox has more mids
The tweeters are the same in both speakers. Yes the BB3 is a three way, but it is actually quite bright and shrill - not very smooth or pleasant. If you measure them, the Encore is the better balanced, as long as you turn that bass boost off. And even with the boost off, it is still a fairly bass heavy speaker. The BB3 has very little low end extension.
Did you have any problems with the battery on the encore? And what version did you have? (Says on the serial number the two big letters) Becsuse apparently there are two versions of the encore (not essential) one had a fast draining battery and they fixed it on the new model
Got 2x encore essentials instead of a boombox 3 as the stereo separation will be better and I couldn't pass up that deep bass. Also 2x encore essential cheaper than 1x boombox 3 and battery is not much of a problem for me
Battery isnt a problem for you? These have a galaxy s2 battery on each one, barely surviving 1-2 hours of play time. Using it indoors is stupid because any fine audio system will destroy it indoors, and you cant take it outdoors cuz it will die within an hour. Thats why jbl boombox 3 exists, with better sound overall

Granted I use the new Encore, but I have some experience with the Essential. It really depends on how loud you need your music when it comes to battery life. It is a surprisingly sensitive speaker and even at 50% it's rocking pretty good for its small size. @KirkFord-w1b I went to the shop compared the two. I sarcastically asked the salesperson which is better he said the 110, he felt it wsd pretty obvious. We tested both, the boombox 3 sounds more refined, it's the kind you'd use for more than one type of music. As for the 110 it's good won't lie, but the price difference tells you the story.
The encore has a party sound because there’s too much bass and not much clarity. But the bb3 sounds over all Balance which is more pleasant to the ears…
Good observation. Some of us actually listen to music, not just crap. However if you listen to crap, then an unbalanced bass machine might be the only thing that matters. To you it's perfect, but we all know why. Let's be honest.
Im a basshead, And i own them both 😂, i think the boombox 3 is focusing more on the quality of the sound like the sharp highs and the strong mids and still good bass, but the encore's focus is on the bass, in like 41-44 hz its the strongest, if u put ur ear next to the bassport, u can feel ur eardrums shaking man wtf.
The Boombox 3 sounds way more detailed and has a better overall sound. I feel like you can't even really hear the reverb of the vocals on the Encore, which of course has more bass.
Well.. the truth is that the encore has been tuned with boosted bass at low volumes in stock eq. So it gets excurstion too fast therefore people complain about bad battery and even distortion at some tracks. The boombox 3 came way more neutral sounding, the bass goes louder as the volume goes, while the encore reduces bass at high volumes.. simple as that Try adding bass to the boombox 3 on the eq and see what happens.. it goes easily down to 40 hz and lower The bass of the encore is a bit uncontrolled and over the place, it gets very messy and has echo ahead of the kick or the low bass note.
@@no2thenwo737 for a fact, the boombox 3 has higher quality tweeters and drivers, it has better overall sound designing and tuning. Not only the encore feels cheaper, it also sounds cheaper. And if you cant see the difference its either a hearing problem or you just dont care what you listen to xD
Have you actually measured the Encore? It does nothing of what you say. They have not created a curve that drops off the louder you go, at least not if you don't switch on that silly and useless bass boost. I have that on black and white measured both inside in my home theatre and outside. Bass acho ahead of the kick? What do you mean by that? There are actually very few phase issues with the Encore. Want to talk phase issues and comb filtering. The BB3 has so much comb filtering between those two mids sitting less than 40 cm apart that it can part the hair of a bald man.
@@shoerice5083 For a fact, they use the EXACT same tweeters. Have you opened them? I have. Man, reading all of your posts, you are so full of yourself that it beggars belief.
@@AB-80X yes bro, i currently own the encore. And both sound different.. i wouldn't say that it sounds worse or better. But yes the base has a decay to it, probably because of the port.. sounds good, but i can see situations i which the boombox 3 would benfit more. And not only the battery
If you stay out of the bass boost which is really not needed, then it is actually very well balanced as is. Maybe give it 2 db in the 7-8 khz range but that's about it. If you measure and sit down with a closer listen, you quickly realise that the BB3 is shill and glass shatteringly bright. Some confuse this with definition and transparency - it is not. Also, if you use Spotify, there's actually a built in EQ in that which is way better than the one in the app.
