Really easy to follow. Only thing I would say was I used uk chunky and 6mm wool, they came out really big for a lady. I've dropped to a 5 mm (even 4 mm for the cluster stitch- I have narrow hands!) and they seem to fit much better :) super easy to follow considering id not done this stitch before... Love your videos! X

I HAVE JUST TRIED THIS PATTERN AS WELL AND FOUND USING THE j HOOK MAKES THE GLOVE TOO BIG. I WILL TRY AGAIN WITH A SMALLER HOOK.

I've learnt to crochet by watching your videos. It's something I never thought I'd be able to do, but your tutorials are excellent. I've literally made 6 beanies using your series of videos in the past four days as well as a few other things. For this particular project though I was wondering what was the yarn you started with? I'd love to give these a try too! :)

So I followed the pattern almost to the end and then tried it on. I have really small hands for an adult apparently. Lol. I unraveled it and skipped a few stitches in the bunch stitch (the hand part). I love the wrist part! It is so warm!
I'm going to wear these while I crochet. Just got the first freeze of the year here. Thanks so much!

I just have to say Thank you so much I have watched many of your videos and made many of the patterns...you instructions are so Clear and videos are so well done. But I have to tell you I never do the foundation chains because I had wathed a bunch of videos and never saw where they were inserting their hook for next stitch and your video was like the light dawning because you actually pointed out where second stitch goes and then the next and so on. I am so excited... I make character hats like angry birds and stuff so I have good crochet skills I just never ever got that foundation chain stitch lol

Okay, berries, I have used this pattern a few times; I'm just having an issue with the foundation row not being stretchy. I've tried making it loose, but that very bottom row just doesn't give. Does that always happen with this type of cuff pattern? Does anyone have any feedback or tips?

I really like the knit stitch but aren't good at knitting so this stitch really helped me out! I was trying to make a pair of mittens and I really like the knit stitch, it's so much better than the single crochet stitch, but I'm not sure how to use this stitch or perhaps the waistcoast stitch to crochet a pair of mittens. Is there a possibility that you can record a tutorial about how to make not fingerless mittens? Thanks so much!

I got some heavier yarn than I normally use and the 6mm hook. The yarn I used wasn't the chunkiest, but between that and what I would consider the medium kind. I had to make everything smaller and trying the clusters above the cuff just made it too huge, even after lowering the number of links in the cuff.
They're really pretty... the ones you made... But I just can't figure out what is different unless our hands are completely different sizes. (=\

Very disappointed, try for hours to master this project, not sure if it was the yarn I used or the size of the hook, didn't work!! Will have another go in a few days time, desperate to succeed, any suggestions other than try another pattern which I refuse to do. The cuff was fine, the glove part too bulky to manage?

I’m stuck at the joining of the foundation stitch row (I can’t see where to join in exactly even when I zoom in) and the forward posting stitch (or what it’s called) is just... no. I can’t do this. This is the first crochet pattern I really gave up on :( it’s not her fault, my hands are too clumsy and my eyes aren’t trained well enough to see this. Might try later. laaaaaaaaaaaaaaater.

    • @HappyBerryCrochet
      @HappyBerryCrochet  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You would have to start with less chains at the beginning, so chain enough so they fit comfortably around the wrist and then work the pattern as normal, you would perhaps skip less stitches when reaching the thumb hole part but you can experiment. Good luck and happy crocheting!

can I make these being lefthanded ? will it sill turn out nice since I think being lefthanded I should be working back post instead of front post? or should I work front post like the pattern calls for?

I'm having a bit of trouble. My gloves are coming out so big and I have no idea why. I'm using the same hook and it still big. Is there something I'm doing wrong

Thank you for this video, I had fun making the first glove. I did have a problem with the finished glove. The cuff fit perfectly, but the main glove was at least 6 clusters too wide. I did use a chunky yarn and size J hook. Is there a way to decrease the stitches after I finish the cuff before starting the cluster rounds?

I'm currently working on a pair of these in a thinner yarn because my apartment is a bit cold so I am planning on wearing them indoors. I think it's kind of cute with the gaps! And thank you for showing how you sew in your ends, it's something I have procrastinated learning because I'm lazy. Nice tutorial as always

used worsted weight yarn, and a 5.5mm hook for the front post double chrochet ( the beggining) part, and a 5 mm hook for the rest of the patter, the gloves turned out great. i recently did ur cluster hat too using same yarn, and different hook sizes, and that turned out wonderful. i hope my friend likes them for her birthday :)

Hi, I made these using two strands of double knit, using a 4.5mm hook and a starting foundation chain of 25. I love the foundation stitch, makes for an easy start which looks far neater than the conventional chain. Many thanks.

I love this pattern but every time I make one the hand is too big. I tried to make it smaller but the wrist ended up being too small. Any suggestions to make the hand smaller or tighter?
