I am no longer in Iran but I am currently editing the next episode in which you will see my travels north to Kashan, Tehran, Kandovan and Tabriz!! Please also note, a few people have misunderstood the part where I talk about skin colour. I included this because some Iranians commented on my last episode saying “the only reason she was shown kindness is because she is white and blonde”. I disagree with this and my whole point is that although I’m aware I am very privileged to have certain liberties, I have seen kindness shown to all kinds of people in Iran. This is the very reason I interviewed the British family in the last episode - to show you travellers with children who might have had a different experience to mine. Please remember, this is not a documentary made by the tourism board. It is supposed to be natural and real, showing the people who come across my path. If I had more time, or if I had a crew helping me, or if I had a film permit to interview people about more issues, I could have made a more in-depth study of this country. But also remember, I was not granted a film permit so I was only legally allowed to film my holiday and the things that happened to me as a tourist on a tourist visa. Thank you for your time and your understanding. 💗💗💗💗 Hope you will come back to watch next episode. 🙏🙏

I am stunned at the beauty of the people. The country itself is beautiful but the people is out of this world. That old man who stopped his bike ride acknowledging her and her camera. The older men singing their kindness away, the husband washing the dishes. I am in love.
I am an Iranian woman living abroad and I would like to thank you for the work you are doing! Your videos and narrations are so beautiful and portray the true image of people! Thank you!
It seems to me anyone who visits Iran is amazed by the warmth ,generosity and friendship of the Iranian people as well as the beauty of the country .It just indicates how the media can manipulate and pervert the truth .No country is perfect but the people of Iran are very nice indeed.I hope one day this country will be free from sanctions and isolation .
This video is immensely beautiful - I cried at the end when those two gentlemen were singing, those voices and those lyrics touched a special place in my heart. I immediately reached to my old friend Amin from Iran (a physicist as well that I met in Berlin) as somehow along the years we lost contact. Thank you Kylie for this experience - for your kindness - for not giving up on your dreams.
Patricia Hurducas Thank you so much, Patricia. I cried while I was filming it and again while I was editing that scene so I’m glad you felt the same emotional response. ❤️❤️❤️
I am a 51 year old American of Mexican descent, born in West Texas. Upon seeing this beautiful documentary of Iran, I couldn't help but literally cry throughout the entire video for it's universal message of peace. I saw the beauty of the Iranian people in this video. While the world may not be perfect, and held together by a fragile fear, nevertheless, there remains dear and precious souls who shine light into this dark world, regardless of religion, creed, or culture. I was so moved by that powerful song "I inhale the scent of the river. And this brings the memory of the kind friend I have". Thank you Kylie for your cherished words: "Can you blame me for dreaming of kindness and friendship?" I too, long for peace in the world. The wounds of my narrative are healed gradually when I see other parts of the world who reach out with kindness and compassion as the people in this video did to Kylie. Thank for this amazing story, Kylie!
The scene with the 14 year old girl was so authentic and heartfelt, had me in tears... And your quote about separating the people of a land and the laws of that same land was so wise... we can and should love each other with more power than the weapons we constantly point at each other... The other startling thing your video made me ponder is the fact that you felt it necessary to include a disclaimer about the injustices you DIDN’t witness... yet, if you went to NYC, you wouldn’t feel compelled to justify your enjoyment, even though the US perpetrates myriads injustices (the gun violence your mentioned, but you could’ve listed our immigration policies, our homeless and drug addiction issues, our racism, the disparity between rich and poor, the obesity epidemic, rampant sexism and sexual harassment, not to mention the endless wars we sponsor and on and on...) . Strange how deep certain prejudices run, people question westerners who enjoy certain foreign countries. I feel this from friends and family because I chose to live and work in China. They are constantly asking me “why” “aren’t you scared?”and “doesn’t the lack of freedom bother you?” ... Yet if I moved to England ( a statistically more dangerous place to live with a similar amount of state sponsored surveillance ) no one would question it... This is why videos such as this are vital in expanding the global discussion and the necessary work of building of deep, cross-cultural empathy... Bravo Kylie! A fantastic piece of journalism...
michaelbmast Your message moved me so deeply. It is a great gift to be so understood and supported by a total stranger across the other side of the world. Thank you for this insightful and humble response, Michael. 🙏💞🌏

