A fun tutorial on how to make some fingerless mitten gloves. Watch out for my unfortunate/maybe fortunate mis-hap he he Hope you enjoy! The fingerless gloves are suitable for average lady sizes, they're quite roomy so should fit most adults.

I'm on my second pair. I made the first pair and started the second pair in the same day. Nice and straightforward demonstration. Delighted with them. Lovely. Thank you 😀💜🙋
U r right
Yessss !! I'm coming to finish, for my Granddaughter. Easy, the second stitch avoid to make increases !! thanks a lot, Leelou
Really easy to follow. Only thing I would say was I used uk chunky and 6mm wool, they came out really big for a lady. I've dropped to a 5 mm (even 4 mm for the cluster stitch- I have narrow hands!) and they seem to fit much better :) super easy to follow considering id not done this stitch before... Love your videos! X
The Wool and Craft Hut Thank you so much!

I HAVE JUST TRIED THIS PATTERN AS WELL AND FOUND USING THE j HOOK MAKES THE GLOVE TOO BIG. I WILL TRY AGAIN WITH A SMALLER HOOK.
I've learnt to crochet by watching your videos. It's something I never thought I'd be able to do, but your tutorials are excellent. I've literally made 6 beanies using your series of videos in the past four days as well as a few other things. For this particular project though I was wondering what was the yarn you started with? I'd love to give these a try too! :)
Still here in 2022 so please don’t ever delete this pattern we absolutely love it!
No plans at the moment :)
these are so cute! is there a way to add fingers? :D
Waoh amazing ^^ i will do this for my bf ^^ thk you sm ^^
You tell lie bakwash hain
do you have a Tutorial on making the fingers with the glove ?
Would this work with thinner yarn and size 4.5mm hook?

If you use RedHeart I suggest 6.5 mm Works just as well.

Have you tried my Finger-less Mitten Gloves version 1 crochet tutorial? (^-^) th-cam.com/video/kZ5ASXC9slg/w-d-xo.html

I have made finger-less gloves before. I did like this ribbing you did on this glove. As for the version 1, I will look for it.

LOVE ❤️,LOVE ❤️ this video these are the most prettiest fingerless gloves I have come across .I hope you have more easy projects like this one in the future Thank you for sharing 🙏🙏👍👍
I made these in one weekend :) My hands are a bit smaller and I adjusted the stitch count slightly and got a good fit. I cannot wait to make more sets in different colors !!
So I followed the pattern almost to the end and then tried it on. I have really small hands for an adult apparently. Lol. I unraveled it and skipped a few stitches in the bunch stitch (the hand part). I love the wrist part! It is so warm!
I'm going to wear these while I crochet. Just got the first freeze of the year here. Thanks so much!
geckogal077 You're welcome!
Isn't possible without coffee ☕! Thanks for tutorial.
muy bonito los guantes pero me gustaria que lo pueda traducir soy de peru y fanatica del TEJIDO
I just have to say Thank you so much I have watched many of your videos and made many of the patterns...you instructions are so Clear and videos are so well done. But I have to tell you I never do the foundation chains because I had wathed a bunch of videos and never saw where they were inserting their hook for next stitch and your video was like the light dawning because you actually pointed out where second stitch goes and then the next and so on. I am so excited... I make character hats like angry birds and stuff so I have good crochet skills I just never ever got that foundation chain stitch lol
Oh I am so happy for you Leslie!! I am so pleased that I have managed to help you, thank you so much for your kind feedback (^-^)
, its very nis and good
Love the pattern. Question: If I want this a bit larger, to fit a man (I donate to homeless group) is there a multiple I can use? (Example: 4+2, 3+1 etc.). Thanks and love your tutorials!
I would love to know this too as I'd love to make them slightly smaller!
I got so lost I gave up :/

