I planned on just watching a couple minutes of this out of morbid curiosity and so that it would be on my watch history to finish later (because heck if I’ll be watching a 3 hour vid in one sitting), but um… I’m 25 minutes in and don’t want to stop watching at this point for some unknown reason. 😂 Side note: The Maw and Korthia aren’t “bad” in a vacuum. They’re looked back upon poorly because that’s literally all we had to do for endgame open world progression for over a year, and couldn’t use mounts for most of that time. So people who played a lot just saw nothing but the same dingy spikey depressing visuals for hours every week for ages. Sure, now you can go back with a mount and 1-shot everything and you’re not stuck there, you can leave whenever and do plenty of other endgame open world stuff. But Dragonflight is SUCH a breath of fresh air from what we endured during SL’s first few iterations (9.2 was fun, imo).
I feel what you're saying! I haven't experienced what players did back then, and I do know that Korthia specifically was so bad at launch. Oh well! DF definitely feels good, and it seems like it's only gonna get better with TWW hopefully! Oh and I hope you enjoyed the video. ^^
lol right, I am still trying to get one of the red mount from silithus and have been playing this game on and off since he first released. I have spent days farming that mount at a time and still don't have it. I have farmed Kara since it released on multiple toons and still don't have that mount :(

I stopped due to last 2 years of high school). only collecteed 150 mounts but looking forward to extending my collection!
I started playing WOW around a year ago but only played for like 2 months before I stopped. I came back for 10.2, and started seriously going after mounts and grinding to get AOTC, and at this point, I have gotten AOTC and have 186 mounts after only a month of playing again!

Hey my friend, you are a hero! I started farming mounts seriously in SL S2. I never really cared about mounts until this point. But since my goal for the season had been reached and I didn't know what else to do, I started farming mounts out of boredom because I had always thought about it! It's never too late to start! I started with the ingame Counter 137 in my collection. Now as of today I have 639 there! I now love farming mounts! And I keep farming because there are still so many mounts that I don't own! :D Keep it up buddy and have lots of luck in the future!
I'm in a similar position to you, I started the game on August 2022 and as of today I have 642 mounts, 1652 pets, 771 toys and over 35k achievements. I think we're in a very fortunate position that we have a massive amount of old content we can farm for easy collectables and catch up to older players.
My man, grats on this amazing feat and thank you for recording it, I will look at this video many times for inspiriration and which mount to go after. Hoping to reach 500 by the end of the year.
I normally love your videos, but this series REALLY glosses over a lot of the grinds. Being max rep with Sibellian and Wrathion right from the get-go? Suddenly having 5,000 anima on a fresh character to spend on a mount? That stuff takes a LOT of time to grind out. I would much rather hear about the planning stages than just have it pop up "oh, by the way, I spent the last several weeks getting to exalted with these 10 different factions...anyway..."
At that time I was focusing on dragonflight content... I was still at 0 progress in other expansions. You need less than a month to reach max friendship if you do the dailies and weeklies, which barely take some time. Concerning the anima, half an hour in Zereth Mortis is enough to gather around 3k just by looting rares and treasures. If I wanted to explain every single step and every single move I made, the video would've passed the 5 hour mark.
Welcome back! :D All I can tell you is to take your time digesting all the new stuff, and enjoy every step of your farms. Time will pass by very quickly and you will eventually reach your goals!
also last november i was just going around Ulduar farming some ore and stuff, and i look up and see the Time lost proto drake just right above me, i was just speechless that i got it and also happy that i never have to think about that mount ever again

Yes! I was gathering alot. It was very profitable at that time, specially the rousing order farm. I'm pretty sure it still is, but not as close to what it once was.

44:09 Deathrunner isn't everyone's first mount you create with Protoform Synthesis. It requires a drop from Lihuvim in the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid in Zereth Mortis, which has about a 6% drop rate.
True, I kinda missed mentioning the fact that you get the first Lihuvim reagent for free and that you can save it for another mount, but I guess most players just use it immediately if they're not planning ahead!