Yes, i shed a tear right after watching the clip with the conversation between you and the 14 years old girl.... pure and love between two absolute strangers.
Michael, it feels good to see wise guys like you are still out there. Interaction, dialogue, respect and tolerance are what we need to change the nonsense world politicians made for us. Kylie made it look so easy to change the world, thanks to her sweetness, but in reality it takes a lot. Iranian poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri (1928-1980 from Kashan) says; I don’t know Why some say that the horse is a noble animal, the pigeon is beautiful And why no vulture dwells in any person’s cage I wonder why the clover is inferior to Red Tulip One must wash eyes, look differently to things, words must be washed The word must be wind itself, the word must be rain itself
Hi , I'm a Iranian girl who lives in Germany , today I was home sick and search in TH-cam to watch some videos related to my Homeland and I found your videos by chance , I really amazed by you , the way to represent my country , I got emotional and Cried , you really touched my heart , thank you so much ♥️♥️🌹🌹
I cried when the beautifull gentleman cycling stopped and smiled and acknowledged the lady and then shly got on his bicycle and gently left So much was said about him in those actions and my words don't do justice at all. Thank you for sharing God be with you I will visit into lifetime this county INSHALLAH Love from Africa
we love you IraN not all americans believe the western media about Iran I would love to visit a country with as much culture and history as Iran and videos like this can help all to see how great Iran is.
I traveled to Iran, Qom. Jan 2017, a taxi driver tried to take more then what was fixed price, taking advantage of my less knowledge about Iranian currency. Two young blocks sitting in the same taxi didn't let it happen and told the driver to money back. Nice people
Thank you Kylie! Your videos are beautiful, inspiring, emotional. When I was going to Iran last year my family and colleagues thought I went crazy, they said the last goodbyes to me as they thought I'd get kidnapped or killed in Iran as no one actually knew much about the country. Frankly speaking I was nervous myself but the experience that I got there is life worthy. Beautiful, friendly, hospitable people, stunning nature, food is super yummy. I really wanna come back to Iran some day. Ever since my trip I tell the people around me the truth about Iran, and showing them pictures. We should talk and show that Iran is worth visiting, that it is absolutely safe. Culture, history, beauty of the whole nation should not suffer/get lost or destroyed because of the political arguments and misinformation from the media side. Thanks again for sharing your travel experience! Made me feel nostalgic 😊

