Professions are the last big thing that I want to cover, but I'm going to wait until we have more details as there's too much patch-dependent stuff up in the air right now. Great overview - just wanna add that bloodelf rogues get a decent energy upfill through the racial and a situationally very handy aoe silence which might be very useful in arena pvp.
I understand they will release TBC on the last patch and the original stats for all bosses (no refs will be done) but they will release the raids in 3 phases
Isnt it funny how we all KNOW the tbc classes and races?... Yet nothing beats listening to Madseasons smooth voice

Seeing the TBC character creation screen brings back old memories from when I was 8 or 9 and started playing WoW for the first time :')
That would you rather for the warlock at the start is too real. Half the horde are undead, the other half are damn warriors, fear might as well just be a cosmetic spell in pvp.
I went Alliance Warlock because Alliance of course, for Classic and learned quickly PvP was impossible.

I want to play TBC again but then i remember that rogues get cloak of shadows... Flying helps in avoiding them but that class is just 2 much cancer imo.

Yes I started in tbc, was dwarf rogue. Used to win all duels, unless it was an arms warrior that was equally good as using their class. Hit a dodge near the end of the fight and get one shot xD

When I was a kid in vanilla I used to stack as much spirit as I could on my troll hunter while leveling because I thought it would make me be able to tank mobs without worry
I stacked stamina as a disc priest over spirit and resilience 🤣
Every time I find myself burnt out on wow; MadSeasonShow always seems to make a new video and it gets me right back up into the fray :)

Surprised you didn't start off with, do ya wanna ride an Ostrich or an Elephant.
I'll be real I remember being very mad that the alliance got elephants back in 07. But all things considered every base horde mount was cooler than half the ones they had. I also liked their sci-fi leveling zone way more than the blood elf darnassus recolor. Ghostlands was decent but felt like a mix between WPL and alliance duskwood. The only thing that made it fun was leveling up with 4 other paladins like a crusade to take back the holy land.
@@pokeman5000 Calling it a "darnassus recolor" is a joke. They have completely different architecture and the zones feel very unique, (ghostlands might be a bit rehashy but fighting scourge that early is kinda cool).

One note about night elf druids - they can use shadowmeld while shapeshifted in TBC whereas in Classic they can’t.

Using Diablo 2's ACT 1 Town Soundtrack for the review of the undead race is pure genius. I love your videos @MadSeasonShow.
The smooth voice turns out to be really fitting for this overall video IMO. (Slightly whispering style). How the different stuffs in the video come together is well done. Such as zooming in slowly , step by step pictures for the explanations, etc.
Good job! If you need some critical feedback: Perhaps adding a few chapters via yt function. (it's good for when you lost track,or were occupied for a minute or two somewhere else)
Keep on showing just stuff that you talk about - that's a core part of high quality video making IMO. (with few exceptions such as introduction perhaps)
Self notice: 26:10 priests and paladins - i had to watch this one twice as I didn't know what it was about at first.
A couple points about draenei, their racial HoT does scale with spell or healing power from what I've seen online. Also the fact it has a cast time can be useful if you're a caster in pvp situations. You can try and bait a kick/counterspell into the racial to keep your other magic schools open.
Would that not lock you out of holy spells tho? People will not bother to kick it if you are not paladin or priest. Also, don't trust stuff you learn from people online. Remember how many things the private server scene got wrong about classic?

Druids in animal form are considered beasts in terms of beast slayer racial's 5% dmg boost if I remember correctly, they can even be feared by scare beast and seen on the minimap with beast tracking

