  • While I was in Isfahan, I learned about the Armenian quarter in the center of the 3rd biggest city in Iran. Since I will never be able to go to Armenia with my passport, I allowed myself to go to this part of the city for the experience and visit Armenian church.

Exactly! You pointed it perfectly. It is called Geocentric concept of national identity...and I'm sorry to say, people from N. Azerbaijan, Turkey or Armenia cannot understand this point due to their ethnocentric view.

@@maryamaghaian393 Ethnocentric mindset is institutionalized in both N. Azerbaijan and Armenia (not Iranian Armenians). This brainwash through a childhood indoctrination, a fake sense of ethnic identity on Turkish/Azerbaijani side (only because they speak a Turkic language, they think they are ethnically from mid Asia! including Ataturk, a blue eyed blonde guy! That's obviously ridiculous), and religious fanaticism on both sides.
Armenians from Armenia and Turks/N. Azerbaijanis ate 2 sides of the same ethnocentric coin! Armenians from Armenia think every citizen is or even must be Armenian! Google their parliament and see members last names all ending with -ian! Seriously? no minority representatives? Exactly the same goes for N. Azerbaijanis!
In Iran, being Iranian is above all ethnicities. Turks and almost all former Soviet republics can't get this, because they don't have such a thing!
It's amazing how founding fathers in the United States, a geocentric establishment could foresee and prevent such a situation in the US! Gosh bless America!

The reason you're not able to travel to Armenia with your Azerbaijani passport is that your country: Azerbaijan, has forbidden its citizens from visiting Armenia and it's not vice versa; Armenia does not have any restrictions against Azerbaijani citizens who wish to visit Armenia. In fact, it's worth informing those who don't know that a certain Azeri officer who killed an Armenian fellow officer, in cold blood, in his sleep, decapitating by an axe, in a dormitory, in Hungary, while on a language learning course: has been extradited from Hungary, by bribe, to Azerbaijan, where he was pardoned by the president and treated as a national hero. @@Marco_Paolo Nice that you were able to check it but it would be even nicer to dive deeper into why this happened. Even tho I clearly do not support killing people especially out of work zones. However, the Armenian fascist mentality that claims supremacy over its neighbors from Azerbaijan and all the massacres they made based on this mentality against the civil population of Azerbaijan in the last 100 years somehow turned against Armenians. Unfortunately, Mr.Harout forgot to mention Zori Baloyan one more Armenian fascist that was proud of killing Azerbaijani children during the first Karabakh war in the early 90th, and he is just one example. Maybe it is also worth checking what Armenians did in Khojali during the first Karabakh war.

Soon after the Iranian Revolution happened the muslims took power and began executing some of the Christians. They replaced some of the school teachers with strict Islamic teaching. One young Christian girl complained in school one day that the teacher was teaching Islam in a class that was supposed to be algebra.
The young girl was taken away to Evin prison and tortured for days. Then she was taken out to a yard, blindfolded, tied to a post, and about to be shot but she was pretty so a muslim man said that if she became a muslim and married him she would live. So she became a muslim and had to marry him. She eventually escaped to Canada.

I can't comment much about shah abbas yet, I don't know all his dealings and Iran at the time
But you are right about everything, I messed up some stuff, but the point is that when those Armenians left from Nakhijevan and other parts like Yerevan - for whatever reason, the area was populated by azeri turks and also because of the fact that Russian empire was closing in, they wanted more Muslim population in the region to fight against Christians
When the first Ottoman massacre starts around 1800s, many realize and start to move out to Russian empire territory of Krasnodar and so on, when the Russians defeat Iranians they allow the Armenians to come back as they rather have a Christian populated front, this is where issues start
Armenians from Iran/Ottoman empire come back and things flare up, but because Russian empire controls them, its ok, Russians basically allow Armenians to get back what's theirs for their own reasons of course and create azerbaijan as a state/province for turkic/tatar/muslim people living in the area taking the same name of azerbaijan from Iran, as the province gets divided
The turks of Iran actually do start having issues with Armenians too, not in Iran of course because Armenians don't live in Azerbaijan province of Iran
After the genocide in 1915, more Armenians flee to the eastern Armenia, and turks have more issues with "Armenians" taking over, when in fact Armenians are just fleeing to eastern Armenia basically, in 1918 the new republic of turkey declares war on 1st Republic of Armenia, where Armenians manage to win big battles, azeri turks of course take the turkish side and start to pillage and kill Armenians
Now soviet union comes down and takes azerbaijan then Armenia, the rest is pretty clear after
To say Iranian turks have no issue with Armenians is a lie, because azerbaijan is Iranian turks (the country I mean)
Its a tough situation, but I think land should belong to the rightful people who lived there and had a country first, not migrants, borders should be established properly and there is no reason why Azerbaijan - country has Nakhijevan enclave, and plus wants Artsakh as well and nowadays Syunik region also - I'm not even talking about western Armenia under turkey taken by war and genocide from 1914-1918 periods