My Persian girlfriend and I have watched this video 3 times, each time feeling more connected to the content. You have done a great job communicating to everyday Iranians in such an unbiased manner and we are thankful you shared this experience. Look forward to the next video. Well done! (From Perth Australia)
Baintek thank you so much. I’ve just been replying to some haters who seem to have misunderstood my intentions so your kind words are a beautiful antidote.
I rarely come across such amazing work that leaves me speechless. You have such a kind heart and a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing all these amazing videos and doing your part to make this world a better place.
Yeah same here, but for me this is the first time I've ever seen something so heart touching, emotional, wise and pure in youtube. This video really is a piece of art, and it should be seen everywhere in the world. Thank you Kylie! You are such an awesome, pure and lovely person.
My Grandparents went to Iran and shared similar stories about the kindness and hospitality of the locals. I found the scene with the girl especially compelling. My friends and parents always have foul things to say about Iran but I have always been curious about what life is like there.
I have traveled through out the world both as a private citizen and a member of the U.S. Navy. My experience has shown me that there are wonderful people everywhere and there are evil people everywhere. When you are a tourist, you avoid areas where it is dangerous and concentrate on the history and culture as well as the good people you encounter. Kylie, your films captivate the generosity and kindness of the good people while educating us with the history and culture of the places you travel to. Thank you.
So beautifully done. I’m American and have several Iranian friends who are precious, wonderful people. It’s such a rich culture. I too wish some things were different here in the US and in other countries. By open communication like you’re doing Kylie, we can learn to love everyone and work through our differences. 💗
You the poor mind. Where the hell you came to that conclusion ? The most tyrannical and corrupted political system in the world. The ignorant people who traded a secular system with the most fundamental one.
I usually never comment on videos but wow what a beautiful documentary of your journey through Iran. The culture, the people, the conversations, hope to open other people’s perspective of Iranians. Your cinematography and editing is breathtaking. Thank you for showing us your experience in the lovely country of Iran. I’ll be going there again in a few weeks and am looking forward to really embracing everything that Iran has to give! Thanks again Kylie for this!
I born in Pakistan and lived in England for over fifty years I visited Iran few times and traveled most part of Iran such a lovely polite people best people in the world and I really appreciate you for making this documentary on Iran love you Iranians from England
This summer I had the opportunity to visit Iran for 2 weeks. I can totally relate with your videos. I was amazed by the People, Culture, Architecture and Landscape. The most hospitable country I have ever visited. I never felt unsafe or in danger during the trip! I visited the most beautiful places I've ever been, where it's almost bizarre to not see any foreign tourists.
OMG i Love seeing your videos or iran. It gives me a different and a more authentic perspective. I bet it's risky and/or expansive, but I wanna let you know that I found it a very valuable piece of evidence that iran isn't the crazy nation as portrayed in western media. As a Mexican I'm very interested on iran, as my country Mexico and iran share rich long history of proud people. Afters seeing your second video I was hoping you would do a third one and you have. I hope to see and hear more about iran and hour journey. God bless you for doing something that journalists and politicians can't do, and that is going to iran and seeing the true rich cultural nation.
I am an Iranian and my first trip to Mexico was for the beautiful beaches but then I fell in love with the history, people, natural attractions and the food that I want to see more of Mexico! Already thinking of my third trip to Mexico and this time to Mexico City!
Its not risky nor expenssive, actually very affordable even cheap for tourists because of the crazy inflation of the currency as a result of trump's sanctions. And it's absolutely safe
@@marymod2382 I am glad to hear that you enjoy my country. There's many Mexicos in Mexico, but I know you'll love Mexico city. It's the city tht breaths out life through out all of Mexico. Safe travels and an amazing time. I can't wait to go to Iran myself next year.
@@soureh I am glad to hear that it safe and affordable. But I smile against what the US is doing to Iran's economy. I know if both countries establish stable diplomatic relations both can benefit greatly from one another. But I don't think economic sanctions is going to bring Iran and it's people down to its knees. This is an ancient nation, and a former world super power with rich and complex culture. I know that the Iranian people have live through worst times and circumstances then what they are facing now. They are a tight knitted nation and people. Tis why the US is hesitant to wage war with Iran, it's a veterian of warfare, empire, cultural titan.
Last time I went to this bridge in the video where the men where singing a group of girls where surprising their friend with a birthday cake and one of these old men started singing a birthday song for her and soon all the people around gathered and wished her happy birthday even though they didn't know her. That was such a cute scene!
When isolated in corona, what a joy to travel with you to wonderful countries. May be one day my family and i will go and experience Iran for our selves. Thank you so much
the people most def not but the government does, drugs and food are not sanctioned but its the Iranian government that abusing the situation and raising the prices.
Do not worry, sanctions imposed by coward and cowboys what we deserve not coming from other treatment our right is what we have within not from outsider. Is just the opportunity and priod for others to show true face of themself.
When I am feeling lost in this ugly world, I watch your videos and I am again surrounded in the beauty of life and of the world. love from morocco ,bless you
Hi Kylie, hope you enjoyed Iran. I hope one day i will visit this beautiful country ❤. The corrupt media and the west to blame ,for the hatered of Iran
This brought me to tears thinking about how gracious and how much love is shared from complete strangers and it gives me spiritual hope thank you for sharing this !!!
What can I say...l almost cry,in a good way, those lovely people, families, l wish to pack my bags now. The way you introduced us closer to Iran is amazing, calm video, music is 100%fantastic, you focus on local people a lot, shops, and thats what makes one country for real. Big greetings from Serbian girl
Greetings from Saudia to you Kylie and to my Iranian brothers and sisters. Much love. Your videos brought me to tears, I share your hopes and dreams. Bless your heart. I wish you a safe journey and best of luck.
O Thank you, as iranian in exile that misses his country for almost 26 years, it's very difficult for me to hold my tears when I see my beautiful Iran and my lovely Iranian people. Thank you for your documentary with your beautiful smile and warm voice of yours. Thanks and regards
These two men singing made me cry. So beautiful. It looks so much like Bukhara, Samarkand.. I went there (solo female traveler too) a couple of years ago and when I returned, I researched a bit more and got curious about Iran but figured it wasn't a good idea these days. I was as wrong as the people that told me not to go to Uzbekistan... what I found there were just kind, generous, loving people.. I still remember a man that made sure I saw one of their oldest mosques.. it was a Friday and I was so not supposed to be there but he really wanted to show me the beauty of it and argued with the guards outside lol... he gave me a little tour and then I understood why he went through all the trouble, it's been one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in!. I hope to visit Iran soon, your video inspired. I'm Mexican and can relate to Iranians quite well.. the next-door neighbors have never been easy. Much love and thanks for making youtube a better platform! x
