btw you dont wanna keep the spellfire set until T6. Go deep fire (with spellfire) or frost until you got two pieces of T5, then switch to arcane. If you have to replace some of your crafted items, try to replace the spellfire set, since it only has arcane/fire spelldamage (for mana leeching phases when you are spamming frostbolts).
I'm still gonna do what I always do. Fire spec with blast wave, dragon's breath and improved flamestrike. Why let warlocks go wild with seed when I can go wild with flamestrike!
I think it will be surprisingly cheap to get all the crafting mats after 2 weeks. The really sweaty people obviously pay a lot but especially with boosts the amount of tailoring/alch alts is going to be insane.
i went Firespecc in TBC with 2/3 imp. Blizz and it works fine. Frost sucks - only when i farm primal fire i miss the frost specc a lil bit. but the dmg with fire is broken
gonna try and sell the fire set mats to rich people then buy or re farm it a month later when hopefully its calmed down and doesn't cost a arm and a leg
Did you check what you put on there? In the video you seem to be on a WotLK private server or a server with tbc, where all magic schools have already been converted to spelldamage ... would say the guide needs a revision. Head and pants are right as far as there are no magic schools on it, but on the robe hands and belt that you make you only have the spell damage on it which was / came to wotlk or a very late tbc patch. So the Spellfire set would be for fire / arcane magicians / fire warlock / boom-kins and the Frozenshadoweave set for frost / shadow magicians / warlocks / shadow priests. @MetaGoblin
Been playing Arcane Mage since 2005 on and off and yet, every shitty warrior tank with their anal bead dps meters addon, trying to give me shit for not having Improved Blizzard. Where the hell does it say that every mage MUST be Frost ? Especially one that couldn't care less about raiding. It's happened 3 times since e got Classic and it gets annoying, NOTHING gives a player the right to criticize how the other person is playing, we play as we like, since we all pay subscription. Oh and i LOVE using wands since i've added talent points in it. Maybe Frosties have better blizzard and Fire mages have better Flamestrike but Arcane mages have better Arcane Explosion, one AoE for every spec, i don't understand why everyone is so stuck with Frost. The game offers diversified spells and talents for variety.

Once again, the game offers variety, fuck the stereotype shit.
problem is that arcane is just flat dmg where frost slow effect aids to raid with kiting etc aswell as frost nova, while there isn't anyting wrong with you playing how you want (by all means go for it!!) the dudes you encouterd are min maxers who wanne top charts, wouldn't be botherd by them tbf, you do you!

I prefer fast damage to kill something before it even gets close enough to hit me. Besides, the description on the Arcane Talents reads : Damage. :) As for the minmaxers or retail morons, i couldn't care less, it's just impressive how deep the kids get into games to take things so seriously. Not everyone cares about raiding and least of all, me :)
getting rid of peoples gold will only slow things down temporarily.. people/bots/gold sellers will do exactly the same thing they did in classic from day 1 of tbc like pickpocketing BRD ect. I would like a gold reset too but tbh its not gonna happen and if it does it wont make a difference within a month
They shouldnt reset the economy. Thats just a temporary effect and fucks players that farmed honestly and fair up the arse, dry. Why not introduce a "money sink" like the yak that came in pandaria? Just something cosmetic like a fancy ass extra special nether drake? It basically has nothing but aestethic value, and people sink their money for it -> extracting it from the games economy.

I’m personally going to get it but it is going to get mostly all replaces in tier 5. Except for Spellstrike leggings which doesn’t require tailoring because you no longer use the set bonus.

people were raiding kara in t3 because the items from karazhan have bin super shitty at the beginning of tbc. the stats got buffed with a later patch. expect the upcoming classic tbc server to have the 2.4.3 itemization
Good video, but i gotta say i disagree with imp blizz. Played a mage throughout tbc in both retail and on private. Most pulls are easily done with a sheep and a proper tank. Overall mages are useless in 25m, you really want 1, max 2
I disagree a bit with this comment : it is true that a sheep is possible for safe run, however imp blizzard is for big aoe rep runs and will be insane coupled with prot paladin and other aoe (mage/warlocks)
There is no way the 3 set tailoring gear will be 10k or more. N if it is, its not even worth buying. Phase 1 content is too easy to justify that much gold for a little increase over other epics

Mage still strong for farming and making gold in BC? I'm debating whether to level my mage up to 60 then 70 when BC comes out just as an alt and money maker.
dont show up to dungeons without blizzard slow, lol. frost really isn't neccessary if your group does dmg and the mage does high dmg, also considering fire gives plenty of slows that are effective by the time they're dead. only thing you need improved blizzard for is very large packs, which isn't what you were showing.
level multiple alts now (with tailoring) and when tbc launches get them to the minimum required for learning the cloth cds and you cut your grind down significantly.
Imagine claiming it will take 2 months to craft the spell cloth needed for your set and not even considering the fact that many of us mages have 3-5 tailor alts already prepared at lv 300 skill lol. The only hard thing will be farming up all the primals as the areas will be super contested.

They're weak compared to the other classes later in TBC. They are good AoE farmers, but they wont be allowed in sunwell. So if you want to raid to sunwell, don't pick mage.

They're weak compared to the other classes later in TBC. They are good AoE farmers, but they wont be allowed in sunwell. So if you want to raid to sunwell, don't pick mage.
look up sunwell runs they always have 1-2 mages in there

It will be shitty experiense if these unrealistic amount of gold flows in new game.
I am not telling that Equipment should be reseted because people worked id hard and they deserve to use theyr armor in new patch as should they able to use theyr 60 lvl character, but gold transfer will bring disaster. think wide.
