New Years Eve weekend I saw Mike Reid on some TV show on PBS. Don't know the name of the show but it was copyright 2023. He was talking about songs he has written and was singing and playing some of them on the piano. I haven't seen him on tv in a long time and it was neat seeing him. I always loved this song Walk On Faith.
This song has helped me a lot, I’ve struggled with many mental health issues and this song has kept me being happy when times are sad! A master piece and one of my all time favorite songs ever made.
he was so underrated, from NFL, and quit the NFL to start a life of singing uplifting sprit filed music, not to mention that he wrote many songs for popular artist that you hear everyday. In 1984, Reid won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song with "Stranger in My House", which was recorded by Ronnie Milsap. Reid would also contribute compositions to artists such as Marie Osmond, Tanya Tucker, Collin Raye, Alabama, and Conway Twitty. In the 1980s and 1990s, Reid wrote 12 No. 1 singles[1] including "Forever's as Far as I'll Go", which was recorded in 1990 by Alabama; their 29th number one country hit. He was also featured as a guest vocalist on Milsap's "Old Folks", a No. 2 hit from early 1988. He also co-wrote, with Allen Shamblin, Bonnie Raitt's hit "I Can't Make You Love Me", which reached #18 on the Billboard Pop Charts and has been covered by countless artists.

I was exactly 15 years old when this came out. It's incredible how one song can bring back a million memories. Mine are back on the farm. Fishing in our pond and my dad playing this song when he would BBQ for friends and family just about every other weekend during the summers. That life was very hard work but.............. it was a simple life that had it's own rewards. I would give anything to get that back. This song and Randy Travis's - Forever and ever Amen make me think of that time in my life every time I hear them.

We have come to this place in our love
Where faith must be stronger than fear
For if true love is our destination
Thru every storm it must always be clear
The surest way to get there from here
Is to walk on faith
Trust in love
Just keep on putting one foot down
In front the other
When the valley so wide
We stumble in stride
And everything inside wants to give up
Walk on faith trust in love
Farther on beyond the shadows of our doubts
We will live where true love never dies
Though the road we must travel is uncertain
There is a truth in our hearts that never lies
It is by such grace we are bound to arrive
Come on walk on faith when the valley is wide
And everthing inside is telling you to give up

Well good morning. My name is Donald Mayer and I live in Coplay, Pennsylvania. What you said made a lot of sense. You will love it if you read Romans chapter 8. What a great chapter!! Listen, I'm 62 years old and have been blind since birth. You may send me a reply if you want to do that. You know my wife died on December 3 of 2016. She passed away on a Saturday. We were married 28 years. I will be glad to tell you about more music if you're interested in hearing about it. Well, let me check this for mistakes with my talking screen reader. Then, I will send this to you with a couple of key strokes. Have a great day!

Still love this one in 2020! Inspiring!
I forgot about this song... thanks for uploading it!!! 90's Country was the best!
This was back when country music was actually country music and not this mass produced bubble gum pop crap that's on the radio today.
You are exactly right!
Right on Brother. i could not have described the mass produced auto-tune crap on the radio today better myself. Really the global mass producing music industry sold their souls to the devil years ago.
i really agree i love this song and all his music this is what true country music is supposed to sound like we need more of this kind of country music today
Exactly!
Not many sounded better than this one!
Happy 76th Birthday, Mike!

Listening to this this morning I got to feel my husband's presence again after 26 years. Thanks.

And I am a TRUE Bengals Fan!
Oh my gosh....I’m like 6 years old again....wow! I remember watching this video on TNN in the mornings with my mom before school. I’ve always loved and remembered this song and am so glad I found it again. This is when country music was real and genuine! Such a great song and wonderful, timeless message! Thank you! 😁