Yes but I would not play it over about 80% volume til it gets to at least 20% charge or 1 full bar lit up... just to save the battery and charger strain
Blind listening while reading the comments and the boombox sounds MUCH better overall (I don't own either system yet). But there didn't seem to be any consideration for which settings they had in their respective apps, at least the Encore is supposed to have one.. that hurts this comparison.
Both speakers are amazing, the BB3 has better mids (slightly) but the encore has much richer and lower deep bass and an overall smoother sound profile and at a lower pricepoint...encore for me
Very little difference outside of the SPL each can produce. Depending on your needs, two Encore's might be a better choice as the wider stereo image makes for a totally different experience.
That's an odd one. If you like the Devialet house sound, sure. Their house sound is an odd mix between B&W and Audio Vector. Have had some of their amps and speakers in the past. Hard to get along with. Can't imagine their new bluetooth stuff is any different.

Listening to this through a home hifi system, the boombox 3 has a little less rumble, but it sounds way cleaner and open and more refined. Boombox 3 for me❤
Go and take a listen in the real world. You'll be surprised at how quickly that BB3 wears down your ears. Just shut that bass boost of which is not needed anyway, and you get a very nice and smooth sound.
Here’s a great and uncommon question: Can you pair JBL Encore to another encore with double-AUX adapter and use them just like TWS connection but instead its wired?
Yes, BUT you need to use the right adapter if you don't want dual mono. Use the following. A male 3.5mm stereo TRS to two female RCA's, Then connect each speaker with a male RCA to stereo male 3.5 mm TRS jack. This way you use both channels in each speaker and all the drivers.

We tested both, the boombox 3 sounds more refined, it's the kind you'd use for more than one type of music. As for the 110 it's good won't lie, but the price difference tells you the story.
I like the boombox and i like bass.
The encore is too muddy in the high end for me.
The encore has a party sound because there’s too much bass and not much clarity. But the bb3 sounds over all Balance which is more pleasant to the ears…
Like music, sound is subjective.
Do you own any of them?
Good observation. Some of us actually listen to music, not just crap.
However if you listen to crap, then an unbalanced bass machine might be the only thing that matters. To you it's perfect, but we all know why. Let's be honest.
I have the Boombox 3 everyone always compliments it and it sounds so crisp and smooth
Thank you bro for your review i love encore
Im a basshead, And i own them both 😂, i think the boombox 3 is focusing more on the quality of the sound like the sharp highs and the strong mids and still good bass, but the encore's focus is on the bass, in like 41-44 hz its the strongest, if u put ur ear next to the bassport, u can feel ur eardrums shaking man wtf.
Ported bass wins.... every time !
Nice! I love Encore)
The Boombox 3 sounds way more detailed and has a better overall sound. I feel like you can't even really hear the reverb of the vocals on the Encore, which of course has more bass.
Reverb? Are we into linguistic to be able to listen to music now? As though buyers are worried about the “verb” of anything in the first place
@@BBQBeerKars nah, but it's the details. They make the music nicer in my opinion
@@stevegamer273 ok steve. I was just joking
Encore more bassy low on tweeters
I prefer the encore thou
Well.. the truth is that the encore has been tuned with boosted bass at low volumes in stock eq. So it gets excurstion too fast therefore people complain about bad battery and even distortion at some tracks.
The boombox 3 came way more neutral sounding, the bass goes louder as the volume goes, while the encore reduces bass at high volumes.. simple as that
Try adding bass to the boombox 3 on the eq and see what happens.. it goes easily down to 40 hz and lower
The bass of the encore is a bit uncontrolled and over the place, it gets very messy and has echo ahead of the kick or the low bass note.
Yes, but that is your opinion. I have them both. Personally I prefer the encore with a tweak of the equalizer, but sound is objective, right?
And not only the battery
does the 110 have more bass than the encore?
yes
QN: Is it possible to enhance the highs/mids of the Encore?
