At the beginning of my trip To Iran, I kept saying "As-salamu alaykum" as a habit from Pakistan and also considering it is the Islamic Republic.
The less I knew it is actually not welcomed by the local people and in some cases could be offending. I do apologize for not knowing better since the beginning.
After a few more Vlogs, I will start using just "Salam" as the short version of "hello". 🇮🇷

      Don't worry. Feel free.😊
      Some rules of thumb:
-All islamic countries use *salam alikoom* .
      -Iran use *salam* .
-Rest of the world has its international language, English: *Hi* , *Hey* , *Hello* ,...👋
      As you know.👍🏻🥰💙🙏🏻💙

Salam, simply meaning “peace” is a shortened version of Assalam Al-aikoum from Arabic peace be upon you. Arabic version itself comes from Shalom Alaikhom from Hebrew of the same meaning. You can use Salam or Dorood (meaning Greetings) as everyday greeting in Erān. Hope this helps 😊

"Asalaamo-Alaykom" (Arabic) is used mainly by Arabs and none-Persian Muslims, in Iran we only say "Salaam" or "Doroud", followed by "Khoobin? or khoob hastin?" meaning "Are you well?"

Iran is definitely not third world country. It might not be as developed as western Europe, but it is much more developed than India. You can find trash in middle of NYC or Philly, but that would not make them third world cities.

Infusion of colours just what I needed to perk me up from COVID in prep for Eid, which is tomorrow. Eid Mubarak Davud, folk in Iran and everyone that is celebrating Eid. This video was way too short Davud, it was so colourful, vibrant and quaint at the same time. Oozes character as for the rubbish it’s not that bad but in comparison to what we our experiencing - we get lots of mattresses fly-tipped! Anyway cheered me up and I’ll think I’ll go for a short walk my first in two weeks, next week we have
a heat wave coming towards us so will have to stay indoors. Speaking of which is it not hot in Iran at the moment? You were asking for Iranian coffee?

This “Dar” means “inside”. It’s different than the Persian word for door“Dar”. And “Band” in this context means “tied” instead of “closed”. The name is referring to the location at which Darband is situated (in a canyon).

Just to let you know you were not well received among iranians because you come across rude and arrogant to them I might add unfortunately you don't bring up great in people which is what you need to make a video interesting to watch , Iranians are amazing people and they are hospitable but I can see they are garded and reserved against you so that's a sign that you didn't make a right connection with people in Iran .
The fact is Turkish girl would have been a right choice in Turkey not in Tehran which that point didn't help you so much ...
The fermented fruits that you called weird its been around for thousands years and I have seen in many other videos that people giving a lot of complements because it's natural and healthy.
I have watched Mark Viens iran s series which has been filmed over 2 weeks in different locations in iran , he was absolutely amazing because he knows how to respect the different culture around the world and make a right connection with people that s why he has 5 million followers.
Please watch it you might learn something

you may be partially right. My guess is that Davud's pony tail hairdo may be non-islamic for someone who looks like one of them esp in a strict islamic country of Iran. I don't think Iranaians in that locale understand the true meaning of weird. But I agree with you the usage of that word may be insensitive to some viewers. BTW, the guy Mark Wiens has a good personality but he eats ten people's food in one sitting and I find totally disgusting esp in these times wherre lot of people are starving and going hungry. To me that is beyond insensitive and down right shockingly disgusting.

Unfortunately most Azarbaijani people are fed a lot of negative propaganda about Iran by the Aliev government. This has roots in the history and has to do with where Azarbaijan belonged to, which is Iran of course. So to stop people from thinking about the past they have induced the people to look down on Iran and made them believe that all Azeri people in Iran are longing to join little Azerbaijan in the north. It's like Mexico trying to belittle the US and thinking that all Americans are longing to join little Mexico.

Not "tashakur" but either "mersi" or "sepas". Tashakur is how you say it in Turkey

No Iranians say tashakor too or kheyli mamnoon. The Turkish language actually has many Iranian words in it which is not surprising seen as it was occupied by the Persian empire for centuries

@@Rezcore-Reelz "tashakor" is a verbal noun, used as a verb only with the axiliary verb "kardan." It is now a simple noun to be used for "thank you." Some non-Persian folks in Iran use it, because they don't know any better when they learn Persian as a second langague

@@TWOCOWS1 well I am Iranian and lived in Iran for 7 years and speak fluent Farsi and tashakor was also used as thank you along with merci and mamnoon. Sepas or sepas gozaram is a more older way of saying thank you but yes that is still used here and there but not as common