Started playing wow a year before WOTLK was released, Didn't get to experienced BC at all so excited to come back to play one of the best games ahead of it's time
I love this video! I think shadow guard needs a tiny bit more love though, because (just like lightning shield) if you remember to cast it right before you drink (or like 20 sec before you get in a fight) then its damage per mana spent ratio is the highest in the game at 0 mana spent. So its free damage! You could think of it like "this ability reduces every mob or player youll ever fight's health by x for free with no global". Though its a tiny chore to keep casting but i suppose you could make a macro that includes it somehow.
Blizzconline statements confirmed that paladins will get both faction specific seals, but the cross-faction one only becomes available at max level.
I've played WoW for so many years, and never knew that Priests had unique spells for each race. And now I'm thinking of making a third Draenei for that Priest ability lol
I loved Seal of Vengeance during TBC as a human paladin. I leveled as holy, and it scaled very well with spell damage. When I switched to protection, it was great to spread that DoT around for increased threat on multiple mobs. I never played retribution during TBC, so I never knew how much worse it was, but it worked great for PVE.
Shadowguard is super undervalued, speaking from playing a troll priest in classic in pvp.... Shadow guard out shines devouring plague because of how little of a mana cost it has. With spell power it's so much dmg that can keep being reapplied. Idk how many times my blackout has proc'd on a rogue trying to jump me because my shadowguard ticked! Great video btw!

Don’t know if you said but it the troll racial beserking is not just good for auto attacks but also casting so it can come in handy for all casters to get in an extra heal or or damage spell off
TBC is gonna be amazing and hilarious. People complaining about 15 minute dampener games in Slands havent seen arenas going on until server crashes on TBC private servers rofl. Regardless, I'm so excited to play it again and make guides to help the community get a better grasp of what to pick for whatever aspect of the game they wish to play. :) Love the vid Mad, keep it up
I have no choice but to play BE, as i wanna be horde paladin. So I clicked on this video just to hear that sweet, sultry voice of yours.
I doubt THAT many people were still on dial-up in 2007 but it was a funny joke and good point nonetheless. DSL and cable were somewhat primitive at that time as well. Oddly enough when I tried dial-up on laptops, nothing could disconnect it. People would try to call and it wouldn't get through. I suspect either disconnecting is a feature of external modems or certain landlines which is not the type of landline we had but of course ours was still analog until we finally discontinued it and got VOIP with our cable internet as well as switched away from DSL. Also, admittedly I have mained an orc lock since Classic vanilla because orcs are my favorite fantasy and overall WarCraft race and lock seemed like a cool and useful class but this is very informative overall.

I'm rolling warrior for PvP and I'd say this:
- Night elf if you wanna be a badass charging people in battlegrounds from the shadows (super effective at guarding flags in AB)
- Gnome if you hate mages and wanna improve that matchup.
- Undead if you hate warlocks (berserker rage removes fear but not charm, which makes UD good vs warlock but meh against priest)
- Tauren if you want an overall good race. The stun is good in most scenarios, the extra hp is nice and the extra attack range is cool for bigger whirlwinds in battlegrounds.

Never noticed that before, but looks like Blood Elves are the first WoW race who can't be warriors. In vanilla WoW, every single race could be a warrior.
Shadowguard + Blackout is amazing. Been great for me in Classic.

Something not mentioned is how much better music is in the horde zones. Just hearing it in this video makes you realize how much better music is if you choose horde (and yes I play with music on mostly). But I felt like I had better community experiences on the Alliance side, so I'm tempted to go alliance in BC. I just wish their music didn't suck.

yeah they count as beast when they shapeshift, hunters can fear them using "scare beast".

Since orc racial also reduces healing taken you can use it to remove all 5 stacks of the healing reduction poison. This makes it easier to remove the slow poison and makes the rogue have to apply all 5 stacks again

Blizzard announced during BlizzConline, that Paladins on both factions will get Seal of Blood (and Seal of Vengeance).
Female Blood Elf will be BiS for making gold.
Gotta get that thirsty simp money while mailbox dancing, because how else am I supposed to make gold when bots will monopolize most gathering nodes.
Might as well roll Mage while you're at it, selling bath water for extra buck.

I can condense this... Pick what you prefer! (00) Seriously it's that simple. Read the description try to understand the racial perks in case it effects your decision it rarely does, we are visual creature (^0) and then pick your preferred race. :P
Not completely happy after hit level 15 or 16, pick another race. You're not limited to one character you can have many and a favourite will emerge from the characters you have.

One thing not mentioned here, Holy paladins in pvp benefit a lot from seal of vengueance, as it can help a lot on the damage. I used to spec as a shockadin back in the day and made 2s with another shoka, we could stack 10 of those sov stacks, the damage was insane, we got to 2k rat on 2s.
