    EDIT: Just wanted to note that Blind is considered a poison until patch 2.3.0 where it becomes a physical debuff, so Stoneform will no longer remove it after that patch, nerfing the racial.

    One thing to note about Ret Paladin, based on the BiS gear (assuming the guide I found is accurate and my information is correct) you will reach expertise cap in that gear. However, you won't reach hit cap and will need to get to hit cap using quite a few gems that split between Strength and Hit. However, going with Draenai that extra hit would permit you to trade out some of those gems for pure strength gems.
    Granted, this all depends on you get your Sunwell BiS that have expertise.

    Draenei hunters give their pet heroic presence too thus making them the best choice for alliance

    • @Namkenator
      @Namkenator 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I get sick of nerds d!ck-riding night elves for best hunter race. The 1% hit can be replaced on gear for MORE than the base 8-9 agility plus like you said pets in the group (hunter/warlock/elementals) get the 1% too which is a MASSIVE portion of a BM (best pve) hunter's damage. Not to mention you can help heal making a Draenei not only the superior DPS but also in utility.

  • @TheRosswise
    @TheRosswise 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Your math for rating Night Elves the best PvE Hunter race is wrong. 9 agility would give 6.42 crit rating, not 2.2% better chance to crit (maybe at level 1 it does). It takes around 22 crit rating to equal 1% chance to crit at level 70. Big difference.

    • @NorNamor
      @NorNamor 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I kinda noticed that mistake too. It's a known fact that drenai are the best hunters as their passive even give + hit to the pet.

    " Patch 2.3.0 (13-Nov-2007): Blind is now a physical (no longer a poison) attack. [Reagent] requirement removed. Now shares the same diminish category as Cyclone and is now diminished in PvE as well as PvP. Previously blind was a nature attack like poison"

    Draenei hunter should be best for PVE, 1% hit to party is much more valuable than 8 agility, you can easily tell that judging by different gems.

  • @jamier26

    For your hunter analysis, you’re quoting agility to Crit at level 1. At level 60 it takes a hunter 53 agility for 1% Crit. So the 9 extra agility that night elves get is really only .16% Crit, whereas the dwarf gun specialization is a full 1% Crit.

    • @killybillygr
      @killybillygr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is not any good gun in tbc if you gonna do PVE even if you get the one from Big Bad Wolf boss you replace it instantly from Prince Malchezar after that there are only bows that are worth using for dps all guns from t5/t6 bosses are for warrior tanks mainly.

    Shadowmeld gives 5 levels of stealth (2.5 talent points worth), which is equal to the 5 detection levels from perception. NE druids and rogues should have a large advantage in pvp openers vs. non-human counterparts, and about an even footing with humans due to the fast paced openers at higher rating. For example, a NE with the 5/5 deception and vanish buff literally cannot be seen unless the enemy's model is overlapping the rogue's model as the stealth level is so high. Smeld also allows for stealthed drinks as a priest as you can fall out of combat in the duration of your fear (great for removing lock/hunter pets to drink). Smelding did not break drinking until the Wrath patches.
    Gift of the naaru is a great way to juke kicks as a shaman since it is a holy spell, just as starshards is a great way to juke a kick in vanilla as it is arcane (though instant cast is probably all around better).
    Do these make the NE race better than counterparts in pvp? That's to be debated, but it is a sizable consideration.

  • @Ghalion666
    @Ghalion666 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Expertise also reduces your chance of being blocked on top of dodge and parry, and every non humanoid can block IIRC. I think the human expertise talent makes them the best tank not just because of threat, but parry reduction is a kind of mitigation in of itself since parries speed up boss/enemy swing timers.
    Also I have no idea, I remember hearing it back in the day but people didn't really know much back in the day. But I could have sworn that people calculated that base stats prior to wearing equipment don't affect your stats as much. They are just some kind of bogus throwaway number. So I'm not sure if the higher Agi on a NE actually calculate like that. That's just what I remember hearing though, I wasn't really convinced of it to be honest, nor did I ever check to see if true.

