Hi Roger, found your channel yesterday and went fishing today for the first time ever (with some prawns and a borrowed rod). Had plenty of nibbles and even caught an eel of the rocks, your knowledge has been invaluable for a beginner like me. Thank you for all of the effort that you have put into these videos.

Hi, I enjoy that you show "ordinary" fishing 🎣.
It interests me that you appear to cast left handed and wind in right handed. Do many people do it this way? 🐠

You should try eating Pike one day. Once you clean them, the smell disappears and you are left with beautiful white fillets. Seriously! No bloodline to cut out and very mild tasting.
I've caught plenty from the exact spot you're fishing in this video but only ate my first one as a challenge from a mate.

One of those knee-height waves is all it takes mate. It can force you to take a step back you hadn't planned on, step into a crack and twist your ankle, next thing you know you're getting scraped across barnacles and entering the water panicked, shocked and hurt with the sun going down. A lifejacket makes no difference to those aspects of the situation you may find yourself in. I speak from experience and a lifetime of fishing.
    Happy fishing.
