I was wondering if you could share a little bit about what are some of the key deatils you need to include when you reach out to a professor ? Do you need to include in those emails details about why we are particularly interested in an area of research or do we leave that for the LOR ?
Hi, you should be writing to the professors to impress them and get a potential chance to work under/with them. So you can talk about your research area, skill set, interests and ask for their guidance.
I feel happy for your English communication, nice for body language u try to research indian economy budget system, allocation of funding , poverty eliminate in Indian citizens , corruption control in utilizing of funds in government sectors , reserve Bank role india , banking funding for small sector industrial policies, pollution control system with proper economy and proper funding, please read and research this angle I hope next noble prize with your research so wish u all the best,

I want to know whether it is very important to have research proposal or not while emailing professors in the beginning?
You do not need a detailed proposal but you still need to show that you have done your background work. Just an email your CV and asking whether he would accept you as a PhD student usually won't work.

Hi Apurva! I had a doubt regarding the finances of moving to the US with a fully funded PhD offer. Does one have to pitch their own housing and living expenses before they receive their first stipend? Do students get campus housing, or must they arrange accommodation outside before arrival? How much personal expenditure did you incur before you received your first stipend?
Your academic record must have been impeccable, no doubt and your English is very good. Did you take professional help for the emails to professors and the SOP.

Hello Sharath, Some colleges waive off GRE but TOEFL is a requirement for almost every college.