    • @Klaital1
      @Klaital1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I don't think the expertise racial is that big of a deal since anyone can get to expertise soft cap with gear anyways.

    while it may not be taken into account because it relies on another class to support you, the human racial human spirit is +10% spirit in TBC, and a priest can take a talent that turns 10% of ur spirit into spell power, in TBC early on you have about 150 spirit, +10% from your racial boosts you to 165 spirit, the talent turns ur 165 spirit into 16.5 spellpower, making the human racial give you 1.5 spellpower

    You only get .552 crit rating per point of agility and 1 Attack power per point of agility. It's 22.1 crit rating for 1% of crit. So an NE would get 28 attack power and 15.456 crit rating which is not 6% crit. Draenei get 20 Attack Power 1% Hit and 11.04 Crit Rating. That is one Red Gem Difference between NE and Draenei where Draenei get the equivalent of three yellow Gems worth of Hit and apply it to the entire hunter group. Alliance will need at least 1 Draenei hunter.

    You are Wrong with PVE mages human is far better than gnome due to 10% spirit it is not Vanilla that you kill a boss in 2-3 minutes Illidari council goes from 10-15 mins with top geared people most of the Mount Hyjal fight you wont have that much time to sit and drink during thrash pulls as waves keep coming Sunwell fights are all time consuming like Felmyst Kalecgos Twins Muru those take time and mana is an issue there also if you are planing to play arcane (usually 1 per raid ) Mana would be an issue. Also Human priest 3rd place? 10% spirit with t5/t6 gear is 100 extra spirit that is Huge for healing or dps. As i mentioned before mana issue is a problem in tbc for most parts it's not like raiding 10-25 mans without any gear equiped as people do in Vanilla.

      @@DaFunkz I didn't play this game since mid Wotlk, but back in the days as exclusively Alliance player I agree, Horde raciall's are better and OP(Wotf for example) and it's not an issue here, but Stoneform at begining was way way OP, another level of OPness.
      Instead of OP version of Stoneform, imho from balance PoV, I would rather see Wotf being nerfed, as being Wotlk version...or Dwarf priest fear word should be theirs only and not given to every priest across the board.

    Humans are so underestimated it sickens me. 10% more spirit for pve and diplomacy and in pvp u have perception in arena and more mana regen from the spirit so i think this whole priest part in this guide is wrong.

    • @ahnhee4131
      @ahnhee4131 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perception is trash bro.
      U will get opened 99/100 with percep on you. It can be bit better with eng head and warlock buff but still not gamebreaker at all.
      Dwarf can clear antiheal, instahealurself then root ennemy for 2sec.
      But humans have sick animation. The only reason rolling human in tbc is for animations.(and reput)
      Edit: percep is "good" only as rogue to spot ennemy rogue.
      And i guess as ally rogue u dont wanna be a midget or pucyelf.
      Also if ur a pveboi extra expertise is nice as dps. For tank still "better" to go dwarf for bosses mechanixs.
      Humans arent trash. They arent good. But still, coolest animations in game.

    Gnomes shouldn't be able to be warriors, I have thought this since 2004. How does it make sense that a class that requires brute strength and toughness has no restriction but standing back shooting a gun and owning a pet is? If they made this change for classic TBC (they wont, but I can dream) the tears and anger would just be delicious.

Lets see you do it, would be out of breath just putting on plate armor much less fighting in it.

      ROFL. Classic is already long destroyed. WB abuse, uneven populations on almost every server, ranking mafias, and Blizzard does changes to things that didnt need it (nerfing AV for underpopulated alliance) butr doesnt make changes where needed (removing WBs) Some changes are needed and I hope they make good changes.

    So so wrong... please do your research before making these types of videos... 8 agility is not +2.27 increased critical chance. That is at level 1. The higher level, the more agility required to increase critical chance. At level 70, 40 agi is required for 1% crit, so you're looking at a 0.2% increased chance of critting.
    Also the fact that you just realized this video that ranged weapon skill in classic isn't very significant shows us that you really don't know too much about the game...
    Edit: spelling

    • @marcoswillianl