That's wonderful Georgina! I am so happy you are enjoying your crocheting journey. The yarn I used in this video was a chunky / bulky weight yarn, a yarn weight of 5 but I can't remember the exact brand I'm so sorry.
Just finished my first glove and your tutorial has been one of the best I've ever followed, thank you so much!! Thank you for being so clear, both in your vocal instructions AND your demonstration. And not to mention, super nice and sweet! I adjusted the amount of clusters to a few less because my hands are small but otherwise, an amazing tutorial AND pattern! Thank you! =)
Thanks for this video, I've been looking for fingerless gloves. I love how the thumb opening is so easy, most others are very confusing. I'm self taught, so written patterns don't make sense to me. I'll be making several pairs of these. Thanks again. 💖😊
Love your video. Very clear and thorough. Do you have an instructional video on the cluster beanie hat?
i hope she does it, cause i would like to make it.
You had me at 'optional cup of coffee.' (:
Lauren Coogle I love your fingerless gloves

oh thanks,
i watched it yesterday and did it today, i wish that i can send you a picture of mine,
and i was easy and am a bigenner
Mmmm ... I do not like to notice the beginning of each round. I think we can do something different, to make the hole for the thumb in the opposite hand.
What do you suggest? (My English is bad, I hope you understand what I mean)
A hug :)
So happy with this tutorial. I am an extreme beginner and this project came very easily for me. I plan to make many more for friends. Thank you so much for easy to follow videos!
Thank you for this lovely tutorial. You made a difficult pattern very easy. Just finished my pair of gloves and am loving it. 😍😍
awesome tutorial, mittens, and teacher! THANKS!
Thank you so much for your kind comment Rocio, really kind of you to say that!
I watch happyberry on youtube! :) Love her tutorials
Briana Majas Its a small world after all!!. I made these mittens as a Christmas gift for my daughter last year. She love them! I made them in blue.
It really is. I'm sure they came out really cute! I don't think I've made anything with the stitch she used.
Love this pattern nearly finished first one with a 10-12ply G 4mm hook looking good so far
Also when i finished the cuff i turned it inside and wow the texture and pattern are awesome so next pair are getting flipped 🤣
Among all the mitten knitting videos , your tutorial is the most detail and quite easy to follow , I never crochet before , after your Video , You have changed me to love it . Thank you !
Okay, berries, I have used this pattern a few times; I'm just having an issue with the foundation row not being stretchy. I've tried making it loose, but that very bottom row just doesn't give. Does that always happen with this type of cuff pattern? Does anyone have any feedback or tips?
I do like these and shall follow your comprehensive explanation. Is there a way to extend the thumb so it covers the joint, please?
These are so great! How can I adjust it to make it child size?
Me gustaria que lo digérant en espanñol
Hi, this is so lovely. I'm gonna start it, but have a doubt , like, if 23 stiches in the first makes the crist band tight ? I mean how would i first measure? Please
I agree with endless wonder a perfect video you make it all look so simple lol!!! thankyou so much : ) I can't wait to try making them : )
Mine is a bit loose on the wrist.. Is this how it is supposed to be or should I reduce the amount of DC at the beggining? FYI I am using a more bulky yarn as well
I HOPE SOMEONE READS THIS SOON. I AM HAVING TROUBLE AS WELL WITH THE SIZE AND COUNTING THE NUMBER OF ROWS, LOL IS THERE A SURE FIRE WAY TO COUNT FROM THE BACKSIDE TO KNOW? I AM NEW TO A LOT OF THESE STITCHES AND AM ENJOYING LEARNING PROCESS! THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US!
I really like the knit stitch but aren't good at knitting so this stitch really helped me out! I was trying to make a pair of mittens and I really like the knit stitch, it's so much better than the single crochet stitch, but I'm not sure how to use this stitch or perhaps the waistcoast stitch to crochet a pair of mittens. Is there a possibility that you can record a tutorial about how to make not fingerless mittens? Thanks so much!
Is there still a way to access the written version of this to follow along? Looks like the blog has since been removed but I’d love to try to make these 💕
Seasons Greetings & Happy New Year To You & Your Family 🙏😊
Who is here staying late till they get it right raise ur hand✋💀✋💀
Thank you very much. Your explanations are easy to understand~ I tried with the 6mm hook, but 24 sts at the beginning were too loose for me, so changed the hook to 5.5mm and it worked perfectly well. Greetings from Shanghai!~