Wow, the physicist guy has so much knowledge, so much wisdom, so much of an good impression of an Iranian gentleman. Thank you for this lovely documentary from my country.
Hijab is not only brutal law against women. Yes women are respected by people but there is so many brutal/Islamic law against them. For example they can't be a judge. Or they can't be a president. Their testimony in court counts half a men, i mean testimony of two women is equal of a testimony of a man. List is long.
What a beautiful episode. THANK YOU, Kylie, for creating such amazing, remarkable, touching content. I'm writing this message with tears in my eyes, not only because it is just so beautiful, not only it is the powerful aesthetics, and the technical details, but for the undeniable deep message: traveling helps open up our minds, our hearts, and our souls, allowing us to see beyond our fears and prejudices.
Thanks for showing true beautiful Iran the way it is not the way the western media shows...I interacted with Iranians on different occasions in different parts of the world & I always found them very kind, hospitable & full of sense of humor...Long Live Iran 🇮🇷 lots of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰.
Kylie Flavell The natural smiles on your face showed how much you enjoyed the kindness & hospitality of Iranians...I'm motivated to visit Iran 🇮🇷 soon after watching your vlog...Stay happy & stay blessed.
Outstanding work Kylie. Beyond the heartfelt scenes, this valuable reflection on your own experience has given a wise perspective of how people can be misjudged.
Kia ora Kylie , I'm an indigenous Māori from New Zealand and I truly respect your content every time. I finally had time watch your trip to the Middle East, truly my favorite videos I have watched on TH-cam. I had tears every second of this video xx
Part three was so well done! The interviews with the young girl and later in the piece with the father of Kylie’s host family were priceless. This has certainly been an eye opener for me! I will share this with my Iranian friends in Canada. My dentist is a younger Iranian born Canadian, I need to make him aware of Kylie’s channel and this wonderful series. I know you worked very hard on this series Kylie, your attention to detail and background research shows. You are doing what you were put on this earth to do!
So glad to see I wasn't the only only crying throughout the videos 😊 Kylie, thank you for approaching your visit in a way that allows us to interact with people through your work. I will be one day visiting Iran and I hope I have the opportunity to talk to people.
thank you Kylie for showing us what we couldnt see ourselves in our motherland . and the last 5 mins was so impressive . I was born and raised there but couldnt visit Yazd and some other places and am so grateful by watching your videos . enjoy the rest of your journey
Hi was in Iran in 1978.i live there for 2 years .I loved this crountry. The people were so sweet. I was lucky because I at the chance to go all over the middle east and Europe 🇪🇺 xxx
Thank you yet again Miss Flavell 😍 You have truly been put on this Earth to bring compassion and empathy to people wherever you roam. I feel you are fluent in all of the love languages ❤️ I just wanna get on a plane and go shopping in that souk. That singing was incredibly soulful. You’re a wise storyteller Miss Flavell. I sincerely cannot wait for the next episode of your sojourn. I wish you peace and love from Newcastle, Australia 😘
Omg Kylie, that was beautiful. You give such a compassionate view of what many believe is a mysterious world. So much emotion behind your beautifully shot and narrated films. Thank you!
A beautiful perspective of a beautiful land and people with a rich history and culture. You have truly done justice in video presentations of Iran, a country I much admire and respect. Keep up with the good work
Kylie you can do magic with your camera and beautiful voice...I saw your artistic video and There were tears streaming down my eyes....I am Persian guy and I can speak English little bit but I want to thank you for travel to Persia and I hope you have good time in there....
I inhale the scent of the river. I am now in tears, feeling a loss of childhood memories in the countryside and the time I took to absorb its beauty. Thank you for reminding me to stop and take it all in once more. XJill
I am an Iranian and I got goosebumps and tears throughout the whole video! Thank you so much for making this great quality video about my country. One thing I noticed is that you actually used Persian music. I have seen other videos and most of them used just any middle eastern music, but yours is Persian. Good job :)
Kylie as someone who has lived outside of Iran for the last 40 years your videos of my country moved my husband and I to tears. I left Iran when i was I3 years old but I miss my country every single day. Iran is a beautiful country but what makes it so special are no doubt the people. I am lucky enough to be able to go back and visit at least once or twice a year but it is beyond frustrating how misunderstood we are especially in the states. I applaud your willingness to travel alone and dispel the myths that Iran is not safe. I also absolutely love the way you film and narrate the scenes. Stunning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep traveling and spread the love that is so needed in the world today.
I am glad you enjoyed your visit of Iran. Your kindness and open minded inteactions with local Iranians gave them opportunity to express themselves. Humanity is at its best when love and kindness has a chance to be the dominant inteaction between people.
Wow thank you for being so open and sharing the beauty and richness of Iran and it s ppl and it s culture... as i watched your TH-cam videos about Iran I spoke quietly in my head saying how much i would love to travel to Iran with you. I love how appreciative you are of the love and the light that is generously shared in a country that is seen as the most fear country in the world.... I moved to UK from France in 1991 and I had such a hard breaking the ice to reach the heart of the british then a blessing happened when I met Iranian there with whom being ooen hearted was absolutely effortless. I have never been able to travel to Iran my daughter is 1/2 Iranian and I would love to take her there one day......
Hi Iranians! I'm American and I've watched many videos like this one about Iran. You all seem like wonderful people with a beautiful land and culture. The way you see the world is so beautiful.Even as an iranian you make me so emotional watching your video. The middle east has been in so much pain and injustice for such a long time.besides everything going on in iran i am grateful that it stays safe unlike our neighbours unfortunatelly. you know we have a great poet called Sadi who lived in shiraz and he says : "The children of Adam are the members of one another, since in their creation they are of one essence. When the conditions of the time brings a member to pain, the other members will suffer from discomfort. You, who are indifferent to the misery of others, it is not fitting that they should call you a human being." you know i belive that if one is in pain doesn't matter in which part of the world, the other can not avoid feeling that pain too. love you
Behnaz Goshayeshi Wow, this poem gives me goosebumps and fills my whole heart. I really do want to connect with people who feel the pain and joy of others, even if they are strangers - this has always been my way of living as an empath with what some have said is too much sensitivity to the world. It is a great privilege to make work connects me to people like you. 💞🌸🙏

