Historically, Stroll is much better than most paying drivers....Latifi and Mazepin two recent examples.....This year, Logan Sargent is clearly less good, and I would compare Stroll favorably to a few others as well (Tsunoda, Hulk, Zhou)...unfortunately driver competency is very hard to compare across different teams/cars, so this whole discussion can only be subjective.
Good interview, if not a lil late...Silverstone was in July. Fascinating to see the team that seems to have the most fun, being so dominant this season. Even with the field being so close! Kudos to Red Bull for getting it right!

Oracle Red Bull has the best in race strategy in he sport, it won them more races than the cars or drivers because other teams ie Ferrari is fundamentally the worst. AMG are good strategist as well.
It's very simple - Horner is the best ever F1 manager because he is the only manager (axept Enzo Ferrari), who was also a racing driver.. That's why he knows best what the driver needs in each moment and that's why he does always the best to supply his drivers the best car
Those drivers 100% got there on talent, but it took a fortune plus their talent before they ever saw a paycheck. There is no way to make it cheaper. I have been a part of a karting team for a few years now on the national level, and it takes a small fortune to compete at the top. You can certainly compete at a local club level on a reasonable budget, but that is as far as it will take you.

Ignore intent. Contest everything out of your favor and accept every opportunity in your favor, even at the expense of integrity. Toss aside honor and encourage recklessness. Treat your drivers like they're expendable. 😡
As a Las Vegas local I have to say this F1 was incredibly disappointing. 9 months worth of road closures, detours, and construction delays was just WAY too much for a predictable and lackluster race track. Yeah it went through the strip but, they basically just drove straight the whole time with 1 or 2 somewhat exciting turns. I’m new to F1 so I was initially excited for this event, but the amount of money and time spent, and inconvenience it’s caused locals and tourists just was absolutely not worth it.
I think you need to give it a chance. It’s the first year so obviously it was going to be a major inconvenience, I don’t know how that’s not logical to you. Look at Monaco now, setting it up now is incredibly fast and I’m sure next year it’ll get easier and faster for everyone.
Look, Las Vegas need this right now, you may feel that and your right, but we don't want Las Vegas to die. And it is having a hard time right attracting people. It wasn't like before were it was a given. Younger generations don't gamble like the Boomers and party like the Gen Xers.
"Get an OP car like Mercedes did that is faster than everyone else's and then just win over and over." It's boring to watch now. Verstappen wins almost every time because his car is fastest. Hamilton won so much for the same reason. Schumacher too. Cars win races not so much the driver. "Both cars on our team are the same" no they're not. One is faster. Look at Russell. Almost dead last with Williams, jumps into Hamilton's car and almost wins, only losing due to an awful pit strategy. Hamilton's car has been poor the last few seasons so hasn't won. Don't tell me drivers win races. Cars do. It's the only reason Red Bull are winning.
There is no way of telling if they even gained an advantage due to the cost cap breach though. In the end they spent about 400k more than allowed and who knows where that went. If your cars get damaged due to no fault of your own should that come out of your budget? It would mean that someone crashing you out would give them an advantage since you had to pay more in damages. So could their overspend be attributed to someone else damaging their cars? And then there's the possibility of their penalty losing them more than they gained. They just did a better job than their competitors did that's why they dominate, accept it and move on.
