    Most of comments here, forget one thing .
    I would agree that " watt per dollar " PB 110 takes the win , because it is not "so much " of a difference considering the price .
    And it is easier for the transport .
    BUT, and this is a big BUT !!! These are bt battery powered speakers ,and, that 200 bucks difference gives me at least 2 hours MORE od music !!!!!
    True, louder, but not by much, still louder and the luxury of minimum 2 hours more on max, and much more than that on lower listening volume.
    So, difference in dollars is justfied when You add that to equasion .
    Just, my 2 cents .
    Love the vids .

    I have Encore essential.
    Now i have one option between 110 and 310.
    My needs.
    A) i am a singer. I want to see karaoke review for both.
    B) I will never need to cross 75 % volume. My average listening volume will be maximum 50%.

      I saw your comment now, after a year you may have already decided, but if not, the 310 has an input for a microphone and an additional one for another microphone or an instrument.

      Just following on from my previous comment, A friend of mine has the 310 and we both agree that the 110 has better bass at lower volumes, the 310 overtakes it once u go up past around 60-70%% volume.

    I had the 310. The only thing I didnt like about the 310 is the very honky mids, especially vocals. Still the best portable bt speaker in my opinion. The 110 has nothing on the 310 except size. And price.

      @@guywithoneeye5589 anything will sound better when you put 2 together. 2 x 110 will never match the bass of 1 x 310, it wont match volume wise either. As a party speaker, the 110 has nothing on the 310. The 310 is still the best portable party speaker to date.

      @@AbsoluteFidelity I think the 110 sounds better in all categories, balanced mids and treble, and for the size, the bass is up there with the 310. 310 mids is not balanced with the bass and treble, too much mids drowns the treble and bass, and at 100% the 310 mids sounds like a horn!! Yeah, the 310 is $500 and the 110 is $350 most retailers, however JBL.com has the 110 listed at $399.99. I think a good value right now is the Partybox 300 on JBL.com for $399.99, new. • @JaysStraightUpReviews
      @JaysStraightUpReviews  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do it so you can see how the volume compares at the same volume percentage on your device. For example, some speakers start out fairly loud at low volume, but at the end of their scale don't go up much. Say you have two speakers that have different output levels at 80%, but at 100% one is louder. Setting them at the same percentage allows you to see just what difference their is in output and performance at the same volume. 😉

    I have different speakers for different needs. My all time favorite is still the Soundboks 2 (has 2 10's, high frequency range and wood coated in plastic cabinet). I'm not bringing that to the pool everyday though and is best for the boat or beach. For more of a quick grab and go option, I did pick up a Partybox 110. The bass goes impressively deep on it considering its size, although the second bass boost is unusable and very high boomy IMO. They NEED to allow people to EQ! If you want to blow everything out of the water and really feel the kick of the music hitting your chest, go for the soundboks, but for sheer size and grab 'n go portability, you can't beat the 110. The 310 is just getting too big in my opinion, and you're better off with just jumping to the Soundboks class at that size. Maybe the 710 will be a good contender to the Soundboks, but there's always going to be that made in China/plastic factor to the JBL's vs. something like the Soundboks. If you're looking at the 310, bite the bullet and go for the Soundboks, better sound and swappable battery that lasts 40hrs.

    • @JaysStraightUpReviews
      @JaysStraightUpReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I also have the Soundboks 2 and while it does get loud, it is lacking in bass, especially considering it's large cabinet and drivers. It just isn't right that a much smaller Partybox 110, with almost half the size, produces better bass. I will say if I had neither the 310 for $500 or the Soundboks 2 for $700, I would get the 310. It has the wheels and handle for portability, much better bass output and other extras like lights. I may do a comparison of dual Partybox 110's vs the Soundboks 2 in the back of my SUV for tailgate style use. BTW, the Partybox speakers do have plastic panels, but the underneath cabinet is made of wood.

    • @ryanmassey1245
      @ryanmassey1245 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JaysStraightUpReviews There's something about the SoundBoks 2 that's raw and makes me want to get up and dance, I just feel it more. IMO it has more of a live and wide sound to it, you can tell in this video even th-cam.com/video/d6vbZcyU7PE/w-d-xo.html It's all personal preference but I end up going with what gets me moving. PB is definitely going to play warmer inside, SB is really designed for outside (too much for indoors). I also like tight and punchy bass. On the PB when inside, both level 1 and 2 of bass boost are too boomy for my taste and I grew up with 12w7's in my car hehe. I'll use level 1 outside, but I must not play the kind of music level 2 sounds good on, since it's such a high boomy sound. I am very impressed with the weight, size and output on the 110. While I appreciate factory tuned sound, I really wish all of these companies would have EQ's, giving us options to use default or tune. JBL could give us that present with a software update, but I'm not certain they've ever done it on previous products. I am glad I waited out for the x10 series, since it doesn't sound nearly as flat as the 100 did. Bright highs and low lows.
