I follow the manual that comes with the bike, on the bottom of page 39 it clearly states to use the shipping oil to run the bike in for the first four hours before changing it.
Yes it would to just ride around, I am 6’2” and over 100kg and I can ride it. But realistically it’s too small for me. Probably more suited to a teen under 6’. My son is 15 and only weight about 50kg and it’s perfect for him.
ohh thx mike i just want it to ride around the park and stuff and i cant spend 5k for a 230cc kawasaki just to ride around. would u reccomend any bike ??
hi mikes man cave! i was wondering if this bike would suit a 16 year old? also will it last and is it a good quality bike? thanks i hope to hear from u soon!
Well my 16 tear old son owns and rides it so I would say yes, it has lasted so far. Quality?? Well it's a bike you can ride it. Is a Kia the same quality as a BMW or Audi? Clearly not. Can you drive both cars? Clearly yes. So do you want to spend $1500 or $8000 on a new bike?
@@fs-rj2jq No idea, just checked the website and one is $899 the other is $1399, big price difference. They both seem to have the same top speed, same wheel size, I can't see why one costs $500 more than the other. I would contact Thumpstar, they were pretty good when I was communicating with them when we bought the bike.
Hey mate when you first kicked it over did it hold the revs or keep cutting out because I just got one today & each time I kick start it isles like it’s gonna cut out then sure enough dies out, I played with the idle screw & now it’s revving at 3500Rpm, what should I do? Break inn engine before trying to adjust the idle I’m confused.
No I have not had to adjust anything. I am no mechanic but I would warm it up and then adjust idle speed to what feels comfortable. We just use the choke when we start it and then once it’s warmed up it idles fine.
Sounds like yours is running lean, most likely an air leak somewhere. Do these bikes have fuel adjustment screws? Because if so you should try running it richer to see if that helps
I tried that today mate I warmed it up then played around with the idle screw got it to comfortable Rev took it out for a 30min ride just before I got back home it started splattering cutting out & even shot a couple of flames outside the exhaust, I took it back drained the oil to my surprise the oil was completely black & I only got the bike yesterday I put another 700mls of Castrol 10W 40 also forget to mention the spark plug was completely black I changed everything took it around the block & it kept doing the same thing splattering cutting out, I’m so confused I’m only new to the bike scene I don’t know what to do.

Sorry but the operators manual disagrees. Bottom of page 39 it clearly states to use the shipping oil to run the bike in for the first four hours before changing it.
Shipping oil or not whatever oil used to run it in needs changing after first ride because it'll gather minute metal filings from the engine parts seating themselves, so you may as well use the shipping oil. Plus you shouldn't be going over half throttle wearing in an engine anyway so oil temp won't be an issue.
We have not had any issues with our one. Goes well especially with my son riding it. I have ridden it myself and it still flies even with me on it. No break downs or other problems, sounds awesome and cheap for parts as well. Will be filming a few more videos about it shortly.