Hi Davud, I'm Armenian and I live in Prague like you used to do. Believe me, Armenian people do not want war, and we do not want to see our and your young soldiers dying. You mention in your video you got your lands back. And you make it very clear that for Azerbaijanis this is about lands. For Aemenians the conflict is about human rights, not land. Those Armenians living in NK have the right to live on their ancestral land, to visit their churches and ancestors' graves at local cemeteries, all while living a dignified life where their rights are respected and their culture is not destroyed. If our communities listen to each other, and not just rely on corrupt politicians who only want more power, we'd be able to find a solution. If you want to understand Armenians, you need to look at the conflict as a human rights issue, and not a territorial issue. Armenians living in Armenia and in NK objectively enjoy more freedom and respect for their right than many Azerbaijanis in territories controlled by your government. Noone wants to live under a dictatorship that wants to ethnically clense you. As an Armenian i want to say that i don't view Azerbaijanis as my enemies, i view the Azeri dictatorial clan as my enemies. I do not think that for Armenians the conflict is about human rights. Your vision of the conflict is typical for Armenian politicians, who serve the interests of the big powers. Armenians must bother about human rights in what is called today Armenia. What about the rights of Azerbaijanians? Can you show one single Azerbaijani in Armenia? Over 300 mosques in Armenia and 65 out of 67 mosques in Karabakh were destroyed by Armenians. The stair steps of the Armenian church built in Shusha during the occupation are made of marble tombstones stolen from an Azerbaijani cemetery. All cemeteries in occupied territories were destroyed and the tombstones were sold to Iran as construction materials. Take notice that the war activities went on Azerbaijani lands, not in Armenia.
I do not think that you have the right to talk about human rights and all bla-bla-bla about the dictatorship of the Aliev clan is nothing but worthless propaganda after the shameful defeat in the second Karabakh war. No one raised the issue of human rights over the past 30 years when Azerbaijani lands were occupied and 1 mln people were displaced. I am absolutely convinced that the Azerbaijanis have nothing to talk about with the Armenians. There is only one topic for conversation: recognition of the aggressor and compensation, an official apology to the Azerbaijani people for all the crimes committed against the people and state of Azerbaijan.

Short remind there are still 120.000 Armenian people live in Azerbaijan. Question:How many Azerbaijani live in Armenian now?
There is Armenian church and library in Azerbaijan Azerbaijan.
Question: How many Azerbaijani historical and cultural places are there in Armenia now?
Dude before the place where now called Armenia it was Azerbaijani land. Xlll century according to Peter l resettlement plan, armenian relocated here.
The famous Russian diplomat and writer AS Griboyedov wrote: " The Armenian population was mainly settled in the territories of the Muslim landowners ... they gradually began to push the Muslim population out of the territories. We must also try to reconcile the Muslim population with the difficult situation they are in and convince them that these difficulties will not last long and the Armenians they will not stay permanently in the areas where they are temporarily allowed to live".

Davud, You are a very honest and kind person with a big heart and an exemplary character. I have seen all your videos where you help people for no particular reason. This means that you have a very beautiful and pure soul inside. The good thing you are doing is the reason to learn from you Of course, my mother is from Tabriz and I have Azerbaijani blood in me. I had a trip to Baku to visit my mother because I couldn't go to Iran, and the best place was your city, and my mother didn't have any language problems, but unfortunately, the car I rented was in the wrong place because I was not familiar with the law of your country, so they were taken to the parking lot and a policeman said they will help me get the car back, but he took a lot of money from me, which I later found out that he had used his power to get it back and had not paid any money to the parking lot. It upset me, but I never changed my opinion about the kind people of Azerbaijan