There’s an app you download for the EQ pretty neat
If you stay out of the bass boost which is really not needed, then it is actually very well balanced as is. Maybe give it 2 db in the 7-8 khz range but that's about it. If you measure and sit down with a closer listen, you quickly realise that the BB3 is shill and glass shatteringly bright. Some confuse this with definition and transparency - it is not. Also, if you use Spotify, there's actually a built in EQ in that which is way better than the one in the app.
Guys come on ! No comparison between those two lol , one is for party , karaoke . Another is on music side . Both are good !
Hi and Hey About the Battery iFGoes Down totally about the charging do i Could Play with connecting on the wall or to the energy ??
Yes but I would not play it over about 80% volume til it gets to at least 20% charge or 1 full bar lit up... just to save the battery and charger strain
Hey After 11 Months with this Great Speaker Now I Know ,, Greetings From Mexicali Baja California México 👍
Blind listening while reading the comments and the boombox sounds MUCH better overall (I don't own either system yet). But there didn't seem to be any consideration for which settings they had in their respective apps, at least the Encore is supposed to have one.. that hurts this comparison.
Are you going to review the Monster Blaster 3.0, or the LG xg9?
Very well explained 👍
Both speakers are amazing, the BB3 has better mids (slightly) but the encore has much richer and lower deep bass and an overall smoother sound profile and at a lower pricepoint...encore for me
The encore has more bass than the boombox ... it's quite significant .
Boombox sounds a lil clearer not that the Encore isn't .
Very good comparison
Please test the same test outdoors and with a greater distance, thank you.
Please do a sound test between the Boombox 2 and the Boombox 3
Isn't there a store where you an go and listen? At any rate, the BB3 is miles better than the BB2.
@ABOlsen69666 the Boombox3 maybe better than the Boombox2 but I wish he would have done a review on it
JBL partybox encore vs partybox 110 pls🙏
Very little difference outside of the SPL each can produce. Depending on your needs, two Encore's might be a better choice as the wider stereo image makes for a totally different experience.
have you ever compared the partybox to the hisense partyrocker one
Please can u do a sound comparison between the jbl boom box 3 and the tribit stormbox blast ...please
can you connect a subwoofer to the jbl encore?
I realy need your playlist ! 😅
Which jbl Bluetooth speaker is best for acoustic song or vocal ?
Boombox3= amazing for medium volume and acoustic
In that case get a UE Hyperboom.
Hab mir 2 Encore's was für Monster wahnsinnig was da raus kommt hab immer wieder das Grinsen im Gesicht 😊❤
Requesting comparison between Boombox 3 and Divialet Mania portable speaker
The best compassion is F*cking devia maniac. Vs JBL Encore or Partybox 310.
@@HAIYANE9910 yes. Devialet is maniac overpriced junk ball
That's an odd one. If you like the Devialet house sound, sure. Their house sound is an odd mix between B&W and Audio Vector. Have had some of their amps and speakers in the past. Hard to get along with. Can't imagine their new bluetooth stuff is any different.
I’m confused as to why the Encore here sounds with deeper bass but specs say it goes down to 45hz versus 40hz on the BoomBox.
Make update to your Boombox 3 into 6.9.0 and use bas 2 and 1down nuch in the other 2 sliders
More bass doesn’t mean deeper bass. But both go very low.
Please there is a speaker called hopestar party one it looks like those to speakers you have just reviewed and it's very cheap but there is no English review of it can you please do I review about it and compare it to those two speakers because it's very cheap and it has good sound and there is no English review of that speaker on TH-cam thank you I love JBL BUT IT'S SO EXPENSIVE IN MY COUNTRY UGANDA
Hopestar is poop, a company that makes speakers out of random garbage and screws they find.
Did the boombox have a eq on?
Jbl encore or partybox club 120 🤔
Listening to this through a home hifi system, the boombox 3 has a little less rumble, but it sounds way cleaner and open and more refined. Boombox 3 for me❤
Go and take a listen in the real world. You'll be surprised at how quickly that BB3 wears down your ears. Just shut that bass boost of which is not needed anyway, and you get a very nice and smooth sound.
