I don't think it is possible to underestimate this man's character and talent. Let's be honest, for him to make it in the US post war, from the 50's through to his death is a testimony to not just his talent but his character - and hats off to Frank and Co for supporting him.

Sammy had the ability to take any song and make it his own. And what a voice he had, especially for a small guy. Gosh, I miss this generation of entertainers.

My parents were Arthur Murray dance teachers and taught dancing for 50 years in my hometown ! They taught all over the state and had a huge dance review at the end of the school year ! It takes a lot of guts and being comfortable on stage to hold an audience like that! My Dad was ALWAYS the Master of Ceremonies and always new what to say and make them laugh! It was standing room only back then ! But my parents were HUGE Sinatra, Sammy , Dean, Joey and Peter fans ! They went to the Sands every summer to see them !! My dad studied them well ....... 👍🍸👍❤