it's hard to see where you are putting the next stitch with the light colored yarn can you please do this again but with darker yarn
That is bleddy genius!
cute glove however i think yours is a little big for me tried it twice and the cuffs are to big think i might downsize it a few but these are auper cute gloves nonetheless :)
does anyone have a pattern for mittens not the fingerless ones the ones that covers your fingers please help
oh, by the way I am making and infinity scarf and it would be soon much easier if i just did the base like you did, instead of chaining, sc then fp. thanks
It's a great technique, so happy you like using it!
Hello, i made one of this and sold the other day. Would that be okay with you, because am thinking to make more to sell again, would you please let me know if it´s okay or not. Thank you.
Jennifer
Handcraft Maiden Yes of course! That is totally fine. As long as you are an individual you can sell anything made from my designs.
Wonderful, thank you so much :)
I'm making and selling too
Me too lol. I love your videos so much!!
Gloves are great while working on the computer in winter.
REALLY SWEET. THANKS! I WILL USE RED HEART or LION BRAND sold by Walmart and JO ANN like stores, in the USA.
Bonnie Konjevich Glad you like them!
Mam awesome...I finished my first one....very beautiful n purple colour my doters favrt colour.. she loved it.
Thnx
Is it okay if I use the size of the hook 6\6-4.25 MM?
mình đã làm được ..cám ơn ad
I got some heavier yarn than I normally use and the 6mm hook. The yarn I used wasn't the chunkiest, but between that and what I would consider the medium kind. I had to make everything smaller and trying the clusters above the cuff just made it too huge, even after lowering the number of links in the cuff.
They're really pretty... the ones you made... But I just can't figure out what is different unless our hands are completely different sizes. (=\
subtitulado al español ,por favor!
wow I made my first mitten and it's huge. Followed exactly what she said too. hmm. The stitches are beautiful though.
I made my first one and it was ginormous but I made 2 more and those came out way better I realized that I accidentally added extra stitches because I didn't count correctly the first time
lol!! me too!! and i have big ass hands to top it all
Once again.....fabulous tutorial .... love, love these stitches.Thank you.I too am going to make more of the different ones you have(looking at comment from Handcraft Maiden) but unlike her, I am just doing it for our up and coming fete (open day of our village..we are retirees) and 20% of my proceeds will be going to a Charity. Hope that is OK by you. I am in Australia.Cheers ... thank youChrissie
Very disappointed, try for hours to master this project, not sure if it was the yarn I used or the size of the hook, didn't work!! Will have another go in a few days time, desperate to succeed, any suggestions other than try another pattern which I refuse to do. The cuff was fine, the glove part too bulky to manage?
What are you having trouble with? The double crochet foundation stitch? Or the cluster stitches? I may be able to offer an alternative to help.
Karol Jelbert When making this half glove, go slowly and be aware how she finish each row. I think she explained it very simple.
I’m stuck at the joining of the foundation stitch row (I can’t see where to join in exactly even when I zoom in) and the forward posting stitch (or what it’s called) is just... no. I can’t do this. This is the first crochet pattern I really gave up on :( it’s not her fault, my hands are too clumsy and my eyes aren’t trained well enough to see this. Might try later. laaaaaaaaaaaaaaater.
It seems a little wide can I decrease a little before the thumb is made.
I must start with a thank you for all your videos, i'm a beginner and simply love your uploads. However i'm having difficulties with this one. My left mitten has come out great but the right hand one comes with the seams (diagonal line of slip knots) on top and not underneath as on the other. What could i be doing wrong?
Que numero de crochet estas utilizando?
That came out really nice even with the two different category yarns. Nice. Good things can happen by accident :-)
actually i used thin yarn bcz bulky yarn was not available !!! but before doing the slip stitch to form a ring , i thought the ring was small to fit in my wrist !!! should i add some more stitches at first instead of 23 ???
because of the way it's set up it actually doesn't really matter how many you do, so I'd advise you to make it as big or as small as you want.
Can you do the same but with 2 colors? Please
You sound like Kiera Knightley!
I loved making them....amazingly easy pattern.but I got cute little one not an adult size. Though have followed you step by step..any way thanks a lot for sharing. Going to make second one.its too cute.