JBL encore sounds little warmer sound but while bb3 sounds louder
That's because the BB3 is extremely bright. Tiresome to listen to after a while.
More warm sound with less bass slightly distortion
PartyBox 110 vs boombox 3 or 2?? Got 110 hope boombox isn’t better
It isn't. You'll be very happy with your 110.
Hi,
why u dont do Stereo sample with in u video if u got 2 encore. ? Like another utuber say it would be a major major major go ! 😉😂😂
I can get a new Partybox encore for €170,- on blackfriday... I already own the partybox 300 and xtreme. Should I buy the Encore? :)
If you have a need for something in between the two, then yes, but if the two serve you well, there is no need for another speaker.
Encore ❤❤❤
actually i like deep base so what should i buy. plz recommend me something😇😇
I can't tell the difference. Can you connect a mic to the boombox 3?
No
yuh. i trust you brother. 👍👍❤❤
Encore has more bass but boombox is a bit louder .. thank you for videos helps alot..
On bassboost 0, the Encore is slightly louder
Hey DLX special request.
Please review JBL quantum DUO please ;)

Can I connect them?
I’ve been watching you for 2 years now and I still think you’re CoryxKenshin every time I watch your videos
Can someone tell me the battery life of the Encore, at 80-100% volume?
I don't know man. I'm in love with the boombox3. ❤❤
I'm with you, bro. The boombox 3 is just a more refined sound speaker.❤
You guys need to get out more...
@@AB-80Xhey are you still a lil B? Or did you finally grow up?
Bb3 has better voice, more clear. But the pb encore sounds like more bass. I have the bb3 maybe i get encore
Here’s a great and uncommon question:
Can you pair JBL Encore to another encore with double-AUX adapter and use them just like TWS connection but instead its wired?
yes ofc
Yes, BUT you need to use the right adapter if you don't want dual mono.
Use the following. A male 3.5mm stereo TRS to two female RCA's, Then connect each speaker with a male RCA to stereo male 3.5 mm TRS jack. This way you use both channels in each speaker and all the drivers.
@@AB-80X idk wtf you just said lmao
Encore.✊
BB 3 without hesitation
I NEED HELP PLEASE.... I NEED OPIONS ON A SPEAKER. 500 OR LESS, LOUD, CLEAR, GOOD SOUND. doesn't have to be submerge proof or bass to knock down walls, just loud good clear full sound. I was looking at the boombox and hyperboom but but most of all I trust your opinion because you have physically heard a lot of speakers.... THANK YOU
Boombox 3
Pls do JBL encore vs Sony srs xb 43
Boombox 3 all day, overall sound quality and balance. You can adjust the EQ for more bass. Yet as a bass head the Encore will probably maintain better basa at max volume.
And I love bass! Yet you can't really EQ in good balanced sound quality!
Boombox 3 for the win for me all day!
may be boombox 3 needs a firmware upgrade...
Can you do outdoor
Can you do a JBL Boombox 3 review
Please review the new Sony XV900 Speaker 🎧

I LOVE BESS🤯🤯
I have 2 jbl essential encore, i a love theme
I think boombox is have more bass anyways i like partybox encore but you now the smallest partybox of JBL is like a partybox essential partybox es300 its cute and you know the other partyboxes has a partyboost connection like TWS connection but a new partybox is comed partybox ultimate like your videos😊😊
Ported vs sealed Ported always sounds louder but quality its sealed
Did the encore play with bassboost 1 or turned off?
I just WON an Encore speaker!😋, but my question is can you link the Boom with the Encore? You missed that in the video bro
U cant homie
i have used both boombox 2 and boombox 3 but in max volume there is no much bass on boombox 3 as boombox 2
encore sound very bassy and soft in default eq. It sounds pleasant, perfet for chilling, but a bit lacking details in highs. Boombox mor highs, but sounds too harsh at higher volumes in my ears. Only box I know so far that manages to have reallly good and detailed highs, without getting harsh and unpleasant when you turn it up, is the sony xb43.
Where's mid/treble of Encore? :/
It is there. The microphones just picked up bass way too much that it covers the other parts