I've always wanted the two green phoenixes (Felfire Hawk and Frenzied Feltalon) but I'm only around 160 now. How did you go about managing your time and planning out which mounts you're going for and when? This all seems very methodical having one character per region working at the same time it's very cool
The plan that I put was working on the last 3 expansions but progressively, and so with shadowlands, every day I was doing callings, grinding Venari rep, working on the covenant features, and attempting as many rare drops as I could (like Nerissa), after I was done with Venari, I unlocked Korthia, and after collecting a decent amount of Korthia mounts I headed over to Zereth Mortis (which I'm still not done with lol). After collecting everything from the night faes, I changed to Necrolord, rinse and repeat! In BFA same case, went through the patches in order, so when I was done with mechagon and nazjatar (took around 3 months), I started with the visions of Nzoth grinds, and the same thing for Legion, I was focusing on the paragon mounts at first, so I tried not to skip any emissary, and when I was done with that I turned my focus into the Argus drops. And everything that's weekly I always kept it for the weekends, so that I give my all to the dailies, with the time I had during weekdays!

I would've been a millionaire in the game if I did that farm every day... I was just explaining how I was able to buy some stuff from the store through purchasing tokens.
It would be nice if I could spend a year doing nothing but farming mounts, especially when you consider that mounts are just reskins of other mounts. That's literally all they are. All your doing is farming mounts, because you like the look of a particular mount over another mount. Otherwise, they all do the same job. When I levelled my Evoker, I ended up just using the Evokers natural flying ability and a Tundra Mammoth to repair my gear with and to get around town on. That's all I've been using lately. At least the Tundra Mammoth has some functionality to it, which is why it's my favourite ground mount.
At first i used to farm the vespoids around 63 56 (around where Feasting spawns) cause i wanted to get all the vespoid lattices that i needed, since they were the only reagent that was kinda expensive on the acution house. So I was passively getting the motes from them. But later after I got the lattices, i just farmed the mobs that come out of the portal next to where the Engulfer spawns.
Nice video.. But nobody can get 500 mounts in a year.. maybe if u don't eat don't sleep our going out.. (outside of wow ) it takes time to lvl up a char then to open up all zone's u need to do alot of questing, then also to get a higher renown lvl also that takes alot of time.. even months.. u'r video is fun to watch but I know for sure u never got this inside a year.. also farming money also takes time.. and only mining ll not bring u to 200k per day lol.. but like i said great video though ;)
Zereth Mortis is the f worse zone in all WoW. It so disconnected from the game. It doesn't even feel like WoW. The first time I went to that place... No. Trash. I gave up on the game that time.
This is cool and all but this is fundamentally what's wrong with WoW right now. Mounts used to be meaningful, memorable and even status symbols. Now there's so many mounts and so many that look cool that none of them are special anymore. This is just proof WoW needs a hard reset.
Not a WoW specific problem. People just buy achievements in games these days through boosters, so nothing really matters. The only status symbol mount I would say currently exists is Taivan because it is a unique model you get from fully completing the expansion and you can't buy it from boosters.

you just heal her once or twice to full health and u finish the fight and you get the achiev! she won't even have time to spawn portals

Zereth Mortis is the f worse zone in all WoW. It so disconnected from the game. It doesn't even feel like WoW. The first time I went to that place... No. Trash. I gave up on the game that time.

95% shite looking mount
This is cool and all but this is fundamentally what's wrong with WoW right now. Mounts used to be meaningful, memorable and even status symbols. Now there's so many mounts and so many that look cool that none of them are special anymore. This is just proof WoW needs a hard reset.
Not a WoW specific problem. People just buy achievements in games these days through boosters, so nothing really matters. The only status symbol mount I would say currently exists is Taivan because it is a unique model you get from fully completing the expansion and you can't buy it from boosters.