Lovely pattern. How can I make them smaller for a 6-7 yr old? do I just use a smaller hook or just not decrease the number of stitches?
You would have to start with less chains at the beginning, so chain enough so they fit comfortably around the wrist and then work the pattern as normal, you would perhaps skip less stitches when reaching the thumb hole part but you can experiment. Good luck and happy crocheting!
my cuff turned out fine , but my hand part is getting smaller each round..I dont know how i keep making it smaller ?? :(
Hi, I Love Your Video is one of My Best of All I Have Seen! I like the way you give step by step instructions. Thank you!!!Do you make hats??
Could you get away with a 6.5 K hook with this same project using the same number of chains and what not?
Omg I barely MADE IT! it’s actually very hard for some people like me 😔
Hola
Me gusto como te quedaron los guantes.
El problema es que no se inglés, y en tu página de tejido no tienes explicados tus trabajos para poder traducir.
Te agradeceré tu ayuda.
what do Ido to have a smaller wrist band fir the gloves
Had a hard time following along because the yarn was too white. I wish I could've made the pattern.
jae lani Have you tried adjusting your screen resolution, that may help.
can I make these being lefthanded ? will it sill turn out nice since I think being lefthanded I should be working back post instead of front post? or should I work front post like the pattern calls for?
Sista Christian
I'm having a bit of trouble. My gloves are coming out so big and I have no idea why. I'm using the same hook and it still big. Is there something I'm doing wrong
MusicMovieMonster96 You may be increasing somewhere, but without seeing your work I can't help greatly sorry.
I've just crocheted my first clove!! I'm soo excited I could do it!! Thank you!!!!!!
That's wonderful!! I am so happy you managed to follow along, thank you for your great comment :D
Thanks for the nice things I have learned of the past week.
Thank you for this video, I had fun making the first glove. I did have a problem with the finished glove. The cuff fit perfectly, but the main glove was at least 6 clusters too wide. I did use a chunky yarn and size J hook. Is there a way to decrease the stitches after I finish the cuff before starting the cluster rounds?
I'm currently working on a pair of these in a thinner yarn because my apartment is a bit cold so I am planning on wearing them indoors. I think it's kind of cute with the gaps! And thank you for showing how you sew in your ends, it's something I have procrastinated learning because I'm lazy. Nice tutorial as always
Yuhuuu... Second try and I made it. Did them in red and they are just gorgeous. I still need a flower on top.... Any ideas? 🤔
used worsted weight yarn, and a 5.5mm hook for the front post double chrochet ( the beggining) part, and a 5 mm hook for the rest of the patter, the gloves turned out great. i recently did ur cluster hat too using same yarn, and different hook sizes, and that turned out wonderful. i hope my friend likes them for her birthday :)
Est -ce que vous pouvez faire des nouveaux choses aves le crochet?
Hi, I made these using two strands of double knit, using a 4.5mm hook and a starting foundation chain of 25. I love the foundation stitch, makes for an easy start which looks far neater than the conventional chain. Many thanks.
I just made these and they turned out great. I enjoy watching your videos I've learn plenty of things watching your videos.
I am going to make a pair. I am sure they will give comfort to people with arthritis and those that work on computers all day!
I think that would be a lovely idea, I think they would too :)
Thanks. Best video. I want to learn crochet sleepers with solid base (flip flop base)
I love the pattern but for some reason mine come out too big. I don’t think I’m adding stitches. What do you suggest.
Beautiful fingerless mitten. This is such a beautiful stitch can u pls tell me how to make it straight so I can make a blanket. Thank you. :)
I plan to do a video sometime of both my mitten tutorial stitches when used in a blanket so watch out for that in the future!
Soo beautiful.
Thanks to you I crochet mY first glove .😊😊😊
hi! I love your work so much. Very easy to follow too. I have been making a lot of stuff. Would you be able to do a tutorial on how to crochet kids gloves? I'd love to make some thick gloves for my niece and nephew for this coming winter
Muy bonito podría poner subtítulos en español gracias
when I learn better Spanish I surely will (^-^)
Por favor en español
Thanks, it's very cute. I made this type of two globes already. it's a kind of thing that good to be special gift to SOVS :)
please make a tutorial on gloves with fingers
I love this pattern but every time I make one the hand is too big. I tried to make it smaller but the wrist ended up being too small. Any suggestions to make the hand smaller or tighter?
