Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm 12 and have always wanted fingerless gloves but my parents won't buy me any so decided to make my own (my brother helped me buy the materials online without my parents knowing) and this helped me alot! Thanks again♡
I have been stitching for over 55 years. Have made hundreds of things. For whatever reason, I have never made gloves. Thanks to you and such a great tutorial, I have just about finished my first glove. Why have I never made these before? So thankful for Internet, TH-cam, and the folks who put out these posts. Thanks for teaching an old dog a new trick.
Those with slimmer hands, don't increase on the 7th row. I followed this pattern exactly and then repeated it without increasing and I found it to be much better fitted without the increase! Amazing video and wonderful instructor. Well done, they turned out beautiful ❤
Ahh ok yes I did the same thing and it’s too big for my hand as I have small hands. Luckily I can give the large pair to my boyfriend and I’ll make a snazzy new pair for myself 😁
started learning the basics two days ago so this was my first project. doing the second glove now, love this video so clear and easy for beginners. can't wait to see your other videos ! thank u
I noticed following this tutorial that the wrist part fit perfectly as you try to size it for yourself but the hand part was a bit too wide. What I did to fix that problem is when you start to half double crochet on the brim i half double crocheted once on 2 stitches then skipped one stich and 1 half double crochet in the next 2 stiches again repeat till the row is finished. It all depends on your own hand so make sure to check it after each row you have done so you don't have to go back and start over.
I had the same problem. I have knitted for one hand and its very loose. I some how folded and slip stitched to fit it. I'll follow this for the next one.
I have watch other videos but you explain things very well and show us each step more than once beautifully for us beginners. You have a very gentle way of explaining things very well. Love these gloves too!
thank you miss claudetta!! i learned from my gma but i forgot a lot, now im making my family gloves for the winter (i know better than to bet on getting them done by christmas)!! you are a very patient and clear teacher, hope you and yours are happy and healthy
for myself: - chain 8 - row 1: single crochet from second stitch - row 2: chain 1 turn work, half double crochet into back loops only - repeat until 9 rows (until fits wrist - crochet brim together: fold both together. insert hook into first stitch grab loop make slip stitch. go thru both loops. fold inside out - round 1: chain 1, work double crochets all the way around, slip stitch together -round 2: chain 1, work double crochet in between every half double crochet -round 3,4,5,6: repeat -round 7: chain 1, make 2 half double crochets, chain 5, skip 4 or 5 stitches. into the 5th or 6th stitch place half double crochet. finish round -round 8: chain 1: crochet around chains(go under) make 5 or 6 half double crochets. finish round -round 9, 10, 11: do two or 3 more rounds? -final round: crab stitch, chain 1, work into the right side single crochet -tie your ends: -> then on inside diagonal, diagonal opposite then ->
This is fantastic, thank you! My elderly mother stays cold all the time and she doesn't like regular gloves because they prevent her from being able to touch and feel things so I'm going to make her a pair of these. Thank you so much for this EASY tutorial and, btw, I love the finish the crab stitch provides. ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely pattern , thanks. I did find two things needed adjustment for me . First of all , I decreased on my last two rows , for a tighter fit at the top. Second, when doing the right hand glove, I placed the thumb hole at the end of the round, rather than the start. Didn't like the seam showing.
Your videos are the best out there. Your video is clear and easy to see your stitches and your verbal directions are easy to follow. Last weekend I made a beanie you taught and this weekend I will have fingerless gloves. Thank you so much!
I used chunky wool went down a hook size and decreased 4 evenly after the thumb row, I also did 6 rows not 10,came out perfect, just adjust the stitches and rows to the size of your hand 😊
Her glove looks like it's decreased after the thumb hole but the instructions state not to reduce. I might have to reduce as its just going straight up
Thank you so much for your lovely tutorial. These gloves turned out beautiful. I used chunky yarn and think next time, I will use #4. Many blessings to you.
What a fabulous pattern and instructor!!! Super clear and actually shows you where to put your stitches. So many other channels assume you know and that makes it very frustrating for beginners. Thanks for such a pretty pattern and for taking the time to share it with us. ♥️
Thank you for a lovely pattern and new stitches that I haven't done before. What I have done fore this month is try a crochet something everyday of October and yours was one of them. And I gave them to a friend today and she loves them too. Thank you much. Your a super star 🌟
I am still making mine. My favourite colour is purple and they looking really good so far. Can't wait to wear them and I am going to make a pair for my friend too.
I love how you explained this tutorial your video was clear thank you. I will work on other things you've done I love doing new things i am still learning has been 5 years love to read patterns and watch the video
Decided I wanted to crochete, picked up a hook followed your video and I got one done in a weekand, very easy to follow directions and the product came out spectacular! Thanks, ❤️
Great pattern. Whipped them up quickly. Made them longer in the wrist. Very warm and just what my daughter needs so she can still use her phone with them on. Used 100g (just under) of stylecraft weekender super chunky on a 5.0mm hook and they came out as a s/m ladies. Thank you. I need to find a hat to match now.
Thankyou for the great tutorial, compared to many others it was easy to follow you. I also found mine was too wide so i only increased by 2 stitches and it turned out great.
Who other than someone that is an absolute beginner and doesn't understand English gives you a Thumbs down 🙃 Your videos are always consise and clear. Thank you again ❤️
Thank you for showing us this video mine came out great just one of the gloves looks bigger than the other buts thats okay because this is my first tie making this. I will definitely be using this video again.
Hi! Thank you so much again for this tutorial. Like I said, I’m a beginner but surprised and proud of myself when I completed this project in less than two hours. Well, I think I followed you instructions even did the rib as yours. After completing the project, the glove was too wide for my hand. Please, where did I go wrong? Appreciate if you could please help me troubleshoot the problem. Thanks!
Same thing when I was in the middle of doing it. What i did was i lessen the rows in the band so it is tighter to my wrist then I continue and it got tight in my palm as well.
Wonderful pattern. Clear instructions. Can’t wait to get started on them. I have to ask. I watch nail tutorials also and would love to know what nail polish you’re wearing. Is it Gel? Beautiful. Just like the gloves. Thank you
I LOVE your videos! Thank you so, so much, Claudetta 🤗. You’re a very good teacher: very clear and easy to follow. Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge! Take care and be safe 😷. God bless you 🙏🏻🕊xoxo.
Thank you, Miss Claudetta, for sharing your lovely design. Your instructions are so easy to understand. I have already subbed to your channel after watching just this one video☺️. Take care.
Just curious, what was the purpose of doing the row with 3 HD and then 2 HD in one? It was only done on that row. It seems that made it add more stitches and resulted in a wider hand cuff for me.
Love your instructions What color is your nail polish? Did you plan to match the yarn? Thank you for a great pattern and easy to follow instructions Have a Blessed night!
