Just a heads up...ALWAYS change the oil out that comes in the bike. It's for shipping purposes. Also I wouldn't just start a brand new bike without going over fluids first. Nice bike for the price though.
I saw a video by Motocheez, he says the smoke is the oils that coat the engine parts that are burning away. He says it normal for the first bit of a new bike.
The plastics tank is so it dosnt rust.

Change the carb to a 22 mm with air intake put a 17 tooth front sprocket on it .Red locktite all the bolts...you can get replacement bolts at any hardware store instead of waiting..with the mods you will get close to 70 mph..Enjoy

You need check if you have oil before you start it
Plastic good so it don’t rust inside when sat about because the moisture in the tank will make it rust if it was metal
The plactic tank is better bc. Metal tanks get rust easy while plastic u don't have to worry about that

Plastic gas tanks are better. They don't corrode or dent, which is excellent for an offroad bike.

The motor cylinder is coated with motor oil. So you were seeing that being burned off.
the oil that it comes with is transportation oil, not riding oil, always change the oil before starting or riding

Just so you know, you should never start these Chinese bikes with the oil they come with. It’s usually vegetable oil to prevent rusting. Replace the oil before first start

You know what I meen most all new bikes have plastic tanks and I think Apollo only makes medal tanks is because its cheaper the a new plastic tank believe it or not.
The oil it comes with is storage oil only not engine oil it tells you to change oil before you start it or you void warranty
Always check the oil b4 starting, the plastic parts I'm sure are recyclable just like plastic bottles just for humor.

just so you know plastic gas tanks are better then metal. metal gas tanks are more susceptible to condensation, metal sweats and rust. plastic doesn't condensate or rust so no issues.
Come with break in oil u should allways put fresh oil after u start to run

Tanks are all plastic on hondas/yamahas and other name brand dirt bikes and have been for almost 30 years. Metal tanks rust and dent really bad.
What size were the bolts for the handlebars, I just got mine yesterday and it was missing both bolts. I don’t want to have to wait weeks to get the bolt from kms so I plan on heading up to the store and find it my self thanks guys

Im no expert but... the oil that comes in those bikes are like shipping oil so soon as you get those bikes you should change the oil.

Can you order a metal gas TANK or will the RFZ gas TANK fit. Love the bike but that plastic gas tank just kills it for me if there is a metal gas TANK option i will definitely be ordering this bike instead of the Apollo 125 RFZ ordering a bike by the end of this month.

the other handle bar bolt was the black one in the parts bag lol
That that smoke is the protective oil layer in the piston just let that oil burn off