Well Said...Can't agree more.!!!
Michael, it feels good to see wise guys like you are still out there. Interaction, dialogue, respect and tolerance are what we need to change the nonsense world politicians made for us. Kylie made it look so easy to change the world, thanks to her sweetness, but in reality it takes a lot. Iranian poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri (1928-1980 from Kashan) says;
I don’t know
Why some say that the horse is a noble animal, the pigeon is beautiful
And why no vulture dwells in any person’s cage
I wonder why the clover is inferior to Red Tulip
One must wash eyes, look differently to things, words must be washed
The word must be wind itself, the word must be rain itself

I am speechless to describe my feeling when you encounter with the gentleman on the bicycle.
Safe journey, Kylie. Godspeed.

Collin C thank you Collin!!! 😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks to you for appreciating Iranian culture without making everything hateful and political. You are a very nice person
Thank you.

I praise cultural people ambassadors, such as yourself. You are a wonderful, kind individual. God bless you for spreading peace and friendship.
You are very welcome to come back 🌹
OMG i Love seeing your videos or iran.
Jorge Urquiza I’m so so so glad you feel this way! Thank you for your open mind. 💞🙏

Wow that is amazing! That would never happen in the western world, atleast not where I live.
When isolated in corona, what a joy to travel with you to wonderful countries. May be one day my family and i will go and experience Iran for our selves. Thank you so much
These people dont deserve to be sanctioned. They dont deserve that, especially drugs and food
the people most def not but the government does, drugs and food are not sanctioned but its the Iranian government that abusing the situation and raising the prices.
Do not worry, sanctions imposed by coward and cowboys what we deserve not coming from other treatment our right is what we have within not from outsider. Is just the opportunity and priod for others to show true face of themself.

Beautiful work. Thanks Kylie.

OKAY but honestly this is now one of my new favorite vids... Who else agrees?

I've re-watched the two men singing at the end at least 10 times so far. I'm with you girl.

Kylie as someone who has lived outside of Iran for the last 40 years your videos of my country moved my husband and I to tears. The way you see the world is so beautiful.Even as an iranian you make me so emotional watching your video. The middle east has been in so much pain and injustice for such a long time.besides everything going on in iran i am grateful that it stays safe unlike our neighbours unfortunatelly. you know we have a great poet called Sadi who lived in shiraz and he says :
"The children of Adam are the members of one another,
since in their creation they are of one essence.
When the conditions of the time brings a member to pain,
the other members will suffer from discomfort.
You, who are indifferent to the misery of others,
it is not fitting that they should call you a human being."
you know i belive that if one is in pain doesn't matter in which part of the world, the other can not avoid feeling that pain too.
love you
Behnaz Goshayeshi Wow, this poem gives me goosebumps and fills my whole heart. I really do want to connect with people who feel the pain and joy of others, even if they are strangers - this has always been my way of living as an empath with what some have said is too much sensitivity to the world. It is a great privilege to make work connects me to people like you. 💞🌸🙏
